Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff were friendly and obliging. Room comfortable. Very expensive due to festival being on. I was visiting my new baby grandson. Unfortunately breakfast was not so good, coffee machine was broken, half the food and orange juce on offer had ran out. Other travellers heard complaining and replying you said the same yesterday. When I complained I was offered breakfast refund for the 3 nights I stayed. I only ate 1 breakfast, of hardly anything. My card was swiped for the refund of £30.75 but i still don't have it. My key card had to get reswiped each time returned and I was unable to get in for 10 minutes on 2nd night. Sadly i probably won't use travelodge again

Overall happy with our stay here as a family. Staff more than happy to help. Clean and comfortable room. About 10min walk to gyle shopping centre and to catch the tram to get to Edinburgh City centre.

Promised 24/7 bar by different staff member to the staff member who was there at 00:00. The lateral staff meme we didn’t serve us due to his inability to work the card machine then refused cash as he didn’t know the prices of anything and tipped us to the vending machine which was £2 a water. Poor experience given false advertising which was a big let down for a nice family day out. Only looking for one or two last drinks. Very very poor service on that behalf.

close to the airport, standard service, but many details not quite as they should be. No free WiFi! Complicated process to buy WiFi and log in with serveral devices. Staff not very helpful with problems.

Hotel is in a great location and it's only a 10 minute walk to Edinburgh Park Station. Hotel has free parking. However, limited local knowledge by staff and lack of housekeeping on 2nd day resulted in lower score. We also were provided a standard room although paid for Super Plus Room, the hotel staff did sort this out for us though and changed rooms. We also had to ask for extra towels and pillows due to this room being made up 3 and not 4 persons.

In the middle of an easyJet-cancellation nightmare, the fellow running Edinburgh Park (Ardell - please forgive my spelling) really went several extra miles to help us out on the night - from knowing who I was when I called, through nice clear directions to the place, to getting us a cab that showed up bang on 03:45 when we needed it. So helpful and reassuring. Many, many thanks for making our unbearable first world problems (!) almost bearable.

Staff were amazing but the rooms were very basic. We travelled with our two kids for two nights. When we arrived on the first night we were soaked from the rain and had no where to hang our wet jackets. We all had a shower then had no where to hang wet towels. I know this might seem trivial but everything had to be stacked on the floor in piles which wasn't ideal. I don't think there is anything plus about this hotel which is a shame as the location is good.

Convenient location for bus into the city. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was perfunctory but we’d stayed in a Premier Inn the night before and the difference was noticeable. Breakfast was dry, despite us being there when the cafe opened.

I had two rooms booked on July the 9th for 1 night. I arrived extremely late and the receptionist on duty was extremely friendly and helpful in getting us all sorted and in our rooms. The rooms were both absolutely immaculate and very spacious. We left the following day to endure the 6hr drive home after our road trip round Scotland. Unfortunately my 9yr old little boy left his teddies and blankys he’s has since birth. I called the hotel just after midnight once we’d arrived home and discovered Charlie and Harry were missing. The phone was answered by Paige who hunted these bears down and assured me they would be out in the post the very next day. Well Charlie and Harry plus the rags my son loves arrived this morning (13/7/23) by recorded post at no cost to me whatsoever. I genuinely cannot thank this lady enough for all her help and I can’t thank the staff enough for making our final night/morning in Scotland so delightful. I will be contacting travelodge head office to let them know that Paige needs to be recognised for her outstanding service. Excellent team work from the housekeeper who found the bears and blankys and excellent service from Paige in getting them safely home. If I could give you a higher rating I absolutely would ❤️ Thank you Edinburgh Park 👌🏻👍🏻

We’ve not stayed in a Travelodge for a few years but we needed somewhere with parking and this seemed to fit the bill. We stayed in an upgraded room and it was great. Coffee machine, ironing board and loads of space made the upgrade well worth it. Special thanks to Lara on reception who ensured that check in was an easy experience and also for helping us with details of how to get into the city by bus. (The bus stop is just outside the hotel.) I think we’ll probably be back here in future and we’ll probably make use of other Travelodges in our travels. Definitely better than the opposition on this showing, with cheerful staff making us feel most welcome.
