Arrived at Travelodge and reception staff great. Went to bed and got a knock on the door by staff at 1am saying I’ve been smoking in the room. Advised them I was in bed and I don’t smoke. Staff shouting at me being unprofessional and unwilling to listen to me. Demanding I left at once while not causing any problem at the hotel. I had no where to go and had to sleep in the car. Never have I been treated in such a manner by staff in hotels. It really makes me wonder if I would ever step foot in a budget hotel again. Disgusting. Tried to complain but impossible to find a complaints number on the website
Aqa was really helpful and polite whilst reassuring me off what a safe and clean covid free environment i will be staying in aswell as showing me how to use the hotels system with doors and passes etc, WELL DONE! 10 stars
Firstly may I say the staff there are fantastic nothing is too much hassel and always available to help when needed.. Suzanna the manager was fantastic she was the highlight of the trip.. Super rooms are super cool Really happy and would defs recommend and stay again
The reception staff at check in were not overly welcoming and the receptionist was not wearing her mask over her nose - not a great start. Other reception staff during the stay were helpful and friendly. The room was as you would expect but the fact that the sleep timer on the tv had been disabled was really annoying. It’s a shame that the hotel doesn’t put socket points next to the bed either. The bathroom was the worst aspect because there was evidence that it had not been throughly cleaned. The underneath of the sink had a long yellow smear on it and the back of the bathroom door also looked to have yellow stains. The sink didn’t really drain away properly and the soap dispenser had no soap to offer. Water pressure in shower is also not that strong. Unfortunately, for this stay, there were inconsiderate and noisy neighbours through the night - not the hotel’s fault (unless you blame their walls) - just a comment about how people often think only about themselves. Overall, it’s a budget hotel and you get an ok experience but it felt quite busy on the third floor, given we’re still in a pandemic. …
Lovely place. Very formidable with lovely people and excellent service. The lovely Suzanna was so helpful as well as the rest of the ladies in reception. Would definitely return here to stay even longer during my next business trip. 10/10.
