Detailed Reviews
I could not write a review after reading some of the negative ones on this. I am currently on my third stay at the Mariner View and I am more than amazed at how little the price is versus the brilliant standard of accommodation and location. Located right at the harbour and within walking distance of really good pubs and restaurants. The three rooms I have been in have a modern, high quality, seaside theme with ample space, storage and facilities. Bedding is comfy, tea and coffee making facilities, smart TV, towels, fridge, microwave. If you book online you get the room for £52.80. Less than a meal. I have stayed in similar standard properties around Scotland and paid well over £100 and I would pay that for this place. Great communication from Andrew the owner who even recommended good places to go for a drink in the area. Please stay here if you are in the area for any reason. I'm here for work but will be here for leisure too. A fantastic find.

Stayed at Marine view Irvine as ferry cancelled. May stay a further night. Right on harbour. Comfortable clean rooms. My room had fridge and micro wave, shower and tv.
Next door to lovely restaurant where I had sunday roast, ice cream and large glass of wine all for £23. There are takeaway delivery options for local Indian and Chinese meals if preferred.
Short distance to Ardrossan ferries.

We stayed at the Marina Studio which is at the back of the Marina View Guest House. This is a beautiful 'stand alone' building. It is well appointed with queen bed, tv, kettle, microwave, fridge and iron. The washroom and shower are ensuite. It has luxury vinyl flooring throughout and is cosy and quiet. There are many great dining options both next door and all along the harbour front. Irvine Beach is a five minute walk. Rivergate (15min.walk) provides many more dining and shopping options. There is no reception on site but the management is available via text or phone and is both responsive and friendly. We would certainly stay again.

Woeful, Won’t Be Returning.
This will be a short review of my experience from the accommodation. So walking in through the main doors I was firstly unable to get through with my suitcase, due to the door being rediculous slim. We met another couple who hadn’t received their check in code, so luckily were able to assist them and get them checked in. Once waiting outside our room, we were then informed that we had changed rooms, to no notice!! The lovey couple opposite offered us to leave everything in their rooms. Once in the place was freezing cold, luckily a spare heater was found in the cupboard, this was on permanently.
After awaking from a poor sleep, (I have spinal injuries which require warm environment ideally), I decided to have a shower. Only to find the shower wasn’t working. Also having ‘hand soap’ as a type of shower gel. I tried contacting the host numerous times, doesn’t reply at all. So I just simply checked out, won’t be returning, safe to say. What a shambles.

Booked this through booking.com as described as wheelchair accessible and free online parking.
Had to phone for key code.... when I got there someone was parked right in the middle of the parking space, tried the building to see if reception could get it moved, but no reception. Phoned owner who was disinterested. Had to unload then park across the road in the harbour car park. Very inconvenient for a wheelchair user.
On entering the room there's a step up, so not on one level as described...I can stand unaided thank goodness so was able to haul the chair in. Not much room to manoeuvre inside.
Bed was comfortable but fridge kept kicking in waking me up all night. Couldn't find plug for it.
Mould in base of shower do didn't use it.
Water heater above sink a bit temperamental.
Could do with a mirror in the room.
Miniature kettle took forever to boil, not cordless so had to schlep whole thing into bathroom.
Quite expensive for basic accommodation with no breakfast at all.

+1
Difficult to access as you had to phone to get a code and the telephone number provided was wrong. In the tiny room , the hot tap was falling off the basin, a handle was missing from the shower door, there was mildew in the shower, no sockets to plug in were visible(hidden behind a table), had to phone to get heating on (none in the shower room/toilet, small double bed with heavily creases duvet cover. Manager disinterested. All in all just awful, be warned

Booked this for our anniversary
They cancelled on us with 2 weeks to go then had to wait 3 to 5 days for refund.
Booking somewhere else cost us more.
Very unprofessional.
Informed them we were gutted asked if they would compensate by paying the difference no response

Stayed a couple of nights for a golf break. The compact twin room was spotless. The owner even met us at the rail station and dropped us off at the guest house.
There were 4 eating establishments on the door step and a special mention for the Harbour lights inn where the food was excellent.
Overall a great stay with great views of the harbour.

We stayed a couple of nights at the Marine View. Booking and contact with Andrew was easy. Access to the accommodation was fine too. The room had a view of the harbour, but the layout was a little different but that did not bother us. Everything worked, heating, hot water etc and the shower was fine. Although there was a fridge and microwave it would have helped if there was a couple of plates and cutlery.
I know some reviews are quite negative, but for the money, we found our stay to be good.
