Though not in the center of town, this apartment hotel is clean, well-run, and convenient to transportation.

Just outside the center, the short tram ride to much of what you want to see and do makes it a convenient place to stay. The neighborhood isn't particularly picturesque and is part of a developing area of old shipping buildings converted into shops, restaurants, and art spaces. It's also a short walk to the new Cite du Vin, kind of a waste of time and money IMO. You're better off spending your time and money going to an actual winery.

Everything is perfect in this hotel:

- great welcome, all the hostesses are smiling, pleasant and give good advice

- perfect location: opposite the direct tram to the city center, 5 minutes walk from the city of wine, opposite the Garonne to stroll on the banks and outside “bord’eau” shops and restaurants

- very well maintained and secure parking (paid)

- the rooms are perfect kitchen area with everything you need: refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave etc... even the tea towel, sponge, dishwasher tablet and dishwashing liquid are provided. Very clean, quiet room, spacious bathroom, very good bedding

I recommend 100% and we will definitely come back!

Good location for a direct tram journey to the city centre and a walk from the City Du Vin and Bassins des Lumières and River Promenade. Clean and modern rooms with all nessessities. A fridge, dishwasher and cooker hobs as well as all kitchen utensils and cutlery are included. Breakfast is available at E16. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the rooms are cleaned every seven days but they did change our towels when asked. There is a well stocked local grocery store right beside the building.

This is a review about not being able to stay at the Residhome Bordeaux. We have spent the night here on three other occasions and had nothing but good things to say. The location is convenient to the Bassins and the Maison de Vin, and a convenient drive across the bridge down to the Megarama in the Vieux Port when we came for the Met Opera live transmissions. This week, however, our plane was delayed two and a half hours, and the Valet service we used shuts down at 11 pm. We had to go to a hotel near the airport to pick up our car. Then on leaving we blew a tire. Rather than try to get a change in the rain and proceed, we decided to stay at the M & Spa Hotel, where we were, even though we were stuck with a non-refundable reservation at Residhome. The desk clerk offered to call Residhome, thought, and told the night clerk there our sad story. I didn't expect it would help us, but lo, the next morning I got an email saying we would not be charged! In my book that deserves a five-star review.

I choose this based on the reviews and value and it did not disappoint. Location is slightly (just) out of centre (20 min walk or 5 min tram) but the walk is very pleasant along the riverside with the old warehouses along the quay converted to shops and cafes. La Cite du Vin museum is just 5 mins walk away and well worth a visit. Close by is a large food hall with lots of options (opposite La Cite du Vin but closed Monday). While I did have some issues with the reservation payment in advance (it seems they are not set up for double authentication of payments so my payment failed with many attempts), a quick call sorted this out and I paid on arrival (no issue once card is inserted in machine). My room was modern, clean, good bathroom with shower and more than expected kitchen area. I had aircon but preferred to leave the window open until the noise from some apartments changed my plan!

I didnt try breakfast on site (walked into town instead and stopped off on the way). I also didnt try the roof top bar (which seemed lively but ran independently of Residhome) and seemed to need a reservation. Wont go wrong here -similar prices around train station area but was not sure about safety based on reviews. No safety concerns in this area.

Two main issues that stopped me for coming back to this hotel again. When we entered the room, the room is quite stuffy so we tried to on the aircon but hot air came out so we called the receptionist which never pick up and we went downstair to check with her. She told us that the they are preparing for the cold weather (7Oct is 21* & 8Oct is 23*) was to come so the heater system is on and they cannot do about it. The only way is to open the window. room has no ventilation so u need to leave the window open. Very noisy throughout the night. But if you close the window, the room is very stuffy!
Prepare to have the anti-mosquito spray or electric diffuser if you do not want to get sting. The mosquitoes are small but they are a lot and very powerful!
Next, the shower water pressure is so low that it takes so long to clean your body especially if you have long hair.
PS: I recorded the water pressure from my room but not able to upload it. So hope this pic helps.

Positioned next to a tram stop, along the banks of the Garonne, the hotel is well located and offers renovated rooms at very reasonable prices.
The only downside is that the staff manages the hotel more like a cafeteria than like a gourmet restaurant... this is understandable, but it's a shame.
Ideal for a short stay.

Excellent stay, clean room exactly as pictured. Great location, good facilities, would definitely stay here again!

Shower gel, hand soap and a hairdryer provided along with fluffy towels. Bring your own shampoo.

Welcome pack provided which included dish cloth, sachet of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablet and two coffee pods which were all appreciated.

Very welcoming staff on reception who couldn’t have been more helpful. Reception was decorated for Christmas which was lovely.

Really well located for the tram, cite du vin, halles de bacalan, supermarkets, restaurants, and boulangerie

This was our first visit to the beautiful city of Bordeaux and we picked this property off the internet. We were delighted with our choice! The staff were very welcoming on our arrival and provided a lot of helpful information about the city, marking key locations on a local map for us. Our room was compact, but highly functional, with a view of the Garonne river outside our window. Everything was clean and in good order and we chose to eat breakfasts and some dinners in the room as the facilities were clean and in good condition. We also appreciated the spacious laundry facilities after a week of walking across the region. There are two supermarkets nearby (one is next door) and the Cite du Vin (a world class exhibit) is on the next block with the Bas Sous-marine only 15 minutes walk away. There is a tram stop out from that take about 10 minutes to get you into the heart of town, although we chose to walk (about 30 minutes) along the river boardwalk, past a myriad of cafes and shops, to get to and from the town centre.
This stay was also great value.
