Arrived in edinburgh with no hotel, last minute we booked into the village hotel, not expecting too much we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel was immaculately clean with spacious and comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly and hotel was ideally on a bus route with regular servi

Myself, my girlfriend and 12 other family members stayed here 1st weekend in December. I cant speak for any of the rest of the group but our experience was not up to standard. First of all, we recieved an email to say payment was required to guarantee the booking 2 days before we

I have stayed in this hotel several times and can’t fault it. Everything is first class. Checking in and out is so easy and quick. Hope the chain keeps up with the times and gets even more vegan friendly.

Stayed a couple of nights visiting Western General. DIY reception a little impersonal. Room cold and no apparent response when reported. First breakfast was disappointing as No hot food brief apology but no refund of reduction. Lively bar with TVs and busy gym. Room ok and clean

Dear Travell_a_lot Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you liked your room and we will investigate the breakfast matter its certainly not our norm. Maybe we had an influx and were just waiting on the chef to replenish the plates. Thanks David Operations Manager

Booked girls at the Spa offer and food from the Brand TDH menu is included anyone know what is on this menu as can’t find it on their website?
This is the Table ‘d ote menu or fixed price menu, each of the village hotels have a different price from £13.95 to 15.95 or there is a fixed carvery on Sundays. Best to phone Hotel and ask. We did the Spa deal in Edinburgh on a Friday night leaving on the Saturday, the spa/massage was good but was the first massage I have been to that wasn’t connected to a pool, steam room or sauna which meant putting all your clothes on again with body covered in massage oil. Chic boutique style hotel, big rooms, very clean with ensuite, staff friendly and helpful. Didn’t like the continual loud music as you enter reception and bar dining area, otherwise I am sure you will enjoy.

Looking at staying in this hotel for a night away in Edinburgh, is it too far from the city centre or is it a okay distance?
We also used the bus service . Bus stop right outside and goes straight into the city centre in about 20 mins

can the pool be used by non guests
I am not sure, when I stayed at the hotel you had the option to pay £5 per person to use the health club pool. It appears to be a private health club in the hotel, give them a call to clarify.
