The Oakley Court is a quintessential country house. But that's not it... there's more, a lot more. If we said to you a location that's been the setting of many films, with 118 bedrooms, its own polo team and Her Majesty The Queen as a visitor would you believe us? Luckily finding out is easy. Our beautiful location is only a short drive away from London and Heathrow Airport. Whether you're coming for business or pleasure, our rural beauty on the River Thames makes us a real getaway location for those wanting to escape the hectic routine of the city, or just life in general. Our unique history has over time helped to form an exciting character that's distinguished but unspoilt, charming and vibrant. Just kick back and relax, let us pour you a glass of champagne (or two!) - this is your time now, there's no routine here. Cosy, comfortable and luxurious, that's all the important bits you need to know for now. Come and stay, be wined and dined on a set that's created by us and narrated by you to produce an experience that's entirely unique and is yours alone.

Just 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport, it's an easy add-on to your trip to London. There are only 4 mansion house suites, which I highly recommend as they are in the main house. (I would have been so disappointed to stay anywhere else on the property.) Make sure to have the full

Lovely river view room with a large comfy bed. Bedroom and bathroom spotless. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful but a special mention to the lovely man on the door. As others have said the breakfast pantry is super. Sadly both of us had eaten a large

We had sandwiches and some chips and salad. My husband was quite unwell shortly afterwards. We left and didn't say anything as my husband just wanted to get home. The waiter was very friendly so no complaints there. As my husband was ill for about three days and he said I just

Dear Flipfloptime7, Firstly, I am sorry to hear you husband was unwell and I hope he is now feeling better. I was pleased to hear that you found the waiter on the day you visited friendly and have no complaints about the service. Of course, I am disappointed to hear your comments on the sandwiches. I have seen the feedback you sent to the hotel and also the hotels response and unfortunately, I think there has been some miscommunication. I can assure you we did take your feedback seriously and the questions asked of you were to find out what had been eaten that day so we could find out if we had any other familiar incidents, to which we did not. In regards to the stool sample, this was purely to advise you that if you wanted to know the true diagnostics of why your husband was feeling ill, this was the route to go down. I am sorry that you found my colleagues response curt, this was certainly not our intentions. I hope my response can go some way in restoring some faith in The Oakley Court and I am sorry that you felt the need to post online. I hope you may decide to visit us again sometime in the near future. Kind regards Daniel Man Guest Relations Manager

Do you have to have a car? How long is it to get to the city?
The hotel is on the outskirts of the town, so a car is good, but lots of public transport available. Enjoy, it’s fabulous.
