Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic afternoon tea. What a find! We've lived in Ayrshire for over 15 years and had never eaten here before. Based on our experience, this will now be a regular venue. Lovely staff, excellent food, amazing value for money. Great to see that it's dog friendly, so we'll bring the pooch next time. Looking forward to it!

Best afternoon tea I've had in years. Really good quality and excellent value. Friendly staff and a relaxing Scottish baronial vibe in the restaurant. Dog friendly in the lounge. A bit of a find. Plenty of other eating places in Ayr but I'd say this is well worth a visit.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is lovely our room was massive. The hotel is maybe a wee bit tired interior but it adds to the atmosphere. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much for them to ensure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was great too with a choice. We will definitely be back and thank them for making our stay lovely.

Just returned from a three night break. The whole experience was excellent from arrival to departure. Our room (5) overlooked the impressive private garden at the rear of the hotel. It was extremely comfortable, quiet and well appointed. Our Westie (Rosie) was allowed in the bar area where we enjoyed all of our meals. Highly recommend the Chicken Balmoral and the Steak. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you to you all and best wishes for the future.

Lovely location, hotel is beautiful outside and traditionally Scottish inside with tartan carpets and solid wooden furnishings. We were arriving later than expected for dinner and the staff were kind enough to keep the kitchen open a little later for us. Sarah, Kai and Jordan were really friendly and engaging. Loved food like me and helped me decide on what I was having for dinner. The food was delicious and the portion was larger than for such a nice place. Id definitely recommend this for an evening out or short stay. Exceptional from open to close.

Had an amazing time at the Savoy Park Hotel, Ayr. Arrived late due to work and dinner was meant to finish at 8pm, contacted hotel and spoke to Sarah who was understanding and very nice to speak to. Arrived and had an absolutely amazing dinner. (Portion sizes are very generous) I couldnt manage a desert. Staff members Sarah, Jordan and Kai) were absolutely amazing and very polite. Food was 100% excellent and a good selection of drinks available aswell. Bedroom is a very good spacious size and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

First and foremost, the staff!!! Sarah, Abbey and Jordon were so friendly and super helpful, I could not fault them at all! The food was outstanding as was the atmosphere 😁 Mega comfy bed and pillows too so I slept like a baby. Also super quiet at night, no traffic noise. Only moan, the bedroom we had could maybe do with a tiny bit of TLC

Excellent value for money. We had the Sunday deal - dinner bead and breakfast. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast (avocados and scrambled egg on sourdough), the room was comfortable with everything you needed. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel full of character. Attentive, welcoming, super friendly staff and management. Very dog friendly- our wee dog was spoilt rotten! The new owner is aware of the areas in the hotel which require upgrading and we wish her every success in her new venture. Would thoroughly recommend.
