The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with lots of amenities and treats, the breakfast included in the room rate was really, really good - very tasty and a large selection both hot & cold! Plus the service was friendly and efficient.
The staff we came across in general were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us especially the young girl (didn’t catch her name but she was very helpful).
The location was perfect for us, we were there to climb Snowdon and it was ideally situated on the llanberis high street so very good access to the mountain paths and pubs.
Only thing I’ll just give a heads up to others is there is limited car parking spaces so it may be worth looking at alternative parking options for your stay here just incase.
Great stay here, really enjoyed it and I would definitely stay here if I was back this way again.
The room was large, clean and with two comfy chairs by the window, where we could sit and admire the view of the village and lake. There was plenty of tea and coffee with biscuits and pkt of crisps each, that we thought was a nice touch and was replaced the next day . The bed was a nice size and very comfy. The bathroom was big and had toiletries by the sink and shower with plenty of towels
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fruit and yogurts to start as well as orange juice. The lady who served us was really welcoming and asked if we wanted the cook breakfast, as there was no menu to say if we could have anything else instead, we decided to have the breakfast, which was really nice, with plenty of toast . We then heard a couple on another table asking for something different, so we did the same on the second day.
However, we did find the walls in between our room and the room next to us really thin and if you got a loud person staying there you can hear word for word, but that can't be helped . Also on my last morning I did hope to have a shower but couldn't get it to work and as we were off soon it wasn't worth saying anything. I did notice that the rubber under the shower glass was green and mouldy, which didn't look good.
We enjoyed our stay at Alpine Lodge and would recommend staying there
A fantastic base for exploring the area with a lovely walk round Llanberis lake just over the road and just down the road the base of Snowdon!
Due to covid restrictions, breakfast is brought to your room in a little hamper..
The breakfast sandwich was hot and included fruit, yoghurt, breakfast bars, fresh orange juice. The host was really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble like refilling your coffee/tea requirements.
Would definitely stay here again.
The check in was completely hassle free, literally picked the keys up in reception and went to the room. We met owner Martin who was a nice guy who works hard to look after the place to such a high standard.
Breakfast was awesome, everything on offer and very nice.
Price was reasonable for such a nice place, would highly recommend!
It may claim to "only" be a three star hotel, but I would far rather stay here than in a multitude of other "five star" hotels!
