This hotel (that's not a hotel anymore, they have closed...) is special! Rooms and the hotel's atmosphere is a mixture of grandmother's house and a antiqueshop. The rooms are big, and clean. But the shower (shared) was quite a "cold dip". We paid 40 € for the night, and enjoyed our stay.
Very friendly host who went out of her way to open her private lockable garage for secure parking overnight. Some very interesting pieces of art/antiques cover this old beautiful house....only wish I had more time to look around. Large bedroom with clean linen. Will defineitly return for another longer stay. Great central location easy walk to the Capicin Marche.
There were a couple of good things about our hotel : well located, room big enough and quiet enough. As for the rest, it felt as if 40 euros was too much for a room not exactly clean (we found a cockroach under the bed) and the decoration reminded us of our grandmother's home.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The decor is lovely- very "French antique" with Persian rugs and oil paintings on every available surface. Anne, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Of course, a downside is sharing a bathroom, but it was very close to the room, always available when I needed it, and always spotlessly clean, so no complaints. The room had everything I needed. The location is really central and I could walk anywhere I needed to, and the tram stop was only a few streets away. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. The only major downside was that the room has no aircon, or even a fan, so it was very hot (being the middle of July). Also, considering that the rooms are often rented out for long stays (e.g. I stayed 8 nights), it would be great to have some basic kitchen supplies like cutlery, crockery and a kettle. I had to buy all of my own, as nobody can afford to eat out for every meal! Wifi would also be nice.…
I was delighted when I entered this pretty little place. It's full of antiques, bric-a-brac and beautiful art! The owner was extremely friendly and helpfull and she keeps the place squeaky clean. And that for 25 euro only! During the night however, I wasn't too happy as the bed was as hard as one may expect of an antique bed. I found the owner, who runs the hotel all by herself, wasn't as friendly and helpful in the morning as she was swamped cleaning the place for the next set of guests... I tried to making a booking a week after and I assume the place was already full as she didn't bother answering her phone or emails..
