I booked Denvir's for a one night business stay. The price made me not expect anything good. How wrong was I !! Stepping into Denvir's is stepping back in time, the friendliness, efficiency, character and quality are excellent. The place is hundreds of years old...More

Hi Neil, Thank you so much for the kind review. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay and hopefully we'll see you again soon. Next time, stay a little longer and look around the area. I think you will be equally surprised by how beautiful it...More

Our room was large, comfortable and good size bed. The view was not fantastic, overlooking a nearby roof and yard, but not unpleasant. Our friends had the room next door which they found very small and pokey and they could feel a spring in the...More

Hi Nick, Thank you for the review. Our Inn is the oldest Coaching Inn in Ireland to have operated as such throughout it's existence. We were established in 1642. Building back then wasn't the same as it is now so that all of our rooms...More

Christopher, This is a bit unfair. We're an old Coaching Inn built in 1642 in the centre of the town. Car parking wasn't part of the plan then, and it clearly states on all of our information that private parking isn't available. There is on...More

About
Description
A country home away from home! Established in 1642, Denvir's Hotel is steeped in history and is the perfect setting for a relaxing break. Offering old world charm in the heart of Downpatrick, Denvir's has More a long tradition of sheltering travellers and will endeavour to ensure that your stay will be a memorable one. Now part of the award winning Botanic Inns group, Denvir’s is the oldest surviving coaching inn in Ireland and is now a grade ‘A’ listed building. The building itself has been extensively and sympathetically renovated while retaining its original character. With six attractive and beautifully restored bedrooms, a restaurant, lounge and snug bars as well as two function rooms for hire; there are many reasons to visit Denvir’s. All of Downpatrick's best historical attractions are located on the same road as Denvirs. St Patricks Grave, The Catherdral and the Gaol are all located on English Street. So we're in the heart of the action! We look forward to welcoming you to Denvir's Hotel. Less
