Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel was very dirty and a very unpleasant smell. Would not recommend a night stay at this hotel. Requested the room to be cleaned and only bins got emptied. Carpet full of dust and dirt. No customer service and very unpleasant 4 days.

The bed was comfortable. However, the plug, was sparse and only one was decent enough to be used to charge 4 gadgets which is two iPhones and two iPads, we were able to use the TV socket if it was turned on off. The toilet was leaking around the bottom every morning there was water on the floor which we just mopped up, there was lots of noise from children underneath our room going in and out the door, banging the doors all the time. Would’ve been great to have had a fridge in the room, and the radiator was dangerously looking close to falling off the wall, meaning I would never have used it if it had been cold in the room. The room was clean if you didn’t look close up. The chairs however was terribly dirty, I spilt coffee on one as it fell from the top which has a bed at the front of it so my cup didn’t balance, and I clean the chair and was disgusted with what came out of that chair. (I have pictures but cannot attach)

This is a good Travelodge, clean, quiet, good condition, welcoming staff, good location (very close to local regular bus services into Edinburgh if you wish to use them). Also a short walk to a big Morrisons if you need to have a cheap meal or breakfast or buy anything.

We enjoyed staying in Travelodge Dreghorn in Edinburgh. Budget price for family room, nice clean room looks the same like on site's photos, cozy beds, TV, kettle, towels, tea, coffee, pet friendly 👍.

Corridor had canabis like smell, had to ask receptionist to change the room which the lady did. No latches in shower room/toilets, there were spiders in the room, door locks were broken and fixed, gaps not covered. Hotel is very old and did not have basic facilities like hair dryer

Had a fantastic stay in a family room over the weekend and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We arrived a bit early but our room was ready and we were able to have access. The location is good with access to supermarkets a short drive away. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I would like to give a special mention to Olivia and Charlotte on reception for excellent customer service. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Edinburgh. Thank you x
