Detailed Reviews
We booked this hotel specifically to attend a nearby gig, it was in a handy location at a good price. There is a carpark directly opposite although annoyingly, you have to walk right round to the other side to gain access.
The hotel itself is "ok." functional but nothing special. The man on reception was friendly and helpful. We didnt really see anyone else. We didnt eat in the hotel. The hotel was reasonably quiet. Some road noise during the day, but fairly quiet at night.

Following a trip from Devon to Longleat, we stayed over for one night and were pleased to see that Travelodge was well appointed with services matching most other Travelodges we'd stayed at before.
The beds (double and 3 singles got family room) were comfy and with sufficient bedding and pillows, lighting good and bathroom clean and stocked.
There was some noise from the main road outside through the night, but if this was an issue we'd have chosen a quieter location so it did not disturb us.
We decided on a whim to partake in their English Breakfast (as under 15s eat free and out 12 year old is a greedy gullet) but left it late and went down at 9.15am ahead of the 10am end of breakfast so it was empty and some of the good had been sat out for a long time.
The member of staff Jamie was extremely attentive, checking what was there and asking if we needed anything before going to cook fresh eggs and some vegan sausages specifically for my wife. Very friendly, approachable, Jamie could not have been more helpful.
The food was good, the setting clean and tidy so was a nice finish to our visit.
Highly recommended as a place to stop if you're in the area :)

Love this hotel. All the staff all make you feel so welcome and cannot do enough for you. The cleanliness is brilliant but I think with the current climate (as with any others) the price is expensive.. main road side can be noisy if windows and vents aren’t closed properly and with no a/c only a fan these rooms do get warm. Beds are amazingly comfortable though bathroom needed a bit more tlc. But overall it’s lovely hotel. Any problems and the staff will help in anyway possible :-)

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and the staff were always really friendly and welcoming. I ended up needing to borrow the iron and the ironing board and a hairdryer and they have provided everything in time.
The place is quite noisy because the hotel is located quite close to the main roads and the train station which makes it convenient to travel and access all the amenities but the noise insulation could be better so grab a pair of earplugs with you just in case. There is no aircon in the rooms which does not really matter unless it's a hot summer, otherwise there's a heater in every room and a fan is also provided. The exterior was recently renovated but the interior is still old style rooms.
Just like in any travelodge you have a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, as well as detachable coat hangers. The windows have a guard on them so they won't open too far.
All facilities work as expected, and the staff really makes this hotel special. 7/10 comfort because of the noise and aircon 10/10 staff, 10/10 location

The carpet in room was filthy. Previous person stayed dropped something on the floor but was never cleaned up. Moreover if I pay amount for cooked breakfast it means cooked not heated up frozen food. I could get better breakfast from costa fir the same amount I paid

Arrived late at night and wa sgiven a quite room this was anything but a quite room it overlooked a center court and all night there was shouting balling talking as it must have been some smoking shelter gathering place for staff/residents.
The room itself was good for the price however arrive to a used toilet roll dirty toilet scummy bath and dirty towels. The bed was pretty hard and the TV on and about 4 programs programmed in to it
From what I gathered it was being used as a emergency shelter place from my opinion which didn't help the situation and issues.
Breakfast was basic but okay it put you on continental style afternoon food was average to say the least not alot on the menu and they didn't have everything on the menu. Majority of it tasted ike it had been microwaved.
Staff was pretty busy so you could end up waiting at the reception/bar for a while before being seen to.
My room wasn't cleaned once in the 5 nights was there and toilet roll was topped up once.
No psrking was available you have to park in a multi story across the road at a discounted rate.
Felt fairly secure however with the location being swindon its not a safe place to be in general someone was stabbed and killed 5 minute walk from it.
To get in to town its a short walk across the road so location is pretty good to town.

I have now stayed at this hotel for 3 days a week for two weeks due to clinical work in Swindon. I can’t thanks the staff enough for there hospitality and support. I do however feel for the staff, as the lack of people using the hotel using masks amazes me. The staff try and remind the visitors about the mask rules. Just a shame people don’t have more respect for those still working through the pandemic.
Sue was able to accommodate a room change to have a bath for me with no hassle. I’ve seen so much cleaning the staff are doing throughout the day to ensure the safety to those visitors.
Well done to the team at Swindon Travel lodge central. See you next week

Our group were very well looked after during our short stay at the hotel. We were a large group and all of the staff worked incredibly hard to ensure everything went smoothly from checking in on a busy Saturday night to our departure on the Sunday. The extra efforts for ensuring the breakfast food remained topped up and tables were reset quickly was really appreciated. Thanks to all the team, especially Stuart!

For a budget hotel the price wasn’t that cheap. The room was basic and unloved but fine for a one night stay. However, the bathroom was dirty, mould around the bath, toilet not been bleached and sink stained. Couldn’t shower due to the dirt in the bath. A deep clean would’ve sorted it but obviously the cleaners don’t know what to use. Wouldn’t stay here again due to this. Breakfast was also basic and not bad but not worth adding extra just go to a cheap breakfast cafe instead.

We stayed in Swindon for 1 night, which was a total write-off as we were kept up throughout the night by a group of guests throwing gas canisters one by one out of their window above us, which landed on a metal platform right outside our window. The noise was terrifying and it went on For a long time. It woke up our children, our dog was terrified and we had no idea what was going on as it sounded like fireworks or even shots fired right outside our window. I tried to call reception no one answered, when I complained the next day the receptionist didn’t know anything about it! To make up for it, he said, head office would send us a discount voucher of 50%, which he probably made up to get off the hook and get us out of his face as it never arrived. Such a bad experience and totally unaccountable staff. Don’t stay here!!!

With an adult I assume
Easiest to ring and ask.
Two public car parks across the road. Use the multi storey and get the hotel to validate your ticket for cheaper rates
Travel lodge is opposite almost
Hope that helps
