Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room resembles that of a premier inn. None of the facilities are included in the price of the room. It is an additional 16-20 euros pp for the gym and sauna/spa use. Breakfast is a set price of 20 euros pp. The terrace where breakfast is served has a bleak view of an area under construction (Jan 2020).
The hotel in itself was clean and the staff helpful and obliging.

Brand new hotel with exceptional staff. I was visiting with a friend and we stayed two nights and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is a bit out of the city ( taxi costs between 30-32 euro from the train station gate at jean) upon checking in the lovely woman ( I am not certain certain of her name but perhaps Natalie and evangeline (?). We’re just fabulous and accommodating. I arrived early and the room was not ready but I went to the wine museum which was a 10 minute walk ( also highly recommended) and returned to them greeting me by name. The room was exceptionally clean. I had a room with two twine off the road this it was quiet. A must visit is the rooftop bar for drinks, live music and a fabulous view. Staff are wonderful there as well. A plus you may store your luggage if needed. The tram is at the end of the street and there are walkable stores (lidl) and restaurants Prices are great Just be advised it if out of the city center and you must walk, rent a bike or take an easy tram

It was a bit outside the city center area, but I liked that. Less traffic and people. Rooms were spacious, staff were friendly. We had a car which we parked in the garage the first night for $20 euros but after that found street parking for free and seemed pretty safe. The spa was the best feature with the saunas and steam room. Great facility about this hotel! The breakfast was good too. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!

We are on day 5 of a 7 day stay and housekeeping has not gotten it right once. Everyday they take all of our soap; every day we have to go to the front desk for it. So far we had days with bath towels and no hand towels. No washcloths. Dirty coffee cups and spoons and glasses left for days. No replacement cream or coffee pods. No bath mat. Today we came home to find they took my embroidered washcloth that I just bought. It was not with the dirty towel, but clearly within my makeup and cleansers. Ridiculous! Truly the worst housekeeping service we have ever encountered.
On the plus side the staff at the front desk could not be any nicer or more accommodating. They are terrific,

Really liked the room and the hotel in general. Reception very helpful on a number of things. The bar has a super view of the river and is a very pleasant place to sit, especially the outdoor terrace. Avoid the unhelpful and not as good as it sounds Wallace bar upstairs though. The hotel is in a great location though you might not think so at first. It’s in a newer part of town just a short walk (10 mins) from the Cite du Vin and the tram stop. The B line there takes you into the old part of Bordeaux in just 10-15 minutes. There are loads of cafes, restaurants and bars close to the hotel, so it’s very convenient (but it’s not noisy in the rooms). I’ll definitely stay here again.

The hotel clean. It had a nice design. Beds were comfortable, but pressure in the shower was poor. Difficult to get the soap off one’s body.
When we arrived on August 18, the lady at the reception was fantastic and we felt really welcome.
For the rest of our stay, from August 19-21, the staff at the reception was rude. When we came to get a luggage on the evening of August 21, both ladies at the reception were extremely rude. They saw us leaving and did not even say goodbye. For info, the reception area was empty so they could have at least showed us some kindness. I personally felt that the were racist. So quite frankly, I would not recommend this hotel. They need to fix their racism problem first.

A very nice hotel that really has everything you need, super standard rooms and a good bed -incl. a great roof terrace and bar, as well as the opportunity to sunbathe. We stayed there for three days. The breakfast and especially the crew were very disappointing. Here, with small steps, it could become a nice one. experience - better selection of toppings and e.g. an offer to get an omelette, and a better selection of youghert with flavours, etc. There was a constant lack of bread, plates - and the crew walked around almost like zombies and were partly absent. In addition to this, a superb hotel with pleasant staff, especially at the reception.

Navigate424556 asked a question Jan 2022
New York City, New York
How far is it to the river boat piers such as Uniworld
Answer from 64kgb
South East England, United Kingdom48 contributions21 helpful votes
From the hotel down to the rivers edge is only an 8 minute stroll or so. To reach the cruise/river boats for example is a good 30 minute walk(Uniworld) - all dependent on your pace. Recommendation: take the tram(they run parallel to the river in this area) from La Cité du Vin(closest to the hotel) to one of the stops near the boats....... Hope this helps...!!
