Detailed Reviews
Visiting Northern Ireland for a wedding, we wanted to stay on the North Coast, close by to all the sites the area has to offer. Glass Island is in a fantastic location, within easy driving distance of everything we wanted to see and a short walk away from the shops, restaurants and pubs in Ballycastle - not to mention being able to reach Ballycastle’s spectalur beach by foot in around 10-15 mins.
Glass Island B&B itself is a real treat to stay at - spotless, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfasts each morning were delicious and fresh and we felt so looked after and welcomed by Sharon. We would recommend to anyone.

Myself and my husband visited for a 3 night stay and could not have been more pleased with everything about Glass Island - the owner, Sharon, was easy going and welcoming, alongside keeping a keen eye that everything was up to standard, and her hard work certainly pays off!
The rooms are bright and comfortable with a great shower, it was spotlessly clean and breakfast was fresh and delicious - with homemade overnight oats and a great selection of cooked brekkie options.
Being a 5 minute stroll to the seafront made the location ideal for the rathlin ferry, harbour, and beach and short stroll to the town centre. Whilst close to everything this is a quiet spot and we slept so well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation to recommend this property to others.

We spent one night here and were given the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge Suite on the first floor. Sharon met us at the door and from that point on everything was of the highest standard.
The house and rooms are very modern and minimalist with everything finished to the highest standards.
Our room was large with a king size bed and everything you could need. Wi-Fi is provided. The bathroom is wet room style with rain forest shower. Towels are excellent.
There is a large residents lounge and breakfast area and a nice touch is a small fridge with bottled water available as required.
Breakfast service and the breakfast range and quality continued the overall excellence. My Ulster fry was the most nicely presented ever (see pic)
Glass Island has good parking facilities and is within easy walking of both Ballycastle town centre and the harbour area.
We would recommend a stay at Glass Island without reservation. Sharon and her husband are doing a great job.

Stayed one night in this luxury B&B and it certainly lived up to the billing. The house and rooms are finished to a very high standard, we had the deluxe king room on the first floor and it was better than most of the top chain hotel rooms we have stayed in.
Room was spotless, bathroom was modern with a rain water walk in shower, king size bed was very comfortable with the usual facilities you would expect - TV, WiFi, hairdryer etc etc.
Great location just a 5 minute stroll to the front. There is a fitting room for guests with a log burner which would be really cosy on a winters afternoon.
Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and more than enough to keep you going for the day.
A really enjoyable stay and great value for money.

Excellent place. Warm, comfortable, everything in very good repair, sumptuous breakfasts cooked by the hosts and included in the price: eminently useable free wifi, everything very friendly. Off-road parking, beach a 2-min walk. A good number of eating-places in town, about 10 mins walk away.

We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely B and B as part of a holiday travelling around Northern Ireland. The location, rooms, showers, linen and breakfasts were all excellent quality and Sharon is very helpful. Fans were provided when the weather turned a bit warmer which was really appreciated. There is a fridge with chilled bottled water to help yourself to in the lounge area and room to keep your own tipple cold in there for an evening drink. We would highly recommend your lovely B and B and if we return to Ballycastle we would definitely love to stay again. Thank you. 😊

We had a great experience at the Glass Island B&B, which was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and conveniently located within walking distance of multiple pubs/restaurants/shops. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful - they also served the best traditional Irish breakfast of our entire trip. We would definitely stay here again!

We selected this on the basis of the reviews and were not disappointed. Sharon, the owner could not have been more naturally pleasant and bent over backwards to cater for our vegan daughter, also giving invaluable advice about car parking for local beauty spots. She also provided take away breakfast for my daughter and her boyfriend when they had to leave early for their return flight. The standard of cleanliness and finish in the whole place was remarkable, on a par with a five start hotel. Bedrooms, lounge area and dining areas are welcoming and spacious, and the access to refrigerated bottled water a great feature in the baking heat. Wonderful breakfasts, very comfortable mattresses. Well done and thanks again Sharon

We recently had a four night stay in this lovely B&B. We were given a very warm welcome from Sharon on arrival and she was very informative on places to eat and local attractions which we would not have found on our own.
Lovely home made fresh breakfast every morning.
The bed rooms are of a very high standard , large and spotlessly clean.
We have travelled to ballycastle for many years now and we will definitely be staying again in the future.
