Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

The Westlands of Pitlochry hotel is celebrated for its stylish and pristine rooms, where modern decor meets comfort, although a few guests find the public spaces less inviting. Its prime location is a hit among reviewers for its proximity to the town center and the convenience of ample parking, including EV charging stations.
The array of amenities, especially the extensive breakfast buffet, adds to the hotel's great value. Service at the hotel is another highlight, with staff earning accolades for their friendliness and attentiveness.

Detailed Reviews
My friend and I planned a short trip with our kids and we booked the apartment for one night.
The facility has a large car parking and it's in a very convenient location.
The apartment is located at ground floor, has two large bedrooms with two ensuites, a very comfortable living room with huge windows and it was absolutely spotless (rarely I've seen such clean bedrooms and bathrooms).
I want to thank the owner for being very understanding and polite despite our 4 kids were hard to manage sometimes, and for the warm milk for my baby.
If we will have the chance we will definitely book again

Hotel's Favourite
We had 2 rooms. Both were modern, specious and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and good with great service. Location is also great, at the beginning of the main street. Above all that, stands the warm welcome and homey feeling that you get. The staff really cares. We highly recommend staying there and we will definitely stay there again given the opportunity

My husband and i stayed at Westlands for two nights for our visit to Pitlochry for the Enchanted Forest event. We chose the guest house (it's not a hotel) due to its convenient location (literally a two minute walk to the centre of town which is on the same road), but very quiet. It also got very good reviews. There is ample off street parking with a number of EV charging points. Our room was at the back of the property and had a king size bed which was firm but comfortable. The room wasn't big but had a couple of tub chairs and small table by the window, as well as a wardrobe and dressing table with tea making facilities and a large wall mounted tv. The bathroom looks recently renovated with fresh clean tiles and a large enclosed shower (no bath) with shampoo & body wash dispensers. Breakfast was a self serve buffet with standard fayre - a selection of cereals, a few yoghurts, juices and only one type of bread for the toaster machine. There is also a hot selection of eggs (fried & scrambled), bacon, sausages, beans, black pudding. These were all of an adequate quality. Our stay was perfectly comfortable and very convenient and the staff were all friendly.

Certainly exceeded my expectations.
The quality and standard of the room fittings is excellent - care and attention has been paid throughout. Even tiny details impressed me: not only does every electrical outlet in the room (and they are plentiful) have USB charging sockets, each one has both a Type A *and* a Type C USB socket. Don't think I've ever seen that before, anywhere.
Car parking is generous and there are many charging points for EVs. These are all low power which is entirely appropriate for 'destination charging' like this overnight.
Staff are very friendly, prompt and attentive.
If/when I return to Pitlochry, Westlands will certainly be top of my list.

This hotel is a couple of minutes from the main shopping area which includes some lovely shops and restaurants. Possibly a 10 or 15 minutes walk from The Festival Theatre. The hotel itself is very peaceful with parking facilities and charging for electric vehicles. Our room was large, modern and spotless.
Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold items. The staff were all very attentive and mannerly. An excellent place to stay.

Really can’t recommend this Hotel more, very warm and welcoming with newly refurbished rooms which were warm comfortable and beautifully decorated.
The breakfast was to die for with a great choice of cooked, cereals, breads fruit and continental options that were topped up on a regular basis. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and professional. They were always close to hand to answer whatever query we had.
The location couldn’t have been more perfect, a few minutes walk into the heart of Pitlochry and all its shops, food and visitor attractions. Free parking is always a bonus when within walking distance.
I would absolutely stay here again and can’t sing its praises enough. Well done to the team for making the weekend a very memorable one.

The bedroom was well-equipped and very comfortable. The towels were high-quality, as was the bedding. The wall-mounted shower toiletries were good. The breakfast was really excellent, with a very impressive range of choices. The location is really good, being on the main thoroughfare through Pitlochry. Ample free parking.
The WiFi, although free, was poor and did not, for example, allow 'streaming'. Connection to other apps, etc. was really slow. I hadn't appreciated that this was not truly an hotel but very much a B&B. This is not a criticism, simply an observation. One tends to think of B&Bs as being small, family-run, enterprises with just one or two rooms. This is a significant commercial operation. It would have been nice to have been told in advance that there was no lift - I had been allocated a room on the top floor and carrying luggage up there was not something I welcomed. This is not an ideal location for persons with disabilities or handicaps. I did not appreciate, in advance, that the 'public areas' would be so limited - but then it was not clear (at least to me) that this was a B&B.

We booked to stay here as we were going to a show at the Pitlochry Theatre and thought we’d enjoy an evening and overnight stay too.
The hotel is very clean, and our room had just been fully renovated. Very well appointed, with very comfortable bed, and a lovely fresh shower-room. We slept well and enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning from the well-stocked buffet which was filled with good quality produce. The member of staff on reception was very welcoming, and all staff on breakfast service were very attentive, ensuring that good stocks were maintained, and tables cleared promptly.
Would recommend, and we shall definitely return.

This hotel is a pleasure to stay in. Warm, welcoming, prompt attention. a real desire to please. Deep tartan tasteful carpets lead upstirs to comfortable warm bedrooms, with large TV screens, and a spotless en-suite. The breakfast room was set out so our group of 10 could sit together and linger over an excellent breakfast. The owners lean over backwards to ensure a happy stay. Their attention to detail guarantees your stay will be happy.

They don't have a bar or restaurant, just a very small guest lounge beside the breakfast room. You can buy beer from the proprietors though.
I'm fairly sure that there were tea making facilities in our room.
