This was our 4th year staying at Bunroy and we fall in love with it more each time. The tranquility and comfort of the site never fails to amaze us. The new lodge was fabulous to stay in and as always everything was spotlessly clean with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. The whole area (and everywhere in Scotland to be honest) felt very safe with the covid precautions in place and I know Trish and David have worked tirelessly (and continue to do so) to ensure the safety of their guests.
Trip advisor seems to be over-riding my original review if I write a new one so I've left it on with this one!

August 2017
We (myself, husband and two children) stayed in a lodge for one week. We had an amazing time exploring the surrounding area, fishing and playing by the river. As well as the tourist activities and the beautiful, natural attractions close by the site itself has games, books and DVD to borrow. Our children watched some great movies each evening as we chilled out in our comfy lodge after a busy day.
The outside areas are very well maintained and peaceful, perfect for a BBQ or sitting out having a drink watching the birds. Nothing was spared in the lodge. The owners obviuosly have high standards and the lodges are very well equipped, comfortable and immaculate.
What really made this holiday extra lovely were the owners. Tricia, David and their two boys were a joy to meet, from making us feel at home, checking everything was OK to giving us print outs of walks and finding extra DVDs for the kids. We really felt cared for.
Within an hour of leaving we had booked to go again at Easter.

From the children:
There are lots of rocks by the river and we built a dam.
We loved everything about our holiday especially playing by the river and having lots of space to run around outside our lodge.
The people are very kind and we can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in a beautiful lodge at Bunroy park. The lodge was equipped to a very high standard and in a perfect location for exploring the Highlands. The grounds were well maintained and very tranquil with a great view of Aonach Mor.
The owners David and Trish were very friendly and informative. The lodge and facilities were cleaned to a very high standard making us feel save during the pandemic

In desperation, we booked this site. It appeared to be the only one in the area of Ben Nevis that had any vacancies when I searched The Camping Club list of sites. Ideally we'd have wanted something a little bit closer to Fort William, but all seemed booked up.
And my wife, who is not a keen camper, went through the reviews and said "Okay, if that is all there is, we'll go there."
We got there late after a long, difficult and wet drive from Cumbria, but David and Trisha stayed on to make sure we got in and set up safely. And that friendly, warm welcome, certainly helped us settle in.
The facilities were spotless and the toilet block was washed at least 4 times a day. Including 2 deep cleans. They even had soft music piping through the shower blocks and complimentary washing up liquid at the was basins.
My wife is not a camper really but she said she has never seen a campsite so clean.
Certainly the highest praise.
Probably will not visit The Ben ever again, but if we do, Bunroy Park shall be at top of the list.

We visited Bunroy Park during the Easter holiday period. There were four of us that stayed in a chalet/lodge. This place is led by David and Trish who warmly welcomed us. They gave us some useful ideas and tips for our first visit to this part of Scotland.

The chalet was suitable for a family. We were travelling with two adults and two children aged 4 and 6 years. We had one with two bedrooms. The living room and kitchen facilities were extremely clean and well equipped. Trish and David have ensured that the lodge feels new. There were some useful items included such as washing up liquid, hand gel, sponges, towels etc. Sometimes it is hard to know how much to pack when one is staying in a self catering lodge.

The TV was a smart one and you could access all that you would need for kids. The lodge is not cleaned daily whilst you are there, so it is useful to plan to bring antibacterial wipes etc. There was a drying room provided too.

There were good heating facilities and the showers were hot. The freezer section is not huge but the fridge was plentiful. This is useful to know if you are meal-planning. The photographs are not misleading and this was definitely very well kept, clean accommodation.

There are some great restaurants/food places nearby. We visited a mixture of high end and pub-style venues. If you are keen to try something fancy, I recommend Lime Tree Al Ealhain which was about 25 minutes’ drive from the lodge.

We had a stunning view from our lodge. There is benching directly outside.

The location is very accessible to lots of other highlights in Scotland. Over one week, we went the Highland Wildlife Park, a number of white sand beaches an hour away near Mallaig, a number of walks including a visit to Loch Lochy and Loch Lochness, Ben Nevis and the gondola at The Nevis Range.

The immediate locality of the lodge is also brilliant because there was a one minute walk to the River Spean and the River Roy.

The lodge was quiet and relaxing.

Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Lovely site in a great part of the world. The welcome was friendly and informative; they have spent time and making the facilities Covid friendly and I can i can only say that I felt safe using the toilets/showers whilst I was there.
There are plenty of pitch options and whilst it got busier on the Friday night, it didn’t feel so. There’s an awesome dog walk along the river too.

Beautiful place to stay. Incredibly quiet and very warm welcome from the lady at reception who I think was the owner. She reassured us of all covid protocol in place and we could tell that she was telling the truth. Everywhere was incredibly clean. The ladies toilet and washroom were the nicest I have come across in any campsite, even with relaxing music playing while you shower! There was not a single speck of dirt in there! One complaint that my friend had was that there was a queue for the dryer (to be expected) and that people were often cutting the queue, and once it was finally her turn it only allowed her to select 7 minutes, but I’m unsure if she even used it correctly! Overall an amazing campsite! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Booked a camping pod and it was a delight after spending the previous night in a tent. Due to the unpredictable weather in fort william we would definitely recommend one of these pods as whilst more expensive than pitching a tent they are cheaper than a hotel and come with a heater which was a god send after the heavy rain and cold winds. Communal showers and bathrooms were super clean. The owners have made a significant effort to make things covid secure (some things were a little OTT IMHO but I appreciate them wanting to ensure guests safety). The reason I am not leaving a five star review is that there were no tea bags or coffee sachets in the pods which we would expect when paying £50 a night (plus the pods came with kettles and microwaves).

We stayed in a two person-lodge last winter (late december) and we were absolutely delighted to have chosen to stay at Bunroy Park. The friendliness of the owners, the very well-equipped kitchen, the overall temperature of the lodge, the very good wifi connexion and of course.. The vue on the mountains. The location of the lodges is also great if you come by car. In fact, you can reach the center of Fort William in under 15 min and you have a pub/inn at 5 min away walking distance from the lodge. I strongly recommend Bunroy Lodge if you are planning to roadtrip in the highlands!

Stayed at Bunroy Park for a couple of nights as we explored Fort William and the surrounding area, and climbed Ben Nevis.

The warmest of welcomes on arrival, and an impeccably kept campsite. Fab tent pitches, with plenty of space.

Shower block was incredibly clean - washed down 4 times a day - with spacious, powerful, warm showers. Gentle music and birdsong played in the background was a nice touch!

Would definitely stay again if camping in the area.

We stayed at Bunroy Park on our honeymoon June 2019, it was our second accommodation on our roadtrip from Edinburgh to Skye. We stayed in one of the lodges for 2 people overlooking the meadow.
The welcome was personal, enthusiastic and warm. We felt truly welcomed by Trish & David who run the park. Trish gave us a tour of the accommodation which was furnished with personal touches for newlyweds - it was so special and so loving. I've never been anywhere with such doting attention to detail.
The accommodation itself was cosy, immaculate and had all the amenities we could need and more. Easy driving distance to Fort William. I wish we had spent longer there but we will definitely be going back! We've also recommended Bunroy park to all our family and friends.
Easy 5 stars.
