The "Hotel des Voyageurs" is a charming 2-star hotel arranged in a completely renovated building dating from 1850, with 11 comfortable rooms spread over 3 floors. The hotel is located on the right bank of the Garonne river, next to the "Pont de Pierre" and 10 minutes walk only from the historic heart of Bordeaux and the famous "Place de la Bourse". An excellent address in the quiet, very close to the effervescence of the center !

Detailed Reviews
If you don't need bells and whistles, i.e. can do with basic amenities (air-con is provided however and works well, and also has a timer functionality which is good to switch it the a/c off during the night, start it in the morning again. Or to switch it off to save energy during the day when one is out exploring the city), this is a great hotel, within walking distance to the old town/inner city (just be aware that not all districts and streets in Bordeaux are safe at night for tourists). As the noise isolation in such buildings isn't the best, I'd recommend wearing ear-plugs at night, in order not to get disturbed by neighbours.
The charming host gives many useful tips to explore Bordeaux. A great choice for eco-friendly/conscious travel.
You can also get a breakfast for 10 EUR. The price of the room isn't low, but then again, what's cheap in Bordeaux? It's an expensive region, so the same applies to hotels.

This is a beautiful old style B&B type hotel. Located just across from the Stalingrad tram stop and Pont de Pierre, you have access to the city attractions in a matter of minutes. There are lots of convenient shops and cafes in the area. A small shop just outside that sells fruits, soft drinks etc. A Pharmacy, Wine Bar, several Restaurants, are all in short walking distance.
The room we had was really great. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had a good shower, and the tv had a full selection of local (French language) channels.
Our Hostesses were really nice and accommodating. Due to an issue with our Airline, we needed to leave a day early. We were not charged for the final day, even though we had originally booked it. I felt this was very kind.
Breakfast was lovely. Coffee, Juices, Yoghurts, Cereal, Chocolatine (my fav), breads and jams all on offer.
I would definitely stay here the next time.

We needed a place to stay overnight on our way from Paris to Cap Ferret. Hotel Des Voyageurs was perfect: the room was clean, the bed firm, the linens fresh and comfortable; the bathroom was the same with enough room for toiletries. The staff was also welcoming, informed and friendly. And the location was perfect for us -- restaurants nearby plus an easy walk over the bridge to see the sights and different parts of the city. Also close to the train station where we were meeting friends for our next leg. We were only there for a night but I could easily have stayed longer. The place is not big or fancy, but simple, comfortable and well-located was what we wanted.

We were delighted to find this hotel. It’s in a perfect location, a quiet area but close to the city centre; it’s small, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The lady in charge could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

Annette and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is a well run property in a great location. Everything spotlessly clean. The location is within easy walk of sites and tram. The neighborhood is totally safe. Breakfast is not included, but it's definitely worth taking!

We loved this Hotel. Our room was a decent size, neat and clean, straight forward european standard room. The service is warm and friendly. The erea is the best reason to choose this Hotel. Close to the city centre, but completely off the beaten path. The wieu across the river at night is fantastic! There are winestores, cheesemongers, you name it. Love this place 😊

This is a lovely hotel - very clean, well decorated and comfortable. The proprietor is friendly and helpful, and it's in a good location with a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the old town. If I'm in Bordeaux again I will definitely stay here.

I picked this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and that fact that it was well within my tight budget, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice.
My friend and I reserved room number 24 - it is the only room with 2 separate beds (twin size) - and we both loved the view of from the tall windows.
We arrived by train and took bus #10 to Stanligrad station - and after that it was just a 2 minute walk to the hotel.
The outside of the hotel doesn't look like much.. But the inside is cozy and lovely. Martine greeted us kindly and had us checked in quickly, and from there we lugged our suitcases up the winding staircase (there is no elevator). Our room was super clean, and even outfitted with a flat screen TV and phone. There were lovely travel-sized shampoo and shower gel bottles provided in the bathroom, as well as a hair dryer (which was much appreciated). The quarters are tight but we had everything we needed. I loved that there were wind-up shutters on the windows, as they completely blocked out the light at night. It was also nice and quiet.
The location was fabulous - just a 10 minute walk by foot over the beautiful pont de pierre bridge into downtown Bordeaux.. We also enjoyed staying on our side of town and had a great meal at Café la Bastide (I made reservations online at La Fourchette and got 30% off à la carte menu items! Great deal).
When we checked out, we had trouble getting out luggage back down the winding staircase and a staff member saw us and kindly carried them down for us.
We were also able to leave our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after we checked out, which gave us more time to explore Bordeaux before our return train ride.
All in all, a fabulous stay in a great city! Amazing value too.. We paid about 68 euros a night including the city tax.
