Fantastic location, so close to the city centre but has a genteel quietness amidst rows of classic Georgian terraces. Easy to get to from the airport via the tram and easy access to all other attractions. Angela attends to your every need, generous breakfasts with no compromise to quality ingredients.

A great location, ten minutes walk from Waverley train station, the city centre easily accessible but slightly quieter with its own selection of bars and restaurants away from the frenetic city centre. Angela proved to be a perfect host both prior to and during our visit, with recommendations on where to eat, which we booked in advance ( a necessity) particularly as our visit coincided with the Fringe and Tattoo. Sharing Angela’s home meant we were treated as valued guests in her townhouse. Sharing tales of our day over the breakfast table with the other guests proved to a highlight.

Very nice house decorated with refinement. The host Angela was very helpful with information about what to visit in the city of Edinburgh. We much enjoyed discussing history with Angela, The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits, tea, coffee, eggs and bacon all prepared with perfect presentation. The room was well equipped even an Nespresso machine, whisky and wine were available with a nice and practical bathroom. A real Edinburgh refinement. Thanks to Angela

We stayed at the 14 Hart Street B & B in Edinburgh for 3 nights in July. Angela is a wonderful hostess; welcoming and helpful in making recommendations on things to do and places to see. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a lovely Victorian feel. The breakfast is made-to-order and delicious. It is located only 10-minutes walking distance from the ‘Royal Mile’. We highly recommend staying with Angela at 14 Hart Street. W&T Peel

Angela is a wonderful welcoming host! Our 3-night stay at 14 Hart Street was everything we could have hoped for in a BnB. The location was great, the place was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the water pressure was fantastic. The best part was breakfast with the French press coffee and all the options. There were croissants and toast and cereal, smoked salmon, and eggs that Angela cooked to order every morning. We would definitely stay again.

14 Hart Street offers elegance and comfort without the overhead of a grand hotel. Our rooms were beautifully appointed offering a carafe of excellent single malt Scotch, a small bottle of wine, a box of delicious shortbread along with the usual coffee and tea. The breakfasts were sumptuous, beginning with warm croissants before one’s choice of cooked breakfast or cold continental. Besides the traditional Scottish cooked breakfast of egg, toast, : beans, sausage, bacon, black pudding and haggis (a must), one could opt for eggs and a generous serving of Scottish smoked salmon. The location is an easy walk to the Scottish portrait gallery, Princes Street, and a reasonable 20 minute walk to the castle. A very enjoyable stay.

I had a wonderful couple of nights at 14 Hart Street while exploring beautiful Edinburgh. The accommodation is a lovely mix between old and new - old in terms of the building and new new in terms of the amenities. Angela is a thoroughly pleasant and engaging host and nothing was a bother. The breakfast was superb - fresh berries and cereal and perfectly cooked bacon and eggs. The room was sumptuous - a very comfortable bed, beautiful linen and a shower with power! It was lovey, in Scotland, to come home from dinner and pour a complimentary dram prior to sleep. I cannot recommend 14 Hart Street highly enough.
