Simply the best beds and most sound proof room I ever stayed in. The owners of this cute B&B are the nicest people you could ever meet and bent over backways during my stay. But the rooms are out of this world when it comes to getting a homeley feeling. The linnen the mattress the soundproofing you would swear you were the only person staying. Add that all up you definitely would not think you were staying right in the heart of Killarney but that is exactly were this house is just 60m from the heart of this lively fun town yet when you close your door your in the peacefull tranquility of silence. Toni and Danny are the owners and all I can say is for the super value they give a room for this is simply a must f your visiting Killarney. Thanks Toni your a star 🌟

My wife and I love Ireland and spending time at small family run establishments. We have fallen in love with Sheehan’s Larkinley Guest Accommodations in Killarney. The six bedrooms are clean, and well furnished, each with a flat screen TV and Wi-Fi in every room. There is a lounge area for relaxing, reading and a large TV there as well. The kitchen has recently been remodeled and is bright and welcoming. The proprietors: Toni and her husband Danny are friendly, kind and go out of their way to make your stay one to remember. It is just a very short walk to all the downtown action of Killarney. So, you’ll have no need for a car or taxi to get to a restaurants, shops, and Irish pubs. But in my opinion the best reason for staying at Larkinley’s Guest Accommodations is the touring service Danny Sheehan can provide. Here are my reasons for making that statement: 1. Most tour drivers we have used have such a heavy brogue they are at best, difficult to understand. Danny Sheehan speaks clear and understandable English so you will get EVERY word he pronounces. 2. We have used numerous tour operators/drivers while in Ireland and most can provide general information of what you will be seeing, but I have found their descriptions often lacking in detail and background. 3. Danny has a command of the complete history of Ireland, past and present. He will point out landmarks and give you background on how they came to be. He attended Kerry College and completed all seven levels of the National Tour Guide Program. So, if you’re planning on going to Killarney, I’d highly recommend booking your accommodations at Larkinley Guest Accommodations and reserving the driving services of Danny Sheehan. Whether you have rented a car or brought your own, using Mr. Sheehan’s tour service will enable you to sit back, enjoy the beautiful countryside and learn the background and history of what you are observing. Even if you are staying somewhere other than the Larkinley Guest Accommodations, I’d recommend you call and reserve the driving services of Mr. Sheehan.

This is my second time staying at the Larkinley Lodge and that should say it all. The room is spotless and you can’t ask for a better location, just a short 5 minute walk to restaurants and pubs. Toni is an absolute gem! Makes you feel like you’ve got a family away from home. We also booked a private tour to the Dingle Península through Toni and it was also such a great experience. It’s a bit more expensive than the bus tours but for us it was worth every penny and Gil was amazing. If you are looking for a great, clean, safe place to stay in Killarney this is it. Please keep in mind they aren’t doing breakfast anymore but there is a community kitchen for guest use. This wasn’t an issue for me or my party.

By far the best place to stay! Convenient, very clean, and super friendly. We stayed three days and walked almost everywhere because of its central location. Even from the train station, it’s a short walk. I had a room downstairs facing the street, and my friend had a room upstairs and we both slept great!!! No issues at all!

Me and my group that stayed at the Larkinley House were here for a study abroad trip. One of our assignments was to be dropped off in a city we had never been to, with enough money to last the night and next morning. We had to find lodging and food all with no phone. Even though they were technically closed, Toni took us in and gave us rooms to stay in. She and her husband cleaned for us and set out fruit and tea from their own kitchen for the morning. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Toni gave us recommendations on where to eat and without us knowing, called ahead to all the places she recommended to make sure that they served us well and knew we were students with limited money. They were the absolute sweetest and a huge blessing to me and my group. We loved talking with both Toni and Danny and were very thankful for them. The rooms were very nice with lots of storage. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were so nice. The common area and kitchen downstairs gave me and group a good space to hangout and play games. Highly recommend staying with them!!!

A fantastic experience. I stayed here with 4 other students studying in Ireland from America. We were offered great hospitality and the facilities were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and had assets in them including a hairdryer, plenty of outlets, nice mirrors, a T.V., plenty of storage space and ect. The kitchen area was quite nice and gave us space to hang out, play cards and drink tea. There was also a living space with a T.V. and plenty of couches for seating. We all felt very welcomed here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Killarney. As a group we decided it felt more comfortable than a hotel room. We were thankful to our hostess and she gave us great recommendations for where to eat and places to see before we left Killarney.

My American classmates and I got dropped off in Killarney with no phones and some money for boarding and food. After looking around, we found this absolute gem of a bed and breakfast. Toni took us in, gave us bedding, put out fruit for us, made sure we had nice and cozy rooms to come back to after exploring the town. We were so nervous about spending 24 hours in a town we had never been in before. But Toni’s hospitality and Danny’s great advice of places to go to made the time so much more enjoyable and relaxing. 10/10 cannot recommend enough :)

I’ve been staying at Larkinley Lodge at least one a year for the past 5 years and it is by far my favorite B&B in Ireland. The rooms are always immaculate. The location is great, just a few blocks and you are right in the heart of town with shops, restaurants & pubs. Toni will welcome you and make you feel like family. I look forward to my next visit!

Somehow my original review didn't get posted. It is my pleasure to write another. We stayed with Toni and Dani for three nights this past September. I can't imagine a more perfect stay. Toni welcomed us at the door and within ten minutes we felt as if we'd known her for years. She is a font of information on all things to do, see, and dine in Killarney. She even knew where we could drop off our laundry to have it done for us. Danny made excellent breakfasts. My husband is still talking about the crepes. We had a second floor room in the front of the house. Road noise was not an issue. We also had an on suite. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and immaculate.A nice surprise was the linens. Wonderfully soft and they had a lovely scent. On day three of our stay Toni and Danny's daughter Gillian drove us the ring of Kerry. Having her drive us was one of the best travel decisions ever. She arrived promptly in her comfortable Mercedes van. Throughout our 18 day driving trip in Ireland I was a pretty nervous passenger. Not while Gillian was driving. She was an excellent driver and tour guide. If my husband was driving he would not have been able to take in the wonderful scenery and we would not have learned all the history of the areas we were driving through.Gillian, just like her parents, is warm, friendly, and loaded with information. Our stay at Larkinley Lodge was absolute perfection.

My father-law, mother-in-law, wife and I spent a delightful time here when visiting the area. I can’t say enough about the incredible hospitality shown by Toni and Danny. We felt so at home. Plus, breakfast was fantastic (cooked to order), the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the lodge was quiet, Toni was a great concierge, advising on interesting things to do and beautiful places, how best to get around town (when we weren’t walking - the location is super convenient), and I can go on and on. Killarney is a wonderful place to visit and I can’t imagine a better place to start from than Larkinley Lodge.
