Detailed Reviews
Location is slightly outside the main tourist areas but the tram to the town center is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and just three stops away. The same tram can take you directly to/from the airport. The location is quiet at night which is great for sleeping. There are two mini-markets beside the hotel and bars and restaurants on an adjacent street - so everything you need is to hand. Room was spacious and bed and pillow very comfortable. The air con worked great during hot spell in July. The tapas served in the hotel were very tasty and well priced. Chilled water dispenser in the lobby was welcome during the warm weather. All the staff were very friendly to this senior, solo traveler. Would stay here again.

This is an average hotel. I felt it was overpriced considering what you get- I think you could get much better value elsewhere. The rooms are very small. We were in a family room with two people and it was a squish- not sure how others would fit. No kettle or tea unless requested. Far from the station but close to the cathedral.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our rooms have a whole area of 25m2 and, as you mentioned, all the welcome and comfort products you might need are available on request 24 hours a day at Reception. Hoping to have the opportunity to better serve you during a next stay in Bordeaux.

This hotel was nice and clean. The rooms do not have air conditioning and the mini fridge does not get cold, barely above room temperature. Parking costs 12 a day but it’s not a 24 hour clock. We were parked less than 48 hours and had to pay for 3 days. The staff were nice but did not offer up information that should have been disclosed, until we questioned. The temperatures were in upper 90s and the nights were miserable without cold air.

Hello, It seems that your comment was left on the wrong establishment. All our rooms have air conditioning and a mini fridge. We do not have our own parking lot. A public car park is located near our hotel and the payment is prorated to the parking time. Regards

Nice hotel in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Based on quality of things like the towels and beds, however, this was more like a 3-star hotel. The rooms could have been cleaner and cleaned better (e.g., we found old random stuff under the furniture). The breakfast buffet is delicious!

Maid service was impeccable. It was super safe and as a solo female traveler that is important. Room was so clean and had a small fridge while was nice and a table and couch as well. Nice outdoor drinks area.

Overall our experience of the Novotel Bordeaux Centre was positive. It was well situated for the no. 1 bus from the airport and also for the tram into the city centre. On foot, it is about 15 - 20 minutes from most of the bars and restaurants. Our room was good - all the basics and very clean and comfortable. The room price was also very fair, particularly for Bordeaux. Breakfast, however, was quite expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The only frustration was that after we left we received a message saying that we had not paid for breakfast on one of the days - even though we had actually paid for it in advance. Luckily I had kept the receipt. However, that was likely just a mistake on their part and it was easily sorted. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Bordeaux.

This is a great hotel in Bordeaux for many reasons: It's location is perfect--near the tram stop, as well as stores and laundry facilities (for a long stay). The room was clean and comfortable, with prompt and excellent housekeeping service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and Ioved the fitness center. The terrasse bar was a nice touch also! I stayed 12 days at the hotel with the French Traveler workshop and conference.

The hotel is modern, rooms spacious and clean, with everything you need.
The vibe of the lobby is young and cheerful.
The team is helpful- just ask and they help.
Location is 5 min walk from Cathedral St, Adre, and trams and busses.
We rented bikes, with Carlos's help, they have private parking for the bikes.
If you rent a car they have parking adjuted to the hotel very convenient,

It was ok. Bad at first, they gave us a tiny room for 4. No double rooms, so we had to get 2 rooms for kids and parents. Dinner was good food, but way overpriced. A small bowl of 10 penne costed 6 euro. But overall good stay, people were nice and good service.

We stayed here for our city break to Bordeaux and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff on the reception were so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Check in was quick, it’s a 3pm check in, but the young man told us to come back for 1pm and our room would be ready. They took our luggage for us while we went out. When we came back our room was ready, I had asked for the top floor, which I got. The room was very nice, bed was very comfortable, separate shower room and toilet. A desk, a couch, a mini fridge with complimentary drinks, which were filled up everyday. TV, radio, gowns and slippers, very clean and plenty of room.
We had breakfast with our stay, we had this delivered to our room every morning, this was ordered via a menu which you filled out and hung on your door of a night. You said a time and our breakfast was on time every morning.
The hotel had a great reception, very modern, lots of artwork, there was a bar and a terrace to sit in to have a drink or food. The prices are a little expensive, you can get drinks and food cheaper in town.
It’s under a minutes walk from the tram stop, Palice de justice, so handy to get to and from the airport for 1E90each way each person.
My only moan is that they still let people smoke on the terrace, so if you sit there you get lots of smoke. In todays anti smoking environment I did think this was nit feast. One of their lifts was broken, so everyone had to use the same lift, which meant you could have a wait for the top floor! This was all explained to us when we checked in. This is also a dog friendly hotel, so lots of people with dogs there.
I love my stay here.
