I've just returned from Llanberis after being on a paddleboard course. I stayed at Dolafon Guest House for 4 nights for the duration of the time in North Wales, and it didn't disappoint. The property complied with all Covid protocol and was very clean throughout the house. The room was aired, and very warm every night - it was very quiet each evening so I slept so soundly too. The full English breakfast was delicious, all sourced from local produce, and become my morning ritual - I ate 4 on the bounce they were that good :) The customer service was equally excellent with Mauro & Sian obliging to dry my clothes in the boiler room after being out in the elements and in the lake each day - I was so glad they were so accomodating. Final words from me, I'll definitely be rebooking and look forward to next visit already. Many thanks, Julian

I'm a little late in writing this reply as we stayed here for 2 nights a few weeks ago. The Owner was very welcoming. The hotel was very covid aware and made us feel extremely safe. Our room on the front was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was plentyful and nothing was too much trouble. The Owners (sorry I can't remember names) were attentive asking if we wanted more tea, coffee, toast.
The location was great too, we had friends staying in their motorhome on the site 10 minutes down the road. We had not visited Llanberis before and found it was a lovely place to stay and explore other areas too. We spent a beautiful day in Angelsey which was not too far to get to.
There is much more of the area we want to visit too so we will return.
Thank you for making our stay such a pleasure.

A lovely stay here, they gave us details of the best place to watch the sunset and answered every query we had about the local area. Breakfast was brilliant, much better than you'd find in most hotels, like a home cooked full English! Brilliant location, short walking distance from Snowdon, it's on the high street so shops and restaurants are right next door. Overall exceptional value for money and some of the best hospitality I've ever experienced, very warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We fancied climbing Snowdon so decided to look for accommodation in Llanberis. Well what a find this wonderful place was! Fabulous room with a very big and comfortable bed. The owner even offered to cook us an early breakfast so that we could make the most of the day that we climbed the mountain. The Welsh breakfast was very nice and cooked freshly to order. This spacious guest house is ideally situated for the restaurants, lake and sherpa bus. We will be returning soon.

From phoning to say where are you from the direction we were travelling to leaving where we wished a safe journey home, you could not wish for better hosts.
Literally we were met on the main road, made to feel welcome, recommendations were given on eating places, offers were made to dry our wet clothes after walking Snowdon, plus many other kind gestures.

Room was suitable for what we needed, plenty of hot water for showers, hand gel available everywhere. Really good breakfast, plenty of parking and good location for Snowdon etc.

Will definitely be back

Stayed here with the family for two nights over the bank holiday and had a lovely stay.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the breakfast is superb... Just what you need before a day in the hills! The hosts were lovely and very helpful and accommodating, remaining flexible with timings to suit our needs.

The B&B is in the perfect location for exploring Snowdon and the surrounding area, I'd definitely recommend this B&B.

Just returned from staying at the Dolafon myself and three friends (to walk Snowdon) We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our rooms were clean and spacious incredible bed and very comfy! We were greeted by the owners who couldn't have been more lovely. Breakfast was delicious and they accommodated to our ever request (fussy eaters) couldn't get a better location for what we needed. Thank you both for an unforgettable stay and experience ☺️

Just had a really lovely 2 night stay at Dolafon Guest house. The hosts were most welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The room had great views, was spotless and cosy and warm... just what we needed after a long and cold mountain walk!! Breakfast was really tasty with a good menu choice. We’ll definitely be back next year.... thank you from Catrin and Evan x

We have just recently stayed here for 5 days and couldn’t have asked for a nicer placer to stay. The location is perfect for snowdon, the town is close to pubs and restaurants. There is also a short walk to the path unto head up snowdon.

There are also plenty of other places nearby to visit, Ogwen Valley, Watkins Path, Caernarfon to name a few.

Our room was a lovely size it was clean and tidy, had a fridge to!

Breakfast was great and a good choice, even catered for myself who is dairy intolerant.

The owners/hosts are very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure your comfortable and get to know you.

We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit and will be recommending friends and family to stay here.

We stayed for 2 nights in the middle of June as we wanted somewhere to stay that was near to the Llanberis Railway to go up Snowdon and had good parking and this suited the bill entirely.

When we arrived we warmly greeted by the owner and showed to our large and comfortable room overlooking the front garden with large windows allowing in lots of light.

The Guest House is very well situated being no more than a few minutes walk from anywhere in Llanberis

As the Dolafon Guest House is only let out on a bed and breakfast basis, the owner told us about all of the places to eat and drink in the town in the evenings which was very helpful.

The breakfast was cooked to order in the morning (normally served between 8.00am & 9.00am) and was plentiful and tasty, which allowed us to take our time before we had to walk the 5 minute walk from the Guest House to the Llanberis Railway Station for our trip up Snowdon, which takes approx 1hr each way.

TIP :- Ensure that you book ahead/online to ensure that you get tickets for the train that you want or you may have to wait until there is space on another train later in the day.

We were very lucky in that the summit was free of cloud when we got to the top

FYI, Dolafon is also only about 5 minutes walk away from the start of the Llanberis Walk route up Snowdon, which is approx 4.5 miles long (in each direction), and climbs approx 975m in elevation and generally takes between 5 to 8 hours to complete it (both ways).

The owners are really friendly, helpful and willing to offer advice about anything local if you just ask them.

All in all, we really enjoyed our short stay and the Dolafon Guest House is a credit to its owners, and we will not hesitate to stop there again should we be in the area in the future.
