We, as a family of three, sought a 'base' for an active walking holiday. We had been recommended staying at Oakfield House by family. Firstly the location is perfect, the car barely moved during our week. Oakfield House is based in the centre of the Snowdonia universe, slightly out of the centre of Betws-y-Coed. Having a teenage son (13) we needed to keep active! There is no shortage of things to do in Betws-y-Coed itself and Snowdonia as an area. Oakfield House has two rooms where there is a double, plus and attached single room, so ideal for us. The hosts really cannot do enough for you, both in preparation for your stay and whilst you are with them. The house itself is lovely, the rooms are large enough, the cleanliness is impeccable, breakfast is super all-round service and great food clearly chosen with care. Each day we consulted our hosts for activity ideas, they always had great ideas, filling the day, and a real bonus, the car didn't move from the (ample) car park as there is so much to do locally. Our stay was so good we are already booked again. Highlights: Service, care in everything the hosts do, activities and suggestions, large car park, cleanliness and of course location. Too much to list tbh!!

Jeanette and Steve have thought of every luxury here! The rooms were spotlessly clean upon entry, the beds were so so comfy (and the aromatic smell of the pillowcases was amazing). The breakfast was absolutely lovely, every morning, without fail. Jeanette and Steve were amazingly friendly and catered to our every need (with as many towels and drinks, especially bottles of water, that we could dream of)! They helped us so much with directions, the booking of restaurants and excursions and could not be more grateful to them for making our stay worthwhile! The rooms were great - there was a lovely, spacious room right off of ours where our son slept! The bathroom was very clean and the location could not be better. Not in the center of the village but not too outside of it either. Only a 10 minute walk into the town center and the views from the rooms were lush. Could not be more grateful to Jeanette and Steve for making our stay unforgettable - will definitely be returning soon!

Just returned from five day break at Oakfield House. Jeanette and Steve were the best hosts you could hope for. The property is beautifully furnished and impeccably clean. Our rooms were peaceful and comfortable with everything we needed. The delicious breakfasts set you up for the day. It is the perfect location to explore all of north Wales. We visited Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Benllech and climbed Snowden as well as enjoying the village. Thank you for having us and for all of your advice.
