We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as usual. Most amazing beach on the island. Although the lack of internet and even cell service is inconvenient at times, its nice to unplug. Im amazed at how quiet the campground gets at night, there always seems to be a sense of mutual respect amongst campers here.

we actually just used the beach which the entrance is at the end of the road past the campground through the bush and you can park in the clearing and walk a bit down with the campground on the right. I think mostly locals know about this entrance. It is a lovely beach to relax on which we did and have a picnic. Really high winds but also nice like Thunder beach next door wide expanse of sand and rock formations so nice it was just beautiful quiet place to relax. We used the store at the campground a couple of times and there are food outlets there. lots of choice for groceries at the store and the campground looked just lovely it was even busy in June when we went

Thanks for the feedback! We are glad to hear you loved the beach. We may be biased, but we think its one of the best in the area. We hope you will come stay with us in the future and experience all the amenities the park itself has to offer.

We have been camping here since 1976, in a tent along the front sites facing the ocean. The sites were clean and the views were breathtaking. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The service was exceptionally friendly and friendly. The place did not disappoint us even with these difficult times in Covid-19. I wish it was not so expensive, for tenting and no services but well worth it. The beach ,the dunes and so many places to walk to appreciate this nature beauty.

Went on our annual vacation to Twin Shores and it was not like it has been in the past. Typically it is a fun filled family vacation, evening bonfires on the site or beach, trips to the arcade, and treats from the ice cream shop.
This year we noticed a real decline in customer service and respect. My daughters and I went for ice cream and the Treats counter and made a minor request with the ice cream she wanted (cup vs. cone) and was denied without offering a different option. Then on another occasion we went to the Cafe for breakfast and made a minor request (cream cheese on the side in stead of on the bagel) and it was denied after saying yes and me paying for it. The staff member actually refunded the money? I was shocked.
We overheard a staff member rudely speak to a camper who was requesting a golf cart with lights. The staff member was walking away from him while snapping back that he had to request that when he reserved it online. No regard for listening to the guest (who likely paid a small fortune to rent it for his stay) and explaining nicely how to request it, or check to see if there was another option. Even a simple "I'm so sorry that we don't have any available today, can you come back tomorrow when we have some returned, and I'll exchange it out for you if I can" Just a "talk to the back as I'm ignoring you" I thought it was incredibly disrespectful.
Lastly, we stayed on the left hand side of the campground and it smelled of strong sewage. We asked a worker about it and he said that the sewage only gets pumped out once per week on Tuesday. There were still three days left until that would happen. Yuck.
Also a side note... Did you know? You are not allowed to play music on your campsite, even during the day? A maintenance worker we were talking to, let us know we should consider turning it off, he said that security files complaints to the owner. I've never heard of this before here or at any other campground.
The campground scenery and beach is wonderful (and on the expensive side), but the staff and camping feel is not. All in all we decided not to rebook for next year (the end of the stay you can pay $50 to reserve your spot). We will be looking for a new location to spend our vacation next year. Good luck Twin Shores with your rotten attitude. Before too long the whole campground will be as stinky as the "left side".

We’ve just arrived and the facilities seems nice but we have a pop-up camper and the bathroom closest to us isn’t set up for more than one person to use at a time even though there are two stalls. There‘S a review from July 2019 pointing out the lack of privacy in the bathroom stalls. The top of the stall comes up to about my shoulder. If you are standing at the sink, you can look right over into the stall. In fact, if you are using the sink, you need to make an effort NOT to look into the stall. It’s really awkward and uncomfortable. There was a reply to the earlier review saying they’d do something about it but it’s 3 years later and clearly nothing’s happened. This is our first night here, we we haven’t really experienced much of the facilities but this is something that’s so basic and necessary that it has the potential to make our stay really uncomfortable.

Thanks for the review. It has been a tough few years for many businesses, us included. Over the last few years, we had to make operational changes due to COVID-19, so some things on our list of to-dos were put on the back burner, this being one of them. We will look more into this for the future and work to rectify the issues as best as we can. Thanks for the feedback!

PRO’s
This is a beautiful campground and a lovely beach. The facility is well-maintained and the staff are great. There is a playground, tennis courts and lots of space for children to play.
CON’s
However, despite them telling you that Wi-Fi is available in the campground, unless you are within 100 meters of the office forget it, it is simply not available. They have Wi-Fi antennas perched on top of the administration buildings but whoever installed this system obviously never performed a radio path analysis and it didn’t occur to them that the thousands of trees simply attenuate the signal down to zero.
It is also a bit on the expensive side compared to similar campgrounds.

Hi there. We are glad to hear that, for the most part, you enjoyed your stay with us! We understand that the wifi connection can be frustrating, you are absolutely right- due to our location and beautiful pine trees, it is extremely hard to provide a strong connection. We are always working to improve the wifi, however the only guaranteed hotspot is at Twin Perks Cafe.

Used to be our favourite campground but has gone down hill. There has been no investments in anything for kids yet prices continue to climb. Feels more like they are targeting adults instead of young families. Premium sites are far from premium, they are becoming overgrown, pads are not level for your trailer and no wifi at all. WAY OVER PRICED!!

Hi there. Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your stay. We have always strived to have a family-friendly feel in our park, and we are sorry to hear that you felt differently. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve, please let us know. We do undertand that the wifi connection can be frustrating, however because of our location, it is extremely hard to get a good strong connection.

This wasn't our first visit to Twin Shores but sadly it will be our last. The sites were poorly maintained and the staff were very rude. There was garbage at our site and the people who left ahead of us must had trouble getting their trailer out because it was really muddy and you could see where they spun their tires. We almost got stuck backing our trailer into the site and it was a hot dry day. They were also having septic issues so one side of the campground often smelled like sewer.
When I was in the registration office, there was a man talking to staff about a disrespectful interaction he and his family experienced with one of the owners. He was being very calm and respectful and seemed to have a legit concern but a woman who identified herself as one of the co-owners didn't seem to care. When he left, she laughed about the situation and made fun of the customer knowing I was standing right there. You could tell the more junior staff were embarrassed by her behavior. The whole interaction was very unprofessional.
I have heard the campground is under new management which makes sense given all the recent negative reviews about how they treat people. There are so many great places to stay in PEI but keep away from this one!

Twin Shores is the best place to camp with families. Beach is so close and beautiful. Activities for rainy days are awesome. Cafe for caffeine boosts. Laundry facilities are fabulous. Study the map to find the best sites- ultimately you will not regret any time spent here!

Amazing camping at Twin Shores. This family resort has everything!! Beautiful beaches, walking/biking, amazing beaches & gorgeous views. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A lot of things for kids- you will never be bored. I only wish I had booked more time. We will absolutely be going back for a couple of weeks next summer. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Hi there! The Beach Shuttle is now up and running, but with limited seating due to Covid-19 guidelines. Wait times may be longer this year. There is a parking area at the end of Leeward Drive for the beach. The time to walk depends on the site you are at, but on average it takes about 10 minutes if you are on Bayside, 5 on the Main Side.
Hi there! Yes, that is allowed!

Hi Melissa! This year, we do have some fruit and veggies in the General Store. The quantities and types vary. If we do not have what you are looking for, please ask one of our store associates for assistance. Thank you! Happy Camping!
Hello there! Unfortunately, no, there is not a washer/dryer in our cottages. However, as Blair noted, there are 3 laundromats located around the park: one on the bayside (which would be the closest to the cottage), and two located on the main side of the park. The main laundromat beside the General Store is the largest. Hope this helps! Happy Camping!
