A group of us stayed at the Alpine lodge the weekend just gone and I can’t speak highly enough of the place. In terms of a guesthouse exactly what you want!

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with lots of amenities and treats, the breakfast included in the room rate was really, really good - very tasty and a large selection both hot & cold! Plus the service was friendly and efficient.

The staff we came across in general were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us especially the young girl (didn’t catch her name but she was very helpful).

The location was perfect for us, we were there to climb Snowdon and it was ideally situated on the llanberis high street so very good access to the mountain paths and pubs.

Only thing I’ll just give a heads up to others is there is limited car parking spaces so it may be worth looking at alternative parking options for your stay here just incase.

Great stay here, really enjoyed it and I would definitely stay here if I was back this way again.

We stayed for two nights here as we wanted to walk up Snowdon. It is a beautiful property with 6 parking bays in front which is better than most. The staff where very friendly and even though COVID changed how they handle customers now he was still very polite when greeting us and advised everything we needed to know. We where in the deluxe room on the top floor, and it was perfect. Very nicely decorated and lots of small touches that makes the room feel very well thought out. Very clean and tidy, came with all the standard amenities, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc kettle and mini fridge together with a packet of crisps and a chocolate bar each too. There was a small unit for your clothes with hangers etc and the bathroom was well stocked up with hand wash, shampoo and conditioner but no body wash (minor oversight which didn’t effect my opinion). There was a hairdryer with its own mirror and a fan/hater too. The breakfasts are now presented at your room 8am prompt in a small basket with a selection of fruits. They can’t offer the room being turned down while you stay but honestly I would prefer this so again didn’t effect us. Overall very happy and I would recommend.

We stayed at the Alpine Lodge, on arrival we had to ring the bell on the desk and a young lady came and told us what room we were in and that breakfast was served 8am-9am.

The room was large, clean and with two comfy chairs by the window, where we could sit and admire the view of the village and lake. There was plenty of tea and coffee with biscuits and pkt of crisps each, that we thought was a nice touch and was replaced the next day . The bed was a nice size and very comfy. The bathroom was big and had toiletries by the sink and shower with plenty of towels

Breakfast was really good with cereal, fruit and yogurts to start as well as orange juice. The lady who served us was really welcoming and asked if we wanted the cook breakfast, as there was no menu to say if we could have anything else instead, we decided to have the breakfast, which was really nice, with plenty of toast . We then heard a couple on another table asking for something different, so we did the same on the second day.

However, we did find the walls in between our room and the room next to us really thin and if you got a loud person staying there you can hear word for word, but that can't be helped . Also on my last morning I did hope to have a shower but couldn't get it to work and as we were off soon it wasn't worth saying anything. I did notice that the rubber under the shower glass was green and mouldy, which didn't look good.

We enjoyed our stay at Alpine Lodge and would recommend staying there

On arrival we were informed there was no breakfast provided due to Covid which we were unaware of and would not have booked if realised. There was also just an ‘emergency’ phone number for problems but no reception cover due to Covid. We wondered how other establishments seemed to manage? We wanted to ask questions but no one to ask and felt they were not an ‘emergency’. The room itself was basic. The bedside lamp didn’t work, the bathroom light didn’t work, the bath panel was coming off, the tap was too big for the sink which created water everywhere and there was no hot water during the day. We noticed a note left for new arrivals as again no one to meet them. Of course Covid dictates much more stringent health and safety precautions but there could have been better ways of dealing with this. Why only emergencies for telephone calls? Would not return unfortunately.

We stayed for 2 nights as we were doing the zip wire close by. Beautiful double room, fantastic shower, everywhere was spotlessly clean..lovely touch in the bathroom with shower gel, shampoo and cotton oads/cotton ear buds.
A fantastic base for exploring the area with a lovely walk round Llanberis lake just over the road and just down the road the base of Snowdon!
Due to covid restrictions, breakfast is brought to your room in a little hamper..
The breakfast sandwich was hot and included fruit, yoghurt, breakfast bars, fresh orange juice. The host was really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble like refilling your coffee/tea requirements.
Would definitely stay here again.

2 night stay for myself and my Husband with our 2 french bulldogs. Lovely views of the lake and the mountains from our room. The room was lovely, perfect size and everything we needed, fresh and clean with a comfy bed.
The check in was completely hassle free, literally picked the keys up in reception and went to the room. We met owner Martin who was a nice guy who works hard to look after the place to such a high standard.

Breakfast was awesome, everything on offer and very nice.

Price was reasonable for such a nice place, would highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay here with my partner, clean rooms, it was very hot when we stayed so very appreciative of the fan that was in our room, stunning views in a beautiful village at the bottom of snowdon. Very welcoming, good breakfast. I would recommend to anyone looking to spend some time in the north of Wales in Eyri

Spent a few days at The Alpine Lodge with my Dad as a base to explore the area. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Room was immaculately clean and I was really impressed with the shower in the bathroom! We loved our stay and will look to stay here again next time we visit LLanberis.

Absolutely loved this place, room was spot on, we're not one of the white gloves brigade, and didn't need to be, it was spotless. Host's were very accommodating, breakfast was at 8am but we were leaving to climb before then, so they made us a pack up breakfast to take before we went, which in my book is above and beyond. Beautiful room, beautiful place, amazing breakfast. Well done guys, we will be back.

Alpine Lodge is an absolute gem of a find. The rooms at the front give you an amazing view across the lake and are smart, clean and very comfortable. After a long drive, I immediately relaxed. Breakfast is substantial - a full Welsh breakfast and cereal sets you up for a walk up Snowdon, together with a pot of coffee. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us advice about where and what to visit and chatting in the breakfast room.
It may claim to "only" be a three star hotel, but I would far rather stay here than in a multitude of other "five star" hotels!

From the hotel if you are doing the Llanberis path it is literally a 5-10 minute walk straight down the road to the start of the climb (that’s what we did). And also yes there are plenty of nice little pubs (serving food) , cafe’s etc in the town of Llanberis very close by!
