Detailed Reviews
From the moment I walked through the door at this very pretty little hotel I was made to feel very welcome by the simply outstanding young professional and courteous staff!
The hotel room was very nice, clean and extremely well presented both aesthetically and well laid out.
I was genuinely impressed by the young, polite and very respectful staff especially Pierre and Léna who looked after me throughout my three night stay in Bordeaux. My testament to them and the hotel is that I will be returning in 2023 with my wife to finish off Bordeaux and visit all the places I didn’t quite manage to spend as much time as I would have liked!
Thank you Again Hotel Singulier and see you again soon 🍷🇫🇷 ❤️

This little hotel is a gem. It is in the very desirable shopping/dining/ walking area of Bordeaux, and the staff is incredibly helpful. They made dinner reservations, booked a taxi to and from the train station (the only thing not easy to get to), and even helped us at the nearby laundromat when we had trouble with the signage.
Our room was beautifully decorated with everything we could need, and the bed was extremely comfortable. For an American the faucets were a little hard to figure out, but once we did, they seemed self-evident. There is no elevator, but the staff seamlessly handled getting our luggage to and from our room and storing it after checkout until time to catch the train.
Breakfast on the roof with a view of the cathedral is made in-house—even the yogurt—and eggs are cooked to order. It is more than worth the price.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not looking for a large hotel and who can manage stairs.

Not only is Hotel Singulier situated in a fabulous location for exploring the beautiful city of Bordeaux but the superb service from Louis Victor and his colleague could not be bettered. The hotel rooms are very well appointed and the top floor terrace provides a perfect opportunity to escape the city.
I could not recommend this hotel highly enough

We booked a superior room with a view of the city via Hotels.com. When we got to our room it had a window facing an interior wall. We talked to the very friendly staff and they called the owner. He turned up quite a long while later and defensively ranted on about them not having a contract with Hotels.com and that the info we had received was incorrect - any bookings done via Hotels.com was not his responsibility. We questioned why they would even accept bookings via Booking.com if this was the case and he kept repeating that we should have booked with them directly and that he could and would do nothing to help since we had booked via this site that he called out to be criminal and untrustworthy.
After a very long while he finally agreed that if we contacted Hotels.com and they said ok to refund us the charge he would confirm with them. We spent quite a lot of time getting this done so when the Hotels.com agent confirmed they would refund once the owner confirmed we were happy campers. A few minutes later the agent called back and informed us that the owner, who had spoken to us in perfect English for over an hour, now refused to talk to someone who did not speak French.
It’s easy to be nice when all goes well but how you behave in a difficult situation says all about the soul of a place. We managed to get our refund, with zero help from this hotel and its owner. We also manges to find a suite with a view at a lower price and with amazing hospitality in another hotel in Bordeaux.
So, if views and spacious rooms are not your thing then go ahead and book! Just do not book it via Hotels.com.

If you find your travel plans including a visit to Bordeaux and would like to stay at a small refined hotel, then Hotel Singulier owned and run by a young French couple is exquisite. The rooms are lovely, the bath is luxurious and deep. Common outdoor space is relaxing and the location is perfect. The young proprietors are helpful with recommendations without being intrusive. Bordeaux is a beautiful city. You can easily stay a few days enjoying its rich history and sights.

Hotel Singulier is a wonderful experience in the heart of Bordeaux. Right in the center, with a rooftop and a view of Saint Andre Cathedral where you can have breakfast with homemade products by the chef of the establishment. The details of the room are very well thought out and extremely refined (bathrobes, fabrics, chairs and small table with minibar Nespresso machine, etc.). A big thank you to Audrey for her help with wine tours and private car and restaurant reservations. Thanks to Julie and Francois Xavier for their welcome. the experience here is incredible. I highly recommend the hotel and I hope to return there for a future trip.

We stayed in this hotel for just one night but absolutely loved it. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable. The roof terrace is small but delightful and our delicious breakfast was cheerfully carried up 5flights of stairs so we could enjoy the early morning sun whilst we ate lovely food. The hotel is very centrally situated and just a few minutes walk from the main streets. Definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely go back.

I visited Bordeaux for couple of days and very much enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was immaculate, and the roof terrace very nice to hang and see a panoramic view. The staff was particularly friendly, approachable and putting extra care my time was as enjoyable as possible (giving restaurant recommendations). It made my stay more personable, especially in those times when connecting with people can be so limited with COVID.
And their breakfast is just delicious, with homemade cake & sweets, definitely a treat to try!
