Hotel's Favourite
The Premier Inn at Swindon Central met my high expectations - a warm welcome from staff, a good sized room, excellent toiletries and a comfortable bed. The free Wi-Fi was sufficient for my needs. The pub/restaurant next door had a full menu for our evening meal and breakfast and the Premier Inn meal deal provided amazing value for money. The limitless Coca Cola soft drink machine was brilliant.

If the hotel in the centre you may expect it to be called central, this hotel in not in town but meets our needs for a local music venue we use. Having visited this particular hotel on a number of occasions we know what to expect, nice greetings within the hotel and an adjoining pub that attracts the local families. Net result when a buffet breakfast all you can eat is on offer is mayhem!! Not particularly nice and as the hotel,is a little out of the way your only option
The heating is by an electric heater in the rooms but works adequately and the car park is spacious and free which is a bonus
The hotel,is good value the pub is just poor and on this our last visit the ladies was not useable due to it being unclean (enough said)
We will probably return due to its location but feel there must be a better option for eating

We found this recently built hotel in a quiet modern industrial unit location about 7-8 minutes by car from the town centre. After online check-in we were quickly given our keys and found our typical Premier Inn room in very good order. With a very comfortable bed, hair dryer, flat screen tv and powerful shower over bath we had all we needed for a one night stopover. We didn't use the next door pub for dinner or breakfast. For only £35 the hotel proved excellent value for money.

We stayed in the Swindon Central Premier Inn for one night while visiting a relative for their birthday weekend. There was plenty of parking in a well-lit car park with security cameras. The hotel was modern and well presented. The room was comfortable and very clean. There was plenty of storage for clothing, bags and other items, facilities for making a hot drink and spare pillows in a clean storage bag. Meals were provided in a separate Brewers Fayre restaurant, just a short stroll across the car park. We had dinner and breakfast there. The restaurant was clean, well laid out and nicely furnished. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The choice of food for our evening meal was a bit limited, but the food was well cooked and very tasty. Breakfast was a mixture of self-serve cereals, breads etc and table service for hot food. There was a good choice of all items and we enjoyed a lovely relaxed breakfast. We didn't have to leave our room until 12pm, which meant there was no rush and we could stay there until we were ready to go to our relative's house for lunch. Overall a good and enjoyable stay.

Friendly staff and clean fresh smelling room. The Brewers Fayre for food was not so good especially breakfast. Sausage was overcooked. No bubble and squeak I was told when the plate was put in front of me so I asked for a hash brown this was very greasy. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection though. Of course none of this is anything to do with the Premier Inn

The staff were nice and checking in wasn’t any hassle, but the room itself wasn’t great; mainly because there is no air con.
If you’re thinking about staying here during the summer months, I would highly recommend you don’t. The room we stayed in was so hot and the one window did not open more than 4 inches. We were provided 2 fans but this just circulated the warm air.

Quite a few things my room was clearly a multi person room and as I booked this and arrived shortly after I’m sure the room must of already been made up , it had a double bed and a single one yet only 2 hand towels and one bath towel clearly not enough large towels to bathe adequately.
The receptionist on arrival was not particularly friendly and not very chatty,
I booked a meal deal as well and can say I was horrified with the level of service and as the receptionist said on my way back in the restaurant is nothing to do with us yet you sell the deal this does not make sense you don’t want your guests to be happy as I am concerned I bought my meal with premier inn not another company.
The restaurant was so understaffed there was one lady covering a bar and also covering food orders she had between 6/8 people queuing for food and about 5/6 people in the bar no one knew who was next, this lady remained cool and her service was exemplary I am sure had it been most other people they would of just walked out you expected far too much out of her doing 2 people’s job.
Only 2 other staff members visible there was 2 ladies taking food to the tables.
Also my food was not cooked as requested I asked for well done on my steak that came with my mixed grill this had blood running out of it so either the chefs were too busy and did it as they did or ignored the customer preference of cooking.
The queues were just getting bigger as more people came for dinner. I would have stopped for a couple of more drinks but I did not want to put the staff under any more pressure it did not feel welcoming to me.
On returning to the hotel I visited your vending machine there were a few items out of stock mostly diet drinks by the look of it , when I selected a couple of items these were quite over priced eg £1 for a can of drink I entered the number and the actual cost was £1.70 this is false advertising not having the correct price displayed so again I would not pay the excess so left without buying again.
I believe the bottles were displayed £2 but £2.30 when selecting the number.
The bed was quite creaky and not that comfortable either.
All in all should I be visiting your area again I think I would look at another hotel chain
I did not feel that comfortable or welcome to be fair

Good clean room. Friendly staff. They need to think about how many people are in the room and provide towel, mug, tea & coffee etc for the 3rd person even if it is a child. Room was very hot even with the fan on. Overall good stay.

Stayed for two nights in a very spacious comfy room with modern bathroom. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Only criticism of the room was lack of power points near the bed. The usb charger was helpful but had to run an extension lead across the room to gain power access near the bed. Secondly the free WiFi is very poor compared to other premier inns we have stayed in. However we would definitely recommend and stay if back in Swindon.

Hotel - usual premiere inn, clean comfy beds but unfortunately as with most premiere inns the room was a constant 30°c despite it being between 17°c & 22°c outside. No air con, no ventilation and the tiny window only opens enough to fit two fingers in the gap, therefore for the entirety of the two night stay I slept in the car in the car park and my wife and 3 children endured the extreme heat and lack of air. They do however supply a cheap plastic fan that makes an excellent job of circulating the hot air around the room. No more premiere inns for me, this one was the last straw.
