The Park Hotel is located just half a mile from the town centre and overlooks/ doubles up as a confrence centre for the football club/ stadium. The rooms are large, airy and excellent value for the money they charge (£60 odd). They feature large plasma TV screens, good internet provision, biscuits and included in the price are parking and a top draw breakfast. The veggie option (particularly the haggis and pancake) was something else. If it's good enough for the footballers who were dining there before training, then its good enough for me. Sitting and watching the groundsmen do there work is also a great way to while away your morning during breakfast.
There's only one minor criticism I can think of so I'll sandwich it here between all the other positives; the double beds were clearly two single beds pushed together so weren't as comfy as they could have been.
Communal areas were very modern and refurbishment work was underway during my stay so no doubt the hotel's facilities will have been further improved since then. I will certainly remember this place should work bring me over to this neck of the woods again.

I loved this hotel the downstairs area and the amazing food. The hotel bedrooms and ensuite really let this hotel down aswell as the main bar area as I feel these need renovations. Restaurant part was good and stylish. And staff are very friendly. On 15th February breakfast time the male server was great and very attentive. This member of staff is a great credit to this hotel. Coming from a different country to this mans welcoming service in the morning was great. Unsure of his name but he is in need of some credit 😀

I visited this hotel on 23rd September with 10 of my family to attend the tribute night showing The Men of Motown.
We were celebrating my wife's 70th birthday and I had booked six rooms for an overnight stay. I booked everything with the help from a lady called Melissa who I found to be a great help, so very polite with a very positive attitude, a great asset to the hotel I'm sure.
This review is being written after getting the opinions of family who were all in agreement.
The hotel was very clean and all the staff fabulous, the show itself was very entertaining and we had great fun. The rooms were very good indeed with everything you could need and we also had a full breakfast, which is included in the price, to look forward too.
To sum I would say that I will now be looking out for more of these events at The Park Hotel in the future and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

I have been somewhat underwhelmed the past few times I've visited but as the hotel is on my doorstep we decided to come round for a bite of lunch with my husband and children.
Every time lately the service has been poor but on that day it was really unacceptable. The staff were on the whole pleasant but we waited far too long to be served and also to receive our food. Drinks were forgotten too and when the food arrived it was just ok and was poorly presented.
After lunch we asked for dessert and coffee. The desserts arrived after a time but the coffee was again forgotten about so we cancelled it then paid and left. On leaving, the female wearing a suit joked that she didn't get round to making the coffee as she "was far too busy making cocktails for another table" which was really unprofessional.
I think it might be quite a while before we return. It's really disappointing that the service is consistently this way as if it were different, we would visit more often. With other places in town serving good food, I worry that the hotel could lose a lot of custom to elsewhere.

We recently held a 50th wedding anniversary dinner within the Park Hotel and from start to finish, they were absolutely excellent.
We have been communicating on and off with the hotel’s event staff for the last six months or so and their email/telephone communications were always timely and informative. I found the pricing for private dining to be extremely reasonable and the menu options were varied.
On the night of the event, we were served by Connor whose customer service and attentiveness was absolutely top notch. He even engaged with the children who were attending and ensured they had a good time as well. Connor is to be commended for how well he looked after us all evening as are the other servers who attended to us as well.
The standard of food we had on all courses was amazing and truly exceeded everyone’s expectations. The plates were cleared away quickly and we were regularly asked if anyone needed drinks etc. We never felt rushed and the staff even helped us to clear decorations away at the end.
I would not hesitate to organise another family event through the Park Hotel and would highly recommend this as a venue.

We were booked in at The Park Hotel on 31st July and 1st August 2020. All staff we met were friendly and welcoming in both the hotel and restaurant. However, we did not sleep due to excess noise and movement from the room above us on the first night. The second night they made sure that there were no occupants in the room above which we appreciated. We were expecting some recognition of the lack of sleep on the first night when we checked out but did not hear from the general manager until I called the hotel to check my complaint has been passed to him. His comment and handling of this shocked me as his response was “The Park is not a premier inn, therefore does not guarantee a good nights sleep”??!! if you want to be sure of sleep don’t go to The Park as the general manager obviously doesn’t care! We will not be back!

On arrival the hotel looks nice from outside however the car park area looks it could do with a lot of repair work which brings the look down. Inside we were was met with a friendly receptionist and made us feel welcome. Due to the fact there was almost no one stating she was also our waitress when we had afternoon tea which was really nice. The rooms are spacious and we both had a good night sleep and enjoyed the personal touch of a bottle of fizz. Breakfast was a mixed review. Milk was not chilled for my cereal but never stopped me having it. Toast came with butter but due to not chilled butter it was a runny mess which was all over our table so no toast. The Scottish breakfast was great which my wife loved however I was unable to eat mine due to the fact no sauce or beans were offered and no one came and asked if I needed any sauce or salt. So my lovely breakfast was too dry for me to eat and due to no staff around . Time I could have shouted to the other side of the restaurant to the only waiter it went cold. Would I stay here again is always the question you need to ask. Overall and due to the circumstances probably would be a YES. Over all had a above average stay.

Used this hotel for a shopping trip to Glasgow, finished off with attending a football match at the next door stadium. Hotel is less than 25 minutes drive from Silverburn shops in Glasgow and easy to find as long as you avoid the one way system in Kilmarnock and come in on the South side exit from A77.
Large car park with easy parking, however check that if there is a match on at Kilmarnock FC or you may have issues gaining entry. Perfect location for football, less than 1 minute walk to stadium.
Welcome was very positive and bar, restaurant and foyer are all very modern and welcoming. Although we didnt eat in restaurant due to time of arrival, menu looked very appealing. We did have the included breakfast, which was of very good standard - all freshly made to order, not one of these buffet style hot plates.
Room was more than adequate, not as modern as down stairs facilities mentioned previously but well appointed, quite large for a double and everything you need was there. No complaints and had a quiet nights sleep.
Would definitely use again.

I booked a function suite at The Park Hotel to deliver some face to face training to staff. The whole process could not have been easier. On arrival teas, coffees and biscuits were waiting for us, and the tables were set out perfectly. Our host, Jack, was excellent and I received great feedback from delegates. The lunch was served on individual plates due due COVID and was very tasty. I would highly recommend the Park Hotel for any business gathering

I booked this hotel stay as a holiday treat before returning to work. We had never been here before but we will definitely be returning.
From check in at reception the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had booked a platter lunch in the pavilion and thoroughly enjoyed it, again the staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was clean and comfortable and larger than many rooms we have stayed in, with a nice big TV.
We had dinner on the Blues restaurant and both of us were stuffed. The quality was excellent and the dishes well cooked. All the serving staff were pleasant, cheers Jake and seemed to be happy at work.
In the bar it was table service only, not a problem but it was quite quiet. Bar prices were reasonable compared to many 4 star hotels, they have an extensive selection of drinks. My only criticism would be that the bar is part of a cafe and I feel that a separate bar would be an improvement.
Next morning the breakfast was excellent, I have eaten a lot of full Scottish breakfasts and the quality of the ingredients was brilliant.
All in all we WILL be returning, my one regret is not signing up for the reward card 😢
