Detailed Reviews
We have stayed here a few times and love it! The rooms are so comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. There is plenty of parking. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and it is the best breakfast I have had in a hotel ever!! The White Hart is so near to where our daughter and family live we will be regular visitors and can't think of a better place to stay.

We stayed few days at the inn as a part of business/couples visit to Swindon. It was a great pleasure staying at the White Hart - staff very friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable and clean, bar and restaurant menu were tasty and in good amounts, WiFi was going great. In the cons side could say only the lack of fruits in the menu.

We were realy impresed by this pub and hotel. The hotel is a seperate building so there are no issues with noise. The rooms are modern, spotless and comfortable. Good size TV and a nice powerfull shower. We ate in the pub and there is a good selection on the menu, more gasto than pubgrub without being silly money. Food was very good would and the service was excelent. I had pork wraped in ham, my wife had a chicken burger. We will have to go back as i saw a burger on another table and must give it a go.

Booked here as was passing through did not expect much but had been reviewed well. The staff in the pub are friendly and helpful. The food is good value and good size portions. Breakfast is made to order from the menu and there is a good pastry selection too. Great size room and bathroom. The shower is hot and delivered good power. Even though its next to the a415 it was a quiet room. It was a bit on the cool side for winter but other than that I could not fault it. Would stay again.

Stayed overnight Friday to Saturday on a leisure trip to the area.
My evening meal and breakfast were both freshly cooked and extremely enjoyable. All staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The draught beer was well kept and several good bitters were on tap.
My accomodation, in the seperate building just across the way, was very comfortable, clean and spacious.

This was my/our third stay at the White Hart and that alone tells you that it is such a fabulous Hotel. too many accolades to write but everything was above and beyond expectations. The rooms were much bigger than expected and beautifully appointed. Easily on par with the Premier Inn chain but a little bit more special in every way. The Hotel has style, class and character, which is sadly lacking in the larger chains. The staff are simply wonderful and you can have a good chat with them, regardless of the time of day or how busy they are. The restaurant has an eclectic menu but everything is freshly cooked, so you really do get the best meals. The restaurant isn't a bland space, you do feel as though you are in a much classier restaurant and it is always busy. Free parking and quick access to the major routes makes the location ideal for all clientele. We will most definitely be returning for multiple stays and will be looking forward to it. Thank you and see you soon.

Writing this on behalf of my nephew who stayed for a few days as we didn't have room in the house for him. He was very happy with his room, which was quite spacious and comfortable, and he really enjoyed the English breakfasts served in the main building. There was a lot of choice for the breakfast, he could have had more continental style. He said the staff were very pleasant, and altogether his stay worked out very well.

Seems the reviews of this place are great, for me not so much.
The room looked great, basic, but fine, as did the accommodation building which is apart from the main pub/restaurant. However the room that I had at least (room 3) is in need of some maintenance. The shower doesn’t stay high, it slides down the wall, so the only way to shower was the hold the shower head yourself. Not ideal.
The TV couldn’t get a signal, constantly just filled with the digital block and high pitched sound of not having a strong enough signal, so unwatchable. This may have been related to the number of people watching tv at that time, because when I tried the next morning very early when I’m sure most were asleep, it worked fine. However, there were only about 5 cars in the car park, so I’d hardly say it was busy.
The “King bed” was actually 2 singles pushed together, so it didn’t take much to find yourself in a tight embrace from the 2 mattresses as you slid between the gap.
Checkin needs to happen before 8pm ish, something to be aware of! Seemed a strange rule, but a rule none-the-less, they don’t hide it, I just missed it.
The restaurant, which is apparently nice, also stops serving food at 8:30pm. To me that seemed very early, especially for a Friday night.
The breakfast, I had high hopes for the breakfast being in a well recommended restaurant. The hot food was nice and well cooked, clearly good quality sausage, eggs and bacon. However they don’t serve fruit, not even a banana in sight, which was unfortunate. What go me most however was when I asked for a latte rather than a filter coffee, I was informed that wasn’t available, the machine isn’t turned on for breakfast. So I enquired when it was turned on, breakfast seeming to me at least to be a very good time to turn it on, later in the day for lunch I was informed. How strange, the coffee machine is NOT turned on for breakfast. I wonder how many machines they had to turn on to cook my 1 sausage and 1 egg, but the coffee machine was clearly a step to far.
Would I go again if in the area, well, the location is very handy for my family and the M4, so who knows, but it certainly won't be a given.

My wife and I decided at the last minute to visit some villages in an area we once lived. We found this pub/hotel on the internet and it’s reviews were good. We were not disappointed. Arrived to smiles from the staff in the reception we were given all the necessary information and proceeded to our very clean and modern double room. The rooms are in a block separated from the main pub/restaurant. We ate both evenings from their menu and I would certainly recommend the belly pork. Breakfasts are served to request from the previous evenings and are cooked fresh to order or there is a selection of cereals etc. If we are ever back in the area we would no hesitation in staying again. Thank you to all the staff 👍

Easy to find, off the main road.
Hotel Reception isn't directly in your face in the car park, as neither is the front door to the Pub, the hotel is separate from the pub, and the staff in the pub seemed disorganized when we walked in, they spotted new people walking through the door, but no one seemed to do anything about us.
*Don't take your luggage in, you have to go into the pub first, Get the keys first then pick your luggage up to go to the hotel room on the way.
After rambling in, I asked for assistance with where to book in. I was directed to a tight spot with a small till on it, They took my name and gave us the keys which are operated by a card and so is all the electricity in the room when you put it into the slot just inside the door, and inside it looked like the Premier Inn too.
Surprisingly comfy beds, as they did look hard. I didn't get the full sleep I should have had, it is quite noisy in this spot being off a main road.
The room had everything necessary, the shower was amazing and powerful, and the wifi was ok, although we did use our own Tethering to our phones, as it wasn't secure enough for transactions.
Breakfast was very good, very quick service. I recommend the Porridge and the Eggs Benedict.
The pub could have done with a duster around the tables in the breakfast room, cobwebs everywhere, the real sort. Looked like it hadn't been touched for weeks. But cutlery was very clean.
