F1 is usually the most budget-friendly way to stay in France. The downside of this is the location away from the center, because. this hotel chain is positioned as a hotel for travelers by car. However, from the Saint-Jean station you can walk, and to the center by bus. Inside, everything is standard for F1. One wall is devoted to advertising posters from 60-70 years ago, calling for flights by the long-bankrupt airlines Pan American and BOAC. We often stayed in F1, so here everything is familiar to us. Budget minimalism.

1. Location is far from city, nothing available close by after 6 pm.
2. Public transport is not very well connected, although uber costs only 6 to 7 euros to reach main station gare saint jean Bordeaux.
3. Rooms are super tiny at least the one which we took private room with double bed and own bathroom.
4. Breakfast is cheap and good but only if you need something quick to eat,it's not lavish spread ,fair enough for 3 euros.
5. Beds are not very great .linen looked bit dirty.
6. Towels are not includes cost 3 euros.
7.no food in hotel except a vending machine and microwave.
8. The Big big advantage was staff is very kind and friendly.
9. Baggage storage costs 2 euro per bag .
10. Wi-Fi does not work, luckily we had French number with unlimited data so no issue but cannot imagine for travellers.

Overall considering the costly and expensive options in Bordeaux this one wins for those who are on short trip who are spending much time in city and coming back for sleeping only.

Easy access and close to the city, this Regular F1 hotel, which is affordable and simple, but with shared toilet... Was surprised to see they changed the way it used to be: a double bed+single bunk bed and now we had 3 individual bunks, but think they had more different configuration options now. Breakfast included, but just bread, butter and selection of teas and coffees.Calm area, not noise from roads, which helps you rest.

I booked via a different third party site that I'm currently in the process of negotiating a refund with. We booked the sidecar room which does not have a private bathroom and had to pay for use of towels/toiletries - I simply would not have booked if I had known this was the case. The (shared) toilet is like that in a cheap bar, we had to go back to our room to wash our hands and the sink in our room did not have soap.
Whilst I realised this hotel was slightly out of the way I did not realise it was in the middle of an industrial estate in a mostly abandoned part of town barring an encampment of people we walked past to get there. We left after about 10 minutes and found accommodation elsewhere.

We were on foot - after exploring wonderful Bordeaux for the day. Getting to the hotel was a scary, unpleasant experience.
It should not be attempted by anyone on foot.
Until the development of this area is complete, the hotel should make clear that, without vehicular transport, it is not a sensible option.
Once there(!) the room was on the small side (we new this) but clean. However, our sleep was broken by late arrivals, a dog and a naughty baby - who cried occasionally in the middle of the night! Not sure what paper they used for the walls...
We won't be going back! There are lots of other hotels closer to the Gare - slightly more expensive but...

Our stay at F1 left a lot to be desired. The staff were rude and the aircon didn’t work due to a storm that had happened the night before. Needless to say it was very very humid on the third floor. When we did inquire about the aircon situation the front desk person didn’t speak English, which is fine. We offered our translation app for him to type into, he exclaimed “f*ck that” before reluctantly using the app to communicate with us. The hotel itself is clean but very far away from anything. There aren’t any cafes or shops nearby, unless you have a car you have to catch a bus and a tram to get to the centre or walk the 30 minutes in the stifling heat. One other thing is they advertise that you can drop your bags early for a fee but when we arrived earlier than check it they wouldn’t let us do this and made us wait outside until check it. I’d suggest just staying somewhere else.

This hotel sucks. Never ever I'll come back again.

Cons: Tiny room, tiny toilet (paying an extra), no towells (you have to pay 3 euros for a microfiber towel that is the one I could use to dry my car), cheap and horrible breakfast, holes in the bed sheet, the hotel is located in a dark industrial area close to the river. I don't recommend to go for a walk at night. I reckon if you are a crack dealer it is a fantastic place. The man in the hotel reception is not very nice. Paying the two towels the room cost around 60 euros. I prefer to pay 100 euros in a proper hotel.

Pros: Free parking. At least the room was clean. The woman in charge of the breakfast was so nice and spoke spanish.

Very convenient 20 minuet walk from the Arena which is why we chose it. Clean and tidy rooms. We had 311 and 312 which had the en-suite. The rooms are small but certainly served their purpose. Very friendly staff.

We had the booking for a short stay in town on our way to the Atlantic coast camping.

The free parking was good to leave the car and sleep in a clean renovated room. AC was working and we turned it off to get the air from the window. Perhaps a pest net might serve in order to be able to stay on open window without bothering any mosquitos.

Easy checkin and no check out as the key is a six-digit code you get with your invoice.

Friendly welcome by one of the employees, even late arriving in the evening, on the other hand pitiful and disgusting room , spider web, spots and so on...
Shared toilet always occupied (2 per 100 rooms or so) and really not clean.
hallway light coming out through the door seal on all night.
Room very poorly insulated.
Put 50€ more if you need it for a real room elsewhere because the c is a shame to put it online.
