Have just returned from a lovely stay at Harvey’s Point. It’s a very special place for us having got engaged there 20 years ago and due to living abroad for a number of years have only managed to visit a few times since.
I must say it’s as wonderful as ever, even though it’s much bigger than when we’ve previously stayed, the ‘personal touch’ is still evident.
We were greeted by Noel Cunningham on arrival which was lovely and also a lovely lady chatted to us while we had the short wait to check in.
Our suite was very large and extremely comfortable and even though the hotel was at full capacity there was no noise.
A lovely young lady called Maeve greeted us in the restaurant and showed us to a window table and provided excellent service during our meal and was very friendly and extremely professional. Our meal was delicious! Especially the Chef’s special walnut tart.
The bar staff cleaned down a nice table for us and drinks were provided promptly even though it was busy. The highlight of our stay was the Gentleman who provided the entertainment in the bar Brian O’Sullivan, he had a brilliant voice and an excellent repertoire of songs (something to please everyone) and the guests in the bar really enjoyed his music.
At breakfast Maeve looked after us again taking time to check on us even though the restaurant was busy.
Social distancing and sanitising was observed by all making everyone feel ‘safe’ during these difficult times.
Can’t wait to return to beautiful Harvey’s Point very soon ..

From the second we arrived at the hotel the staff could not have been any more welcoming or accommodating. The hotel itself is in beautiful surroundings and the reception area is well signed for social distancing and has plenty of hand sanitizing stations.
The room was spotless, well sized, with a large and very comfortable bed, loads of wardrobe space and a very big bathroom and lovely background music playing on entry.
The first night we stayed we ate in the bar. I had the venison pie and my girlfriend had the burger. Both were delicious and the portions sizes were huge. The bar also has a great selection of drinks and cocktails and the serving staff were very attentive.
The breakfast on both morning was delicious, with an omelette station, fresh pancakes and full Irish options.
We went for a walk on the Lough Eske Loop and through the Ardrnamona Woods, which was beautiful and, at just over 5K, was the perfect way to dust off the cobwebs. While out for the walk I proposed to my girlfriend who thankfully said "yes". We were greeted again by the staff on our return, who gave us a lovely card and some chocolates. Before we left I think that practically every member of staff congratulated us and wished us well, which was very nice.
That night we had a beautiful four course meal in the Lakeside Restaurant, which did not disappoint in the slightest.
I could not have asked for a better location to have proposed. I know that I may have had some rose tint on my glasses, but I genuinely could not find fault with our stay. It would be very hard to pick one area that really excelled, but the staff really made the stay complete and I couldn't compliment them highly enough. We will certainly be back.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing couple of days at Harvey’s Point. On arriving we were greeted by very professional welcoming staff who treated us as if we were the only residents in the hotel. We received a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful suite.
Restaurant dinner was first rate. The next morning we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast looking out over Lake Eske and were amused to see a hare hopping around the garden,
Chef Colin gave a very informative cookery demonstration after which we all enjoyed the glorious seafood chowder he had made. At the wine tasting session, we indulged in some lovely wine while the sommelier gave us wonderful tips on choosing wine.
Many thanks to all who made our winter break first rate!

This was our second trip to Harvey’s in 3 years and it just keeps getting better.
From the time we arrived at reception to the moment we checked out, it was 5 stars all the way.
From the Headwaiter to Housekeeping all the staff are so professional in their attitude that it is a pleasure to behold.
Breakfast is amazing, the choice and quality is a delight to experience and the view over Lough Eske is very refreshing.
Dinner in the restaurant (were breakfast is served) is outstanding, the staff are so confident and professional it makes for a very enjoyable experience.
The wine list is very comprehensive and reasonably priced for such a smart restaurant, (check out the RENIDEO Pinot Grigio) It’s out of this world.
Harvey’s was a privately owned and run Hotel who in my opinion is a jewel in the crown of the hospitality industry in Ireland We were informed during our stay that it has been bought recently by a large Hotel chain, I hope they can still maintain the excellent and personal service that makes this a GREAT Hotel.
As Arnold Schwarzenegger said, “I’ll be back “

Dear Guest Thank you for the glowing review of Harvey's Point. We are still privately owned and we are managed by a wonderful Irish Hotel Company. They uphold the ethos of the new Owner and that is to keep enhancing the quality and standards of Harvey's Point. The Team, who all join me in sending their very best wishes, have all been here like myself for a number of years. They are as you refer to all professional and very good at what they do. My colleague Orhan will be chuffed that his choice of wines met with your approval. Please do come back again soon to Harvey's Point and my response to Arnold would be ... do not leave it too long ! Kindest regards Noel

We had the pleasure of staying for two nights midweek, our room was a lakeside suite which surpassed our expectations with its own sitting room and patio complete with outdoor seating. This would be wonderful in summer months and hope I return to enjoy a nice glass of wine on same in warmer months. We had booked to experience Phil Coulter in concert. The evening started with a wonderful 5 course dinner which was excellent value for money and the music and entertainment provided by Phil and his guests was an absolute delight. The venue was well planned out and seating in small groups and tables for two made the evening feel Covid safe alongside the hotel’s other mitigations of sanitizer on all tables and adherence to the regulations.
The bar is friendly and comfortable to enjoy your favourite tipple which we did maybe a little more than we should have. We had the bar menu the following evening as after the sumptuous breakfast and hearty lunch we never could have done the restaurant food justice. The bar food was delicious and plentiful. We then had an enjoyable evening in the bar with live music which was unexpected midweek treat and was great. Overall we had a fabulous stay and have already booked to come back. Big thank you to all the staff in the bar, reception and waiting- no request was too much and meet always with a smile and helpful manner.
Well done to all for making our stay so great.

Took advantage of an offer to try out this hotel as some friends have been saying the experience is wonderful. Must say, we have to agree. From the moment that the concierge opened our suite and explained what was where and how to get it, we were in a different world. Everything was spotlessly clean (just like the Lodge, where we had stayed before) and tastefully furnished, the sitting area overlooked the lake and gave access to a patio/deck which could be used in warm weather. The shower was just what my other half had hoped for – flexihose for her as well as a fixed head fitment for me. Our huge bed was one of the most comfortable we had ever slept in. Breakfast next morning was excellent, taken in the dining room with yet another view over the lake. The very wide choice on offer would satisfy the most demanding diner. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Stayed here in November 2019, girlfriend got me here for my birthday, I was amazed upon arrival how well we were welcomed into the hotel by the staff. We was greeted with warm welcome, we got shown to our room and shown around the room, he even explained to us how everything works in our room, this was explained very well to us and made our first impression of the place excellent. The building itself is outstanding very beautiful and their is more than enough parking on site for all occasions. Harvey point located next to lakes very beautiful it feels like a get away paradise going here. Our premium suite exceeded our expectations both in size, decor and facilities. Reasons for chosen of this suite was the two person hot tube, we loved using it so worth it just for that alone. The mini bar in the room is kept well stocked and we was delighted to see it been kept re stocked by staff during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant which was so tasty and delicious couldn't get enough, all staff were very welcoming there. The bar had very high standard of cocktails. The chef that does be on during breakfast very friendly and welcoming and food she makes is extremely tasty. To this day we keep talking about our wonderful stay here. Its a potential wedding venue for us for the future.

From the moment we got out of the car we started to get a sense that this hotel knew how to deliver a safe stay but with warm hospitality; something lost in other Irish hotels over the past few years.
All of the staff at Harvey's exuded a genuine friendliness and you really got sense that they were happy to see you. From check in, to the bar & restaurant, throughout the bedroom corridors and even passing staff in the carpark, they all made eye contact and said hi.
The level of training delivered by managers to staff seems very high; some staff only there a few weeks, while still under training had such confidence and were so relaxed with us that it made every interaction a joy.
Hand sanitisers, face visors and masks, very regular cleaning and plastic covered touch points were everywhere, but very quickly melted into the back ground and we for once on our 5 day trip up the Wild Atlantic Way, forgot there was a Pandemic.
Well done Harveys and a special mention to Noel, Shane, Roberta in reception, Pairic and Kathlyn in the bar and I am really sorry but we didn't get the name of the Guest Relations Manager, the wonderful servers for breakfast, dinner and not forgetting the great food cooked by the kitchen team and the very well appointed bedrooms, serviced so well by the accommodation team. We will be back

Harvey’s Point hotel is set in the beautiful surroundings of Lough Eske. We went for 2 nights taking advantage of their Winter package offer which includes 2 nights bed and breakfast and a four course meal on one of the nights. The hotel itself is fabulous with out of this world rooms and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The bar and the restaurant overlook the lake so you have something beautiful to look at while eating deliciously cooked food. We had dinner in the restaurant and the 4 course meal with the amuse bouche and sorbet in between courses was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast choice was very good and well presented and you also had the option of getting the chef to cook a number of additional items that weren’t available as standard. The bedrooms, deluxe, executive, premium or suites are unbelievably large with separate hallways leading into the main living/ sleeping area. The bathrooms, some with double jacuzzi baths plus a large standalone shower are the size of a normal hotel bedroom! You won’t be disappointed when you visit this hotel. There are also little quiet areas dotted around the hotel where you can go for a quiet read or just to get away from the hustle and bustle and there’s a quirky little shop that sells pretty and unusual gifts that opens a few hours each day. A trip to the bar at night just rounds off your day for either a drink or a meal from the varied bar menu when the restaurant isn’t open. All this plus plentiful walks around the lake and surrounding area makes a visit to this hotel an absolute must!

My husband and i enjoyed a fantastic stay in Harverys Point on the opening weekend 6th December just after the 2nd lockdown. Without a doubt we were very impressed with all the new precautions in relation to covid. It felt all very safe with social distancing signage, hand sanatising stations, mask wearing, and cleanliness. It was remarkable the number of staff available especially in the restuarant and the attention to detail and service they provided while maintaining a exceptionally high level of safety measures/precautions and continued professionalism. We enjoyed a lovely 1 night stay as part of the fantastic sunday sleepover offer. Our room was immaculatey clean and well presented. All staff were very friendly and courteous making us feel very welcome . We also enjoyed absolutely fantastic massage treatments from shauna upstairs on the 4th floor in the treatment rooms. Again this experience also was very well managed, safe and adhered to the strictest cleanliness procedures. We definitely will come back soon. Thank you.

Hi Kathryn. There are no spa facilities at Harvey's Point, Lough Eske Castle does have a spa and depending on their availability you may be able to book a treatment with them, this would be booked directly with Lough Eske Castle.
