The Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport is a hit for its comfortable rooms and prime location near the airport, a feature underlined by numerous travelers. While the rooms are seen as functional for brief layovers, with a nod to the overall cleanliness, some guests feel updates could improve them. The hotel's amenities and breakfast offerings receive mixed reviews, with some finding them basic.
Guests have praised the staff's friendly and efficient service, although the occasional long check-in queue has been noted. Despite some remarks on the higher cost of additional services, many consider the hotel to offer reasonable value.

This is the second time we have stayed here before flights the next morning.
It is perfectly located with an easy walk to the terminal, the rooms are clean.
They are also on the small side but perfect for a one night night stay as a couple, there is a comfy bed, tv, couch etc.
Breakfast is provided but never got to that, they've also got a handy vending machine of charging cables etc which came in handy when I realised I'd forgotten one.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the terminal (just go ahead through the pick up/drop off area of the car park and it's right ahead). The staff are friendly and are there all night.
The room was a good size, clean and well kept with tea and coffee, large TV, free wifi and a good bathroom and shower. I thought the price was reasonable given the location. The breakfast starts very early (4am for continental and 6am for cooked breakfast) which is good. Choice was reasonable but a bit disappointing there are no fried eggs, only scrambled egg and only one rasher of bacon left.
However the negatives are that the room was cold. The only heating in the room seems to be a wall mounted air conditioning unit and when switched on it is pretty loud and gives out very little heat. Really need better heating in winter (this is quite a common comment in reviews, so it's clearly not just me).
The other issue was the restaurant. You can't order from your table instead there is a "food order" point at the end of the reception desk but when I went there I was told to order at the bar instead, where there was a long wait only for another member of staff to come to the food order point and tell us to order food there instead, so I ended up at the back of the queue again. The restaurant wasn't very good there were children running around all over the place, but also even doing hand-stands and cart wheels between others table and keep sitting on un-occupied tables next to others and playing music and games out loud on tablet computers. The staff did nothing about this. I was going to have a desert but gave up with that, it wasn't a pleasant place to be and unfortunately there isn't anywhere else to eat in walking distance (I had already returned hire car) other than land-side at the airport which is only a coffee shop.

The Holiday Inn Express is a very short walk from the terminal, and the number 500 Airport Express bus, which only takes about 15 minutes to get to the city.
Adequate space. Kettle, tea, coffee, milk and sugar supplied. Bright bathroom with shower cubicle; the Dove liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo make a nice change from cheaper options typically found in budget hotels. Iron and ironing board. Decent hair dryer. Third floor rooms overlook the airport/aircraft. Pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, bread and rolls available from 04:00, with hot food added from 06:00, all included in the price.

This place is literally steps away from the departures terminal, and mostly covered, so we didn't even have to mess with shuttles. Check-in was quick and easy, good free breakfast that started early, very comfortable beds and quiet room with tea/coffee making facilities including small packets of real milk. Good TV. Bathroom a bit cramped, but it was just for one night.

I Terrible evening restaurant very little on the menu available and food quality is abysmal with some inedible. Staff bring starter and main at the same time so main cold by time starter is finished.
Used to be an excellent restaurant over 5 years ago then quality went down. We suspect Franchise Holder is cutting costs and IHG doesn’t care.
Disappointing as hotel is ideally located for early morning flights and late returns. Rooms are excellent and well maintained. Quick breakfast is basic however good in contrast to the evening menu.
The evening food has been bad for years getting worse every visit to the point that we will have find a better hotel for food after over 15 years. IHG and the Franchises Holder should be ashamed of the evening food service.

The rooms are very small but get the job done. The bathrooms are definitely tiny but the shower was hot and had great water pressure. Very quiet hotel with unbeatable ease of access to the airport. The very early breakfast is a bit sad (toast and coffee is about it) but I’ve stayed here twice so it can’t be that bad!

Excellent location, let down slightly by rooms bathroom.
Family of 3 in Family suite which was a fab sized space, restaurant was pub grub style food not overly expensive for location.
Unfortunately bathroom was grubby with mouldy tiles and general grub.

Our family have stayed at this hotel around 5 times - always the night before we fly out for a holiday. It is so close to the terminal building, means staying here before an early flight makes it all so much easier. Despite the close proximity to the airport, we have never noticed any noise from the planes. Our last stay was in July and, like every other stay it was wonderful from start to finish. From check in to check out, every member of staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. All the rooms we have stayed in have been clean, tidy and comfortable with plenty of sockets and usb slots for charging the devices. We have eaten in the restaurant each time and the food is always fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to return for our our next holiday! Enjoy…

Visited as a one night stop whilst connecting flights. All very good from check in to check out. Room was comfortable enough, perhaps a little in need of a freshen up. Breakfast was simple but of good quality. For £75 for a double room with breakfast and less than a five minute covered walk to the terminal building, you can’t go far wrong. We will use the same place next visit.
