Great location, near Solihull town centre, very close to the train station. Handy if you travel by train. Inside the decor is really stylish and modern, very clean. Rooms are beautiful. Friendly staff, very helpful. Really nice breakfast. There is also a gym and a pool but I could not use them due to COVID. I will definitely be staying here again and hopefully will be able to enjoy all the facilities the hotel has to offer.
It was a lovely clean modern room, with a comfy bed and I had a great night sleep. Very friendly and helpful staff greeted me. It is a great location near the town centre. Great value for money. I had breakfast in my room, which was very convenient. Gym was closed due to COVID. I am looking forward to staying at St John’s again soon.
Nice hotel and lovely staff, affordable and confortable rooms, right next to all shops in Solihull town center. Very clean too which is very important for a nice safe stay during the Pandemic. Supermarkets are also next door only a minute walk ,black Cabs also a minute walk if you don’t want to call a taxi and wait ,bus stop right in front of entrance
The VOCO Hotel in Solihull has been refurbished to a nice standard and I am sure would normally be a superb place to stay. Location is marvellous for the town centre, a five-minute stroll away and for the public transport exchange including the railway station which is only ten minutes flat walk away. When I resided here for two nights I encountered some issues which caused my requirement to draw this to the attention of the management; it is testimony to the excellent customer service levels of the hotel that my complaint was listened to, understood and satisfactorily resolved by the hotel management as a matter of urgency. Not every time that you stay away everything goes to plan however when matters go wide of the mark it is the direction that the company takes which, in my eyes, show the company in the true light. Here the management and staff were excellent and I was happy that they had learnt from my below par experience; therefore I would return and recommend the hotel.…
We stayed on Saturday night and found the hotel easily. Paid £45 for the night through laterooms.com, which was a good price. It was really close to the town centre, so great for drinking and dining out. The room was clean and really beautifully decorated, very quiet too until about 7:30am, so we got a good night sleep Didn’t use the leisure facilities or dining facilities so can’t comment There were a lot of guests not wearing face masks which was disappointing as there were signs everywhere and staff didn’t ask them to put on a mask. Only down side is the onsite car park is £10 for 24 hours which I wasn’t aware of when booking and usually when you are staying at a hotel parking is free, so maybe that is something the management can consider.
