Firstly I just want to say this hotel doesn’t get enough recognition. We stayed here for a few nights for my husband’s 50th birthday and we had taken our dog with us. The service was amazing Richard and Karen made us both feel welcome right from the start of our wee break. The hotel room we had was clean all the facilities we needed hot shower, little toiletries in the bathroom which is great if you haven’t already brought your own there was a kettle tea and coffee which was topped up along with hairdryer etc which was great as I forgot mine. The bed we had was massive and we had a great nights sleep. The hotel is very cozy the bar area has a cozy warm fire lovely decor and we could take the dog in with us which was great we also met some other couples who also rated the hotel for it’s hospitality and service. The hotel is very close to the little town you can walk in no problem with great little keepsake shops, outdoor shops, restaurants , bars etc. we also did the Pitlochry dam walk which was gorgeous and there was other walks to do as well if you wish, the views from the dam were breathtaking. The Old Mill Inn was great for food we also went to the fish and chip shop for food another night which was great the home made steak pie and chips was to die for. Breakfast at the Acarsaid hotel was absolutely fantastic we had the full Scottish breakfast with coffee toast and there was a variety of juices and continental breakfast it was actually one of the best breakfast we have ever had. We just want to say Karen,Richard thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and we will definitely be booking in the future to return back.

Just returned from 3 nights at this privately owned hotel in Pitlochry.
From arrival , we were made most welcome by all the staff, and nothing was too much trouble.
We had a superior room in the original building which was large and comfortable with excellent coffee making facilities , biscuits and water which were all renewed during our stay. The bathroom was large with a bath and walk in shower and supplied toiletries. Gowns and slippers were also available.
Downstairs, there were four comfortable seating areas, 2 of which were glass conservatories, and a well stocked bar.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and everything cooked to order.
The management of this hotel is doing a wonderful job and we'll be back.

Scottish hospitality at its best. Fantastic service, comfy beds and very quiet. I'm a very light sleeper but had a great nights sleep.

We arrived early but the Acarsaid team let us access the room to freshen up before going to a wedding which was really appreciated.

Highly recommend this gem.

After staying previously at this hotel, I wanted to come back. This time round our experience was shocking and very disappointing. Checked in at 3pm to be told someone had already been checked into our room, the receptionist then asked the guests to pack up so this could be fixed. I asked the receptionist if our room would need cleaned or sanitised as the hotel still has all of the Covid signs up throughout the hotel. The receptionist checked the room and said it was fine for us to head along. Once getting into the room we noticed the bed my 8 yr old daughter would be sleeping in had hair on the pillow case and the bed has been laid on. The soap in the bathroom had been used, urine on the toilet seat also, after going back to reception who told us the room was fine. We got told the hotel was fully booked so couldn’t be moved, our bathroom got cleaned and the spare bed got changed. We sat in the bar area whilst this was done. Evenly we got back to our room only to find water coming through the light in the bathroom and blood over the 2 beds which were close together, we had friends staying in the room next to us also had this issue with blood on the bed sheets. This was now after 5pm and which I had to head back to reception were I met a lady called Diane. After sharing my issues with Diane she checked the water coming through the light with the room above us who clearly had a shower with the door open, I explained to Diane that I was very unhappy with the service I was given and my experience was very stressful and not relaxing as we had hoped. I was then told the hotel was fully booked and if I wanted my money back I could go and find somewhere else to stay, now that was a terrible response to a paying guest. We had drove over 3 hours to get to visit the enchanted forest that weekend, everywhere was fully booked. Terrible service. All beds were changed whilst we headed out. We slept very well. Breakfast was an experience also, I think all the workers knew we were the room that were complaining and issues, Diane seated guests to the table asking there stay was and making good conversation and explained about the buffet and the hot plates etc. when it came to us being seated, no room number was asked and we were pointed to our table and not told anything about breakfast, good job we heard the previous conversation. I’ve never felt to unwelcome. It came to check out and no one was anywhere to be seen, we left our room key at reception and left feeling so let down. I wouldn’t be recommending this hotel to anyone in the future.

I think Diane probably did the right thing offering you a full refund as your aggressive attitude made her feel very uncomfortable.

Very friendly welcome. Super view over the Perthshire hills. Rooms very hot windows don't open though in room we had. A few minor paint touch ups needed but overall very good quality. Breakfast is beautiful with very hot food and served quickly and efficiently. With Covid, there are plenty of handsanitisers around the building and in rooms, keys are in bags for you and extra bins in hallways for rubbish due to Limited room cleans as expected. Cosy bar with gorgeous log fire.

We've stayed at the Acarsaid a few times over the years, however, it is some time since our previous visit, so we were wondering if it would still be as great.
We needn't have worried as on our arrival there she was waiting for us, Karen, with the same smiling welcome as always and to put the cherry on the cake, she remembered us
This woman really cannot do enough for her guests and is so attentive to everyone's needs.
Her son Taylor has now joined her at the hotel, and he is every bit as friendly as his mother
Karen, I have to say his poached eggs are challenging yours for the best we've tasted

The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the rooms are light and airy, with really comfy beds.
Breakfast is scrumptious, with lovely choices all of which come perfectly cooked and presented
Thank you Karen and Taylor for another wonderful stay at the Acarsaid

What an incredible place - clean, tidy and providing all that you need and more!

Big Kaz as Karen likes to be called is the greatest pillar of this place. We’ve travelled to Pitlochry for a family weekend away to celebrate Mum’s birthday and we haven’t been disappointed.

Big Kaz and the team haven’t only made our stay enjoyable but looked after our group exceptionally. One of our party is gluten free, so she got gluten free sausages and in-room biscuits for him. We also struggled to find somewhere to dine out so she offered to host us in house if we wanted to order in and even prepared cutlery, napkins and condiments.

We’ve received an outstanding service from arrival to departure which made our stay for this special occasion even more enjoyable.

Thank you!

The Acarsaid hotel is well run with friendly, professional staff. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice and served on hot plates which does make a difference. The room was warm, and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely return.

Me and 2 friends stayed here for a small adventure holiday. The staff were so welcoming and happy to help especially during the current pandemic. Each day we were up early for activities we had planned and the breakfasts were perfect for what we needed to start out day and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable after climbing munros and doing water sports. Ii would most certainly stay here again.

Room was very comfortable, I like the modern Scottish look. The little extras like tea/coffee making facilities are good but the Tassimo machine was an unexpected bonus. Also the box of Scottish chocolates was a lovely touch.
Breakfast were very good with a wide choice of help yourself continental and a selection of cooked breakfasts freshly made to order.
