This hotel is good for quick check in and rest followed by early morning check out. If you wish to spend any longer, the lack of service from staffs will get you to leave early. My request for multiple charging socket was answered by a finger pointing guy saying " You can buy it over there"
The hotel is fine. But there's no space in the room to unpack your bags, and no privacy in the bathroom - the shower and toilet are separated from the room by very thin frosted glass. Simple things, like opening curtains or switching on the television, are controlled by an iPad, which is temperamental. Getting harassed by unnecessarily complicated things like this puts a dampener on what should be a relaxing stay.
The room was clean and comfortably situated. There was a lot of technology, and while I can understand the appeal it seemed unnecessary. It was a good size for a four night stay and the shower was very good.
The hotel room was compact, but cosy. The TV was well placed and good quality. The shower was incredible, the option of standard or overhead nozzle was very enjoyable. Amenities were lacking. A kettle or microwave would have been handy, but with so many places to eat nearby they weren't severely missed. My only complaint is that our bins weren't emptied, even though we saw room service on our floor twice as we were leaving our room. I would definitely stay again.
We have stayed here on previous occasions and loved the option of late checkout and free movies so you can spend the morning recovering from your night out. They no longer offer this and have a Chromecast option that relies on your own mobile, apps and subscriptions. Everyone trying to do this at once clearly doesn't work as it kept disconnecting every 5 minutes or buffering. Very poor choice to change this - can see they have said in previous reviews this is in line with guest feedback. Well why not just add the option rather than remove the movies? Pretty much only reason for staying here over other hotels so won't be back. The room itself was very grubby - headboard and bed surround look like they used to be white or cream at some point. Now covered in yellow/brown stains, as was the wallpaper. Windows also were dirty and mouldy shower. Definitely needs a deep clean - ipad and remote were also very dusty (and no battery when first checked in). They also only give you 1 pillow each but didnt realise this till very late and didnt want to get dresse again/wander hotel to find someone. Would be nice to have them already in the room like other hotels so you don't need to work for them. Such a shame the place is really run down as it used to be a great place to stay. …
This was our first introduction to Citizen M, we were very impressed. Extremely clean room, super comfy huge bed, lovely breakfast, professional friendly staff. We're considering staying in the Tower of London branch next.
If you are tall - this is the hotel for you - fabulous bed. Great Staff. Living Room area for relaxing and working is awesome. I was there on business but will definitely return with my husband and recommend to all my friends. Best Sleep I have ever had in an hotel
Terrible check in and checkout; room small but ok; Air-con terrible; iPad to control whole environment great idea but too many glitches; staff very helpful except at checking in and checking out. Overall a great experience marred by things which should not have happened
Lovely hotel but don’t book if you’ve got small children. Terribly stressful experience as they don’t accommodate for babies, no cot provided, no kettle in the room, nowhere to dispose of dirty nappies.
I stayed 3 nights on a work trip. Fabulous staff - really exceptional customer service and great breakfast with amazing coffee. Nice quirky decor throughout. The room was spotless, my bed was really comfy and I liked the light adjustments. My only wee issue was with the iPad which was a bit temperamental. It could be good to have a kettle in the room although I personally would not use it. Also maybe not the best space for work if you need a desk in your room but I didn't. I really hope to come back some time.
