We stayed here for a short break in Scotland with family. They have clearly spent a fortune refurbishing this hotel and done a very good job. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and they have thought of everything including shampoos and shower gels without sulphates (a first for me) and wow what a difference!!. The food is superb and all the staff are excellent with a great attention to detail. Really this is nothing not to like here. Lovely

We stayed at the Pine Trees for our 54th wedding aniversary and over the years have stayed at numerous hotels in the UK, Europe and the States. Pine Trees is by far the best we have ever experienced. The quality of the rooms, decor and fittings is second to none but so discrete. All of the staff were wonderful including the handyman who personally showed us round newly decorated rooms in an annex. There are sideboards on each landing where fresh, complementary cakes, biscuits, fruit and drinks are laid out, rooms have filter coffee and a large selection of teas and only FRESH milk. There is a wet room near the entrance where outdoor boots and clothing is stored for use by the guests and even dry towels. There are plenty of car parking spaces with nice, wide bays and paths around the wooded gardens for strolls after dinner. At night it was pitch black and totally silent. It is a real gem.

Don’t hesitate to book the Pines Hotel when planning a trip to Pitlochry. From the moment we arrived this hotel felt just right. The refurbishment has created something very special, a relaxing ambience, beautiful decor throughout, the comfiest super king beds anywhere, and high quality in-room tea and coffee. The entire staff team are friendly, guest focused and welcoming. We dined in the restaurant and were very impressed, a lovely dining experience from starter through to an end of meal liqueur.
We had our dog staying, the dog friendly approach from doggie hamper, and wipe down towels were the best we have seen in any hotel.

We were keen to visit Pine Trees after the refurb. We booked a Comfy room and were delighted to discover we’d been upgraded to a Comfy Luxe room. It was lovely, very cozily decorated with lots of storage. The handwritten welcome note and luxury chocolates were a nice touch. The bathroom was gorgeous and huge with really lovely quality fittings and equally lovely toiletries. Food was delicious and beautifully presented, we had breakfast both days and dinner on one night. Drinks were reasonably priced and we had a few in front of the numerous log burners. I almost wanted it to rain so that I could borrow wellies and waterproofs from the boot room. I need to also mention the inviting lounge area on the first floor landing which offered a complimentary selection of savoury and sweet treats. The final surprise was when we were handed a bag of sweets for our journey home. They really have thought of everything.

We are just back from a two night stay with our dog. It's the first time we have taken our dog to a hotel and I have to say it was excellent, the hotel is very dog friendly as are the staff. We stayed in a comfy room and it was exactly that. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The food was great, breakfast was table service (which we prefer) with ample choice and the evening menu was very good and reasonably priced. You have to try the cocktails in front of the big wood burner in the entrance room, where the furnishings and decor are exquisite. The dog crashed in front of that warm fire as did we! The first balcony has been well thought out, with lovely furnishings and extras like, bags of crisps and nuts, fruit, water, mini brownies, tablet and lovely nut nibbles, all for guests to enjoy free of charge. It is a lovely place to sit with a coffee and relax or to pick up a wee treat and take it to your room to enjoy. The staff are all amazing and nothing is too much bother for them and everyone was very friendly. It was nice to have our bags taken up to our room and the complementary drink on arrive is also a very nice touch. If you want a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings, then this is the place to go. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Pine Trees Hotel for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked through the doors the extra thought they have put into the details were evident; from the dog bowls and treats for four legged friends to rain coats and Hunter wellies for the humans to borrow. Having had a recent revamp, the interior design is contemporary chique in deep warm colours without taking the attention away from the original Victorian features. It felt more like stepping into someone’s home than a boutique hotel. David at the reception - discretely placed by the main stair case the foyer - was very helpful - and even showed us the potential upgrade we could have in person. We didn’t go for the balcony room (25) as it was much smaller than our originally booked room; Snowdrop (Room 2) - which we absolutely loved! Cases were taken to our room by the lovely Paul, and the radio was playing Meatloaf as we walked through the doors to a personalised letter from David. I appreciated the small details such as good quality coffee and teas and high quality bath products. In the hall just outside the room they had placed complimentary cakes and macarons alongside a milk fridge. There were complimentary welcome drinks waiting at Flora Bar and we enjoyed them whilst playing a game of chess. Dinner at Fauna was lovely; we had the Chateau Briand as our main. Only downside was that food came before our drinks and no water was offered. We did notice that we were served French Fries rather than the thick cut chips in the SoMe-marketing, however, the rest of the food was excellent. Scallop-starter was beautiful. Waiters were very friendly and personable.
Our room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet with a super comfy king sized bed.
We loved the a la carte breakfast which was delicious. I always appreciate a sit down to order breakfast rather than a buffet.
We had the perfect trip and we would love to come back. Next time we may go for the biggest suite; room 4!

The Pine tree hotel is a miraculous visit. The room was catered to perfectly, it is comfortable and chic, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were amazing. Anything you need is there and anything that isn’t, the staff are very friendly, and helpful. The food was immaculate, perfect sized potions and full of flavour, breakfast in Paticular was my favourite (get the blueberry compote and pancakes.) The service was beautiful, again staff are helpful and lovely was very welcoming. The architecture of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. A magnificent mix between modern, class and keeping its history. The grounds and walks around the area surrounding are absolutely stunning ontop of this. It’s a perfect stay. And last but not least, the bathrobes. They are absolutely exquisite. The best part of my stay I’d say. Blew it out the park. 10/10 guys absolutely amazing place happily come again 😊

We were looking for a dog friendly hotel for a one night stay whilst travelling to our holiday accommodation. It was a chance booking after a quick search of accommodation in Pitlochry and we weren’t sure what to expect. However from the moment we arrived we had a wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the added touches around the hotel meant we had a truly lovely stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was very good. This is one of the best dog friendly hotels we’ve stayed in with the dogs being treated with the same level of care and attention as the humans! We are now planning another trip to spend a few days at the Pinetrees.

In November the hotel opened after a substantial make over and we stayed on its opening night. A warm and helpful welcome (both for us and our small dog) was followed by an escort to our very comfortable room. Having just reopened everything was sparkling and fresh. We had the 'mid spec' room which was very spacious and featured a superkingsize bed. The selection of dog treats and a comfy dog bed was appreciated by our little pooch.. The hotel sits in gorgeous grounds, although visiting in November we were not seeing it at its best. Nevertheless there are pleasant walks nearby if you stroll up past the nearby Pitlochry golf course. Dinner and breakfast lived up to expectations.

Exceptional customer service from the first moment we arrived to our departure . The staff are friendly welcoming and knowledgeable about their hotel and the surrounding area . The refurbished hotel is beautiful set in a quiet location but within walking distance to Pitlochry . For us the quality of the food was amazing and products being supplied and sourced locally in Scotland when possible was great to know they support local businesses. We look forward to our next visit.
