A family run business which shows in the helpful way they try to look after visitors. I visited for the Etape cycling event in May; the location was perfect and the hotel offered an early breakfast and also a shower after the event. As the town was busy, I chose to have dinner in the hotel the night before and the choice and quality of food was excellent. I had a twin room in the Annexe which was a good size and very clean. I would definitely recommend the Dundarach.
The location is perfect - hidden away in quiet private surroundings overlooking a large garden and views beyond. The hotel offers plenty free parking space and is only a 3 or 4 minute walk to the centre of the town which has retained its identity and offers a wide and interesting range of individual shops and a good choice of restaurants.

We visited the Dundarach Hotel, Pitlochry from 28th to 30th June,2021. From the moment we walked into this hotel we were made to feel really welcome our room was bright and with plenty of space the staff are very friendly the hotel is spotless the breakfast both days was excellent with everything you could ask for also had an evening meal for my birthday we ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection. The hotel is in a quiet location but within an easy 5 minute walking distance into town. We booked for two nights but could easily have stayed longer and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel has the charm of large mansions with its large hall and a large staircase. The atmosphere is cozy.
The very large bedroom and bathroom with four-poster bed, antique furniture, armchairs, decoration...have a very pleasant old manor feel.
The welcome is very friendly, the service in the restaurant perfect. The breakfast was delicious and very varied.
We really enjoyed our one night stay in this hotel, quiet but yet a stone's throw from the center of Pitlochry.

I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful week in this charming hotel. The staff is (without exception) extremely helpful and attentive and the owner family does everything to make you feel welcome. I also loved the enchanting view from the dining room.
Highly recommend!

Having stayed at this hotel on previous visits to Pitlochry we knew it would be a safe place to stay during the Covid situation. Everything in the hotel was immaculate and we felt very reassured by all the measures put in place by the hotel. Breakfast was pre ordered the night before and a time slot given. My only criticism here was that the toast was waiting at the table when you arrived and I would have preferred hot taast along with my breakfast. Dundarach is a friendly family run hotel and we will definitely be back.

Stayed overnight with friends to see the Enchanted forest. No complaints about the rooms, restaurant food and staff which were all excellent. Had one incident which upset a brilliant weekend when we agreed with reception to leave our friend's car in the car park after checking out while we got some shopping and would pick it up later. No problem we though as they agreed, When we went to pick up the car I used the reception toilet and one of our friends went to look for another toilet. Whilst waiting in the reception area for them I was approached by an elderly man who had been sitting watching TV in a nearby room who immediately demanded, in harsh tone, if I was a hotel resident. I explained we had stayed last night and we just returned to pick up a car. I was then grilled as what room I had stayed in and what was my name. He had also noted I had used the toilet. Our friend returned at this point and feeling somewhat threatened by this man's manner we left. I have no idea if it was a guest or staff. A polite "can I help uou Sir" to start a conversation may have helped. We were looking to return next year but this may make us reconsider.

We have just spent a few days at this hotel to get away from it all and can’t praise it highly enough. It has clear COVID 19 safety measures in place which is reassuring; our temperatures were taken on arrival, there is hand sanitiser readily available, rooms are fogged between guests etc.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting with amazing views and not far from the town centre. It is family run and everyone there is very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast delicious.

This break has been just what we needed, thank you.

Myself and several friends stayed at this beauty of a hotel whilst we played golf at Pitlochry Golf Club.

The hotel is brilliantly priced, clean, servers a cracking breakfast and the staff are friendly (and understanding!).

The hotels location is ideal as it’s a 10 min walk from the main high street and it has the most incredible views from the dining area

I’d have no hesitation in rebooking this hotel again.

Good location in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Stayed in a four-poster room which was a good size with a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a bath but no shower (only a hand-held attachment at the bath taps). I was happy with this but Mrs Scotty missed having a good shower. The breakfast was our only gripe, but it was really disappointing. You have to place your order the day before which neither of us like doing. The menu said "Full Scottish Breakfast". There was no lorne sausage, no black pudding and no potato scone. What was Scottish about it! In fact there were no potato products at all. Mrs Scotty had ordered a poached egg, but unfortunately it was more like hard-boiled. If breakfast had been good I would have given 5 stars but I had to reduce it by at least one after our dining room experience.
