Nice and easy to check in just had to sign one piece of paper and they have all the info. Takeaway Breakfast was super convenient this is an amazing idea considering some hotels font even offer breakfast during these times. They even called my room when it was ready. Really nice service for a budget hotel felt like a 4 star.

One of my first stop overs since lock down. As a regular visitor to Birmingham for business this is an ideal stop over place for my work and is a short walk into the city centre if the need takes you there. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a Covid safe feel about it. The room is your standard business stop over type set up, with the fixtures, fitting and furniture enough to keep you comfortable and get a decent sleep. One bonus over another nearby accommodation is this establishment has free parking. Looking for that a comfortable stop over could not fault this place.

We just wanted to get away for our first Wedding Anniversary. Stayed for three nights, should have stayed for less. We were told upon arrival that the room would not be cleaned during our stay, I was shocked by this, (I suppose this is the Covid 19 way) by day two the carpet was a mess towels dirty. Coffee and teas should be offered to guesses as they arrive as they are not automatically left in room (Covid). No bin in the bedroom? Had to take plastic bag of rubbish to reception, one member or staff took it from me, another told me to put it outside by a small full bin. Having no hand towel really not acceptable and two pillows on the bed odd. Thankfully there was an extra one in the draw, my husband needs a minimum of two pillows being asthmatic. Why give this place Four Stars. I slept very well. Room fine clean and compact. Breakfast very good, although no herbal tea. Nice location easy to jump on the motorway. Near the canal so you can have a nice walk, close to the city centre. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, very pleasant and polite.

Dear Pjwasherelol, First of all, we would like to congratulate your first Wedding Anniversary and the fact that you selected our hotel for that important event. We would also like to thank your score and review about the Hotel Campanile Birmingham. We are happy to read that overall you recommend our hotel as accommodation reference in Birmingham. Once again, thank you very much. Due to the current circumstances, we are taking special Health & Safety measures to protect all our customers, employees and suppliers. How do we do this? We are adjusting our standards and setting your health as our first priority. Protecting our customers mean that we don't leave in the room anything which has been touched or handled by the stay before you, such as coffee, tea bags, net curtains, cushions, etc. In order to protect our employees and guests, we only clean the rooms after each check out. All these measures don't mean that we are not flexible for each of our guests. It is for this reason that all of us in the hotel team offer daily fresh towels, amenities, extra pillows under other products at our reception. We will be more than happy to attend any request. We look forward to see you again and hopefully under more normal circumstances, where we can show you our best standards as usual. kind regards, Angel. Management

It may be corona-government guidance, but the experience fell short even for a budget hotel. I liked the modern interior in the reception, and also in the room. It was clean. Certain elements such as food ordering had been changed, and we were to ask for the coffee sachets, disposable cups etc at reception, but kettle still in our room. Food was ordered via an app. The kitchen had closed by our arrival, and the next day we did not bother. In the room, there were two pillows, and a spare, which I was tempted to open from its plastic bag, as one pillow to sit up right is not enough. There were only one other chair in the room. The tv small, but generally I think standard hotel room size. No fridge or cooler, no safe. The bathroom had two bath towels, and a floor towel but no hand towel despite the corona-guidance to wash hands frequently. No hand sanitiser to compensate. Hand soap and shampoo in wall-mounted dispensers. No conditioner, or other free-bees. I asked for an extra towel, as I wanted to wash my very long hair, and it was declined. I did not wash my hair until I got home (weekend away) due to this, and I did not feel clean. On the Saturday they did when asked changed my towels, but I had to wait 1 hour to receive these, despite having been asked to put my dirty towels in the laundry basket. Luckily I had a kleenex to wipe my hand after hand wash as no tissues other than economical eco-toilet tissue in the bathroom. The room served a purpose for sleeping, nothing more. Well having said that the door slams very loudly, and it is impossible to take a nap during day as the noise from cleaner hoovering, etc, doors slamming etc... and no, there were no ear plugs. The room was warm though, and the curtain dark enough, but not dark room, so bring eye mask if light sleeper -and ear plugs! It could just have been the location of my room on third floor in the middle. At least the stair case and lift were separated by a fire door, for which I would give this hotel a star for as even exclusive hotels fails to separate lifts from the hall way. Sleep well and enjoy your stay.

Dear Anita, Thank you very much for your honest review and for time to share it. As per mentioned things, we would like to apologise if anything disturbed your stay with us. We are trying to adapt to this ongoing pandemic situation as fast as possible and to improve our service. We applied new rues to protect our guest and our staff. Regarding some of the facilities such as cups, coffee, tea, milk, toilet paper and towels as well, we can provide only form the reception directly to our guests ( therefore we apologise for any misunderstanding with towels). On the other hand some of the mentioned facilities we don't provide as we are only a standard 3 star hotel. We hope it does not change your mind about us and you'll visit us again. We will try to provide you with better service and met your expectations. With regards, Reception
