Well, first there was no WiFi as stated, check in was across 4 lanes of busy traffic, then 4 lanes to get back. The room booked was a double but what we found was two single beds pushed together, was uncomfortable to sleep on and kept rolling into the centre. The blinds had questionable stains on them, as did the walls, the shower was broken and I could've gotten wetter if someone stood and spat at me. The shower gel box was also broke. There was greasy hand stains on the head board. We were right above what felt like hell as the temperature of the room was somewhere between 15 degrees and Satan. No food/drink available. No staff anywhere. Definitely not worth the £100 spent for two nights.

We came along as it was my Daughters 7th Birthday. Staff couldn't be more attentive and the food was 1st class for very reasonable price. I recommend the steak pie! My Son has asked to come back for his own Birthday when given the choice of anywhere to go to. Phone ahead to ask about kitchen opening times but at a fraction of what other local venues are charging you will get the best quality food from new chef who has come from Maggie Mays in Glasgow. Not to be missed!

Yes, I wanted to be quite near the races and the railway station and the Bay Horse met my criteria. However, where I didn't dig deep enough is that Friday night is karaoke night! On the positive, my reception was quick and functional, the room was small, but generally fine bar an intermittent television reception. But the music blasts away until one - and I mean blasts, it was impossible to even consider sleep until it finished. So, if you like your late night music get yourself along, if you want a bit of decent kip on a Friday, don't.

Went in at 1pm on a Sunday... Not a soul in the place but thought I’d hang about and we would have a drink anyway.. Sat at the bar for five minutes while the bartender was standing outside smoking. We left. Won’t be back.

Went here to watch football the other evening, wasn't particularly busy. 2 bar staff on one on phone and one serving. Got my Guiness, would say, pint, but wasn't a pint. The obligatory inch of head..... Settled in to watch game, ordered another, eventually got served 2 bar staff , quiet pub.....Again, pint....was short of the mark.... Second half started and i went to take a drink of my ... pint... which had about 1/4 left in it....GONE..... Bar was filling up but by no means busy.... 2 Bar staff ..... one on phone, the other looked like had just come out the gym, chatting to her pals. So not only do you get short changed, and ignored you dont even get to finish off the drink you had paid for. That and the soccer casuals vaping, " green" best avoided
