Stayed in April. 5 star service, great city centre hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. Would not hesitate to recommend. Lot of choice on menu and the bedrooms are very comfortable. Can't wait to return!

I have been a regular visitor to Birmingham over the years and I have stayed in many hotels around this area. The Clayton is by far the best and the only choice for me and my staff from now on. The central location is perfect for us, the rooms are very clean, comfortable and the beds are of outstanding quality. Aimee and the team are always very welcoming and more than happy to help, nothing is too much trouble. The food is good and their restaurant and bar also has a roof terrace for al fresco dining.

It would be great if you could explain why your hotel does not allow co-parenting families travelling a long distance to visit their 10 year old child? It’s your policy to apply stricter rules than the government as only single people staying is allowed. We were given 2 hours warning before check-in that you were cancelling our booking today even though we emailed on the Booking.com portal two days before to explain the reason for our stay and the evidence for it as per your message to do just that. I was told in the phone that “we have to go into the portal to get messages so we have only just seen it and you should have called us”. This is even though you give the portal as the first option to contact you... Great service guys. I was made to feel like I had not followed your instructions by your member of staff who called me, when it is your team that cannot be bothered to login to the booking.com portal to read messages. The Government changed the regulations in 2021 so that families can co-parent in situations like ours. Maybe you can read the government guidelines again. There is a good article on the BBC News website explaining the change. It’s good that other hotels are correctly following the UK guidance and not discriminating against families who co-parent . Your own website says it follows the guidance so you’re not doing that properly, so maybe you can double check your policy again? I was also advised that you cannot even change booking.com to prevent people booking multiple occupancy bookings. This doesn’t make any sense! Surely you can work with booking.com to do this? Anyway, thanks for making up your our company rules on COVID for co-parenting families. It’s a shame you are discriminating against these bookings and only allowing work visits. My wife and I were really looking forward to spending time with her son this weekend. Thanks for a great weekend!

I have stayed in the Clayton Hotel since September 2020, for work purposes. The staff are fantastic, very attentive and can’t do enough to help you during your stay. The rooms are well equipped, with comfy beds and are immaculately clean. With COVID 19, the hotel have great processes in place to ensure the safety of their guests and themselves. There are plenty of hand sanitiser stations around, food bought in the hotel has the option of collection or room service and rooms are sealed after cleaning until guests are allocated the room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clayton hotel is very convenience of having the city centre so close as well parking near by. All of the staffs are so nice specially the duty manager ERFANUR who has helped me with situations on multiple occasions. He is extremely professional and friendly. The recent COVID situation hasn’t been good on most of us but I can confidently say that all the staff have been dedicated on delivering a quality service throughout. Regardless of this horrible situation they have stayed open for key workers and essential workers. Hotel is very clean and all possible precautions are being taken including regular cleaning, hand sanitizer and wearing of masks. Room service is available 24h so you can get a meal and a drink delivered to your room if you require so there is no need to leave the hotel once you are in. So far I have nothing but full of positive thoughts and amazing experience. “Highly recommended”
