Premier Inn just as you would expect, clean, great location, well kept rooms and friendly staff. We stayed for a sneaky week winter break and had planned to travel during our stay. Knowing we would hire a car and having a plane enthusiast in the family, this hotel practically at the end of the run way suited us perfectly. Located approx. 10 mins drive away from the airport, and great links to all services and motorways if you hire a car. I wouldn’t say ideally suited to not having your own transport, although I didn’t look to see where the nearest bus stops were and of course the hotel would call a taxi should you require. Parking was easy although chargeable and discounted for guests. The staff were very approachable and friendly and were only to keen to assist if required. The rooms were well maintained and clean. The windows soundproofed which helped with the planes overhead. (Not a problem for my plane spotting teenager) Meals served in the restaurant were good value and well presented. I would definitely use this hotel as a base again.

We stayed at this hotel so that we could spend a few days exploring Edinburgh. We were checked in efficiently. There was no restaurant in the evening due to Covid I presume. The lady that checked us in wasn't very knowledgeable on public transport into Edinburgh. She told us where we could catch a bus even though there was a fabulous tram service into the city not far away. There is some aircraft/motorway noise but inside the room it is minimal. The staff at breakfast were amazing even though the toaster was misbehaving. We were encouraged to order food in. Staff brought us plates and cutlery and we sat in the restaurant area to eat. We had a view of the car park at the back of the hotel where travellers were parked up on the road behind. They were leaving more and more rubbish daily. This was a shame and wasn't nice to see.

We were given a room close to the main desk which was very handy, I was worried at first that we would be woken up at night when people came back to the hotel but this was not the case. The staff were amazing and bent over backwards to help. Would not hesitate to stay here again. We took the X18 from just down the road into town so worth buying the travel card if you are are going to be spending four plus days here and don’t want to pay high hotel prices in town. The bus trip was about half an hour but it was nice to see things to and from this hotel. Tv was a little small but not really an issue

This novemeber i stayed at this hotel arriving late at night . I had a bath and then after getting ready for bed realized the bath was completly flooded all the water is in the bathroom !! At 1 am my cousin and I went downstairs to tell them what happened and requesting a room change which we did not get !! We got a response of "this happens alot" and we will not get a room change ! And handed a packet of towels to "clean it up ourseleves " next morning more water had flooded the bathroom now coming from the sink , also the toilet would not flush !!. Got out of that room as quick as we could. We went dowmstairs asking the receptionist on if we could get compensation for this terrible stay but she did not believe us and said "you just over filled the bath was it "she then left for 20 minutes and went and served other customers leaving us sitting in the lobby . She came back and aksed us to show her the room asking us stupid questions like how much water was there ? Did it cover the entire floor! She then came and give us a card saying we have to contact the guest relation team ourselves !!!!! Then offering us a "free breakfast " or a " coffee " us refusing as we were running to catch a flightand we wanted to leave there ASAP and this was a stupid offer anyways . I have contacted the guesst relation teams by email with no proper response !!! Left them numerous miss calls and have spent hours trying to get through to them ! This is an utter disgrace . Worst customer service ever !! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Please be warned that this hotel is not easily accessable for the airport as it is nearly 3 miles away and is not walkable due to the main roads/motorways. If you have a flight that is unsociable hours then you are reliant on the local taxis turning up. Some are known to cancel at the last minute or not turn up at all.
