Visited Cumberland lodge to find out more about their PhD programme. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I was really surprised by the negative review recently posted so felt compelled to respond. This is NOT an Ibis. It is a place for...More

The price has gone up considerably over the last few years but the surroundings and food remain superb. Rooms in the main house reflect the cost and are outstanding but rooms in the Mews are feeling tired and the en suites are sometimes very poorMore

This is a venue of enormous historical interest in an almost magical setting, yet with excellent up-to-date conference facilities, good food and a number of luxurious rooms great for both working and relaxing in. The staff could not be more helpful, and the whole set-up...More

The lodge is around 10 minutes by car to the castle, 1 or 1 and a half hour to central London. Not sure about the shuttle but they can arrange for Windsor taxi wich is reasonably priced.
