We stayed for 2 weeks in our touring caravan in July/August 2024. It was our first trip to Ireland and I chose this campsite as we had two of our daughters with us (aged 20 and 17). I thought the combination of beachside location whilst only being a short drive to Dublin would mean there was something for everyone to do. The location couldn't have been more perfect!
My husband is a keen sea kayaker so he loved his paddles around Lambay Island which he could do directly from the campsite. When he wanted to paddle further afield and needed the car, he dropped myself and the girls at the train station in Donabate, a couple of miles away, and we hopped onto the train into Dublin (couldn't believe how cheap the train fare was!).
There was plenty to do in the area. We certainly didn't run out of things to do in the 2 weeks we were there, although we noticed that most people only stayed a few nights before moving on.
We had one of the pitches against the fence. The pitch was very deep with plenty of room for the caravan, awning, car, table & chairs & space to play if we had wanted. I wondered whether being on the edge of the site, backing onto the road would mean it was noisy, but the road doesn't lead anywhere apart from a beach car park so there was no road noise to disturb us. The views over to Lambay Island and towards Rush are beautiful.
There is no shop as such on the campsite but there's a small convenience store less than a mile away. Toilet/shower facilities are adequate. Having our own in the van meant we didn't use them that much but they were perfectly adequate and cleaned regularly.
My husband had spotted a poor review on here before we booked and wondered whether we should go elsewhere but I'm so glad we didn't. I would thoroughly recommend the site and would stay again if we ever come back to Ireland.

What a gem, you would not think that this is in Dublin! Had a fantastic stay here and was so impressed. It is situated beachside to Portrane and has lovely views. The site was so clean, in particular the bathroom facilities, could not have been cleaner and obviously cleaned regularly! Everyone else camping was so friendly and the site was not overcrowded. The weather wasn’t great when we arrived but it turned out lovely in the evening. Can’t wait to come back!

Stayed here for four nights in The Pod with my sister. We had a wonderful time in this clean family run park. Close to wonderful tourist hot spots. Lovely walks around the area and horse riding close by. Sea is so close you could smell the salt in the air. Family who run the park are very friendly obliging and made us feel so welcome, wanted for nothing. Other park users friendly and we would most definitely visit again. Lesley and Hilary (Kildare and Kilkenny)

We had a great stay here at Lynders at Hallowe’en. This is our second visit. There are amazing see views, with coastal & beach walks. On the campsite; the staff were very attentive & the amenities are very good. The campsite is easy to get to from the M1 & it is great to get the train into Dublin. Would highly recommend!

Just back from a beautiful stay at Lynders holiday park. We were super lukcy to win a 2 night stay in a glamping pod. Lisa and all the staff go above and beyond to make sure that everybody has a good time and feels at home. Facilities were absolutely spotless and everything u could need or want available. Kids loved the playground and having the beach right beside us. We are already thinking about packing up and returning with our caravan very soon. thank you so much to all at lynders x

2nd visit to this campsite. Absolutely love it. Site is clean, well maintained, dog friendly, child friendly & secure. Direct access onto partly rocky, partly sandy beach. Chipper & pub 10 minutes walk away (right out gate), or lots of eateries in Donabate. Lovely walk along top of beach towards Ladies beach & further on to Donabate beach. Sea sauna & coffee truck short walk (left out gate) access to nice beach for swimming.

Had a tyre blowout on the caravan on my way to Lynders today. Sheer panic ensued as I was on a really busy road and people were less than friendly as they overtook me, beeping and gesturing. In my panic, I rang Lynders and told them I was on my way there for the first time and didn't know what to do. A very kind man (the owner!) calmed me down and told me he was on his way. Within minutes, he was with me, pulled the caravan off the road (into the entrance of Newbridge House!), jacked up the caravan, took the tyre off and went and got me a new one. He came back, fitted it and got me back on the road. Its seldom we see this level of kindness, this man was everything my dad was...respectful, kind, caring and big hearted and wanted nothing in return, my heart is warmed by his lovely, gentle ways. An added bonus, Lynders of Portrane is a beautiful site, clean and with the most amazing views...the owner and his family are hands down, the nicest I've dealt with in my years of camping.

We are loving our stay at Lynders. It has panoramic sea views and is very well run. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the whole place is spotless. It is on the beach with walks in both directions along the sand. It's easy to find and getting the caravan in and out is so easy because of the layout. It's great for kids and they even have slushies!
