This pub has a "local" culture. If you're a tourist (contributing to the thriving Cotswold economy) be on your guard here. We sat at table that was reserved, but only planned a quick drink. 16.05 we sat down, 16.45 the table was reserved for. A "local" person, I think female, but certainly don't want to assume her pronoun, loudly began telling her partner that we shouldn't be sitting at that table and should be sat somewhere else. Perplexed (and embarrassed) I wasn't quite sure what to do but rationalised in my head it was ok to sit at the table we selected. She then loudly stated "I JUST DONT GET THE GENERAL PUBLIC SOMETIMES". Wow. I then noticed "her", sorry "their" table had a little plaque saying "LOCALS TABLE". And then I understood the apparent discrimination. We sat in the wrong area of the pub. Our skin and being didn't fit because we were not local. We did not have the power and control that the locals had. We were 2nd rate citizens. It's 2024, #bekind. Do not visit this pub if you value humans, empathy and kindness, you simply won't find it.…

Lovely pub, great atmosphere and friendly service. Food extremely basic which was a shame. Yorkshire pudding was inedible ,overdone. Roast sunday dinner served in the evening appeared to be warmed up.

Desperately disappointing. We returned to the area after 20 years with fond memories of this pub, but oh dear oh dear. The staff were nice but not overly friendly, the beer well there were lots of pumps, lots to choose from on the menu but sadly not much was actually available on our visit. Apparently waiting for delivery. Now for the food !! We didn’t expect to much, it offers a traditional basic pub menu, eg fish and chips, steak and chips, plus a few slightly more exotic dishes such as chicken chorizo with roasted parsnip and potatoes in a sauce. My partner had steak and chips. It was ok but nothing special. To be honest you cannot go to far wrong with that. However, I went for the chicken chorizo. What a mistake. Absolutely awful!! We read a lot about how pubs are struggling and so we love to support our traditional English pubs. But oh my goodness this place seriously needs to up its game if it wants to survive. As a minimum employ someone who can cook basic food.…

Very poor meal, Brie wedges were not warmed enough to even melt the cheese in the middle, fish pie had minimal fish and a sauce that was flavourless and powdery, few garden peas, carrots and a a bit of cabbage thrown on the plate and small potatoes were hard supposed to be sauté. Worst meal I’ve had for a long time very disappointed. Waste off our hard earned money

The place itself is in a good position in Broadway, but and it is a big but, is rundown and needs some care too bring up into the required market, it is just scruffy and you will be better served at the Swan or the broadway Hotel.

This was by far the worst experience of all our travels in any stay we experienced anywhere in the country. Never ever stay at this establishment. Ask for clean towels and were told there were none floors so uneven and the shower was unusable. Hot was to hot and kept going from hot to freezing

A three night mini break with friends in Broadway. The Crown and Trumpet was the perfect location, close to the high street and all the attractions of this beautiful town. The welcome was warm, the staff friendly, the range of beers most impressive and the evening meal was excellent. What was the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the quality of the breakfast and the friendliness of Karen who takes the role of breakfast chef, waitress and chamber maid. The ingredients of the breakfast were superb and all locally sourced, beautifully cooked and served with genuine friendship and attention to making sure our every need was taken care of. Karen is a great asset to this pub. The only issue that stands in the way of a 5* rating was the comfort and size of the beds. Karen suggested that bedroom refurb was already on the agenda. That sounds a good plan. Thank you.…

Had pre booked for our large family group staying locally. Really accommodating, happy, chatty, engaged staff. Happy to advise on beer choice (Shagweaver was excellent - thanks for recommendation). So nice to see a ‘proper’ pub busy with visited and locals.
