Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Boasting a location near Dublin Airport that travelers find exceptionally convenient, the Radisson Blu Hotel offers frequent shuttle services and is easily walkable from the terminals. While guests commend the friendly service and spotless rooms, some have called out delays with the shuttle and inconsistencies in room upkeep.
The hotel's amenities, including its food, receive praise, but the value is debated with some finding it pricey for what's offered. The modern atmosphere is generally appreciated, although there are remarks about occasional noise and areas that appear under-furnished.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed here because of the convenience to Dublin airport in order to catch an early morning flight. (It is an easy 15 minute walk from Terminal 2.) The front desk staff were helpful and courteous. The lobby, elevator, hallways, and room were all clean. We stayed in a “Standard Room” on the second floor overlooking the front of the hotel. The room was consistent with the photos on the website. However, the bed was uncomfortable (significantly dipped in the middle) and the pillows ‘have seen better days.’ One set of towels was distinctly shabby (‘rag’ comes to mind). The shower is difficult to navigate because one-half is blocked by the shower ‘door’ which offers zero protection from the shower water spilling onto the floor creating a slip hazard. Further, there are no wall handles to ensure safely navigating into and out of the tub/shower (especially for people with mobility issues). We did not use the restaurant, and had to leave before breakfast was available in the morning. The hotel was okay for one stay. The van/shuttle to the airport is reliable and the driver was courteous. Hopefully, the hotel management will see fit to replace the bed, pillows, and ensure that towels are not rags -- since none of these findings are consistent with other Radisson Hotels we use.

The courtesy bus from T1 and back again was a great experience.
The bus runs every 20 minutes or so after the hour.
The hotel is beautifully appointed and feels quite luxurious.
The Christmas decorations being quite tasteful.
Check in was seamless but unfortunately my room was quite cool as the blown air heating system was broken.
This was quickly rectified when they promptly delivered a portable heater for the room.
There was some external road and extraction fan noise evident through the glazing, but it was generally quiet overnight.
The bed was very comfortable with a good selection of pillows.
My fish and chips dinner in the bar was just ok, nothing particularly fancy and although the bar had only had a handful of people in it, the service could have a bit more attentive.
Breakfast is self service which is great if you just want to eat and go.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
On a recent trip around Ireland, I had planned to stay here one night at the tail end of my trip, but ended up extending my stay five more nights. Unfortunately, they could not extend my original price I had booked and ended up paying substantially more, probaboy due to availability of rooms and last minute booking. The staff at the front desk were exceptional. The breakfast buffet is very good, with a wide assortment of hot and cold offerings. The dinner menu is a bit limited, but has reasonable choices. At lunch, they only offered a buffet, so for those that may prefer a lighter lunch, you pay a premium. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, but during my stay, the cleaning staff never came by to replenish toiletries, or ask if I wanted clean towels. I had to take that upon myself. It is a great location to the airport, an easy walk if you don't want to utilize their free shuttle service.

Excellent Hotel at Dublin Airport!
We had an early flight from Dublin Airport the following day and decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay in the Radisson, the closest hotel to the airport terminals. Here are the main points.
Location:
Close to Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport. We arrived by bus at Terminal 2 and decided to walk to the hotel which was only about 5 minutes walk away. The hotel has a free shuttle bus, just call reception to arrange a pick up.
Reception:
They were not busy and we were quickly checked in and given our key cards by a friendly young man.
Room:
We had got a great deal on a high floor Junior Suite. The room was very spacious and modern with full length widows facing the airport. There was a leather sofa, Nespresso machine, bathrobes, complimentary water and a large tv. The bathroom was modern and had a great shower in it. It wasn't cheap but we enjoyed the luxury at the start of our holiday. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. My only comment was that they perhaps put more sofas or other furniture in it, the room felt a bit sparsely furnished for the size of it.
Restaurant:
We had a lovely meal in the ground floor restaurant with a very pleasant and friendly server, it was good value for money. Breakfast was included in our room rate and the selection of hot and cold food on offer was very good and of good quality.
Check Out:
Quick and easy. The shuttle took us over to Terminal 2 for our flight.
Conclusion:
A lovely hotel with nice rooms, good food and friendly staff. It is however very expensive, as are all hotels at our close to Dublin Airport. We enjoyed the experience and could not fault the hotel. Recommended.

We arrived in Dublin at 4am and had reserved a room at the Radisson Blu when we found out our 6am flight was cancelled and we now had a 10 hour layover. The hotel van arrived promptly and we checked in quickly. We had a room at the very end of the hallway which meant we didn’t hear other people coming and going. We slept until 10:30 which meant we arrived downstairs after breakfast finished and before lunch started. The manager of Collage was very kind and gave us coffee and croissants to tide us over for an hour. They let us stay in the room until 1pm which was very welcome. Highly recommended if you need a place right by Dublin Airport.

We chose to stay here on the last night of our 10-day hoilday in Ireland, to avoid any stress in getting to the airport for our morning flight back to the US. The room was quiet all night (no plane noise), and we had no delays at all getting on the airport shuttle to get to the airport within 15 min of checking out. The only reason for 4 stars in the room quality rather than 5 is that both nightstand lamps' bulbs were out or else we couldn't figure out how to turn them on, so the room was a bit dark at night. We were too tired to deal with it/call & wait for the maintenance people, and luckily the main light in the room wasn't too bright & we could switch it off from the switch next to the bed. Other than that, it was perfect!

Superior room at Dublin Airport was extremely comfortable, absolutely quiet, fully stocked with bathroom and tea making facilities. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous. Guinness was good. Courtesy transport to the terminals. Reception and restaurant staff very helpful. Everything we needed. Thank you.

It always amazes me on how a hotel where my wife and I have stayed at least 20 times (twice per year/10 years) cannot remember who we are nor care that we're return customers, even though I am a Radisson Premium Rewards cardmember. Out of the past 8 stays I have only been upgraded to a better room on one occasion, by the only employee at the front desk who remembers us, Meckela. There are only two reasons we stay there.....we can walk to the Dublin airport and the employees in the bar treat us very nicely and remember us. We want to compliment Ieva, the bar manager (probably not the correct title) and her employees Kaan, Paul and Rakib who are so friendly and kind to us. By the way, the vegan thin crust pizza is very good

The staff are friendly enough and the hotel is presented well, however upon arrival I was given a key to a room that had not yet been cleaned (dirty towels on the floor and bed not changed etc) the lovely lady on reception apologised and gave me a new room immensely and a voucher for a free drink. The room is well presented and clean but unfortunately whilst I was trying to work from my room very loud building works were going on close by which made for difficult concentration as well as difficulty hearing on my Teams calls - I did head down to reception and ask what time the works will end and was told it will be ongoing until later that day, I was offered another room but this was inconvenient as I’d started to unpack already. I was then offered a meeting room for my calls which was a compromise however it would have been nice to have been made aware of the disruption upon arrival or better still been allocated a room the other side of the hotel initially as the works were pre-planned (as offered when I asked when the works will be finished). Simple proactive things could have made this a far better experience.

Don’t expect any food from the ‘all night’ room service. I rang room service at about 4.20am for a ham sandwich and fries to be told the chef was too busy getting the breakfast ready for 6.30am. So I had to wait until 6.30am.

Sonya B asked a question Aug 2024
Washington DC, District of Columbia52 contributions45 helpful votesI would like to store my bag at the hotel for about 5 hours. I will be arriving from the US early morning, then going to London a few hours later for a play before coming back to Dublin that evening to start an Ireland holiday. Unfortunately, the left luggage in the airport appears to close at 21:00, and I don't land until 20:55.
Is it possible to pay for left luggage at the hotel?
If you are not planning on staying in the hotel then you should contact them directly to ask about storage. I would think it is unlikely if you are not staying in the hotel, but may well be worth checking.
I don’t think breakfast starts till about 06:30 maybe even 07:00.
You can ask for a breakfast bag, but it’s uninspiring.
The windows open but very narrow. You can't open them wide
Yes they have
At terminal 2, you can wait at the bus zone #8 with Radisson blue on the booth. The bus is supposed to run every 15 minutes. If you are there late night or early morning , you can call the hotel (phone # at the booth) to send the bus. In the morning is easier, the bus will leave the hotel every 15 min.
