I went to stay here for 1 night after family crisis, Omer the owner/Proprietor was so charming and welcoming , the decor is a work in Progress but everywhere was immaculately clean , I extended my stay by an extra night but when I realised it was convenient for work I booked another 5 nights ( 7 in total ) and moved to a single room to save money . The dining room is open all day do you can eat whenever you like which is much more generous than your average B & B .There is a big Garden , washing machine available with washing powder etc . I would recommend Charde B & B to anyone and it would be my first choice when I have visitors from London who need somewhere to stay . Thank you Omer for helping me at a very difficult moment in my life , you are a very generous kind person and I wish you every success as you thoroughly deserve it :-) …
Dont ever book . We had the garden shed it was pure filth the floor and bedding was damp the bedding stained the bathroom full of grime and omg the toilet brush was mortifying . We where moved to the garage which was a lot better but had rat poison in a dish by the side of the bed and behind the toilet
Hotel is not very clean - I’m sure my son was biter by bed bugs! The second day there was no breakfast available, myself and another guest rang the bell several times and received no response! Absolutely disgusted!
The room had not been updated for a long time, and the painted woodchip looked particularly dirty in places. The room's information folder had had tea spilled into it. The bathroom had a new electric show but the walls were grubby and there was peeled paper exposing what looked like damp, rotten woodwork. The carpet had a large burnt patch. The bed was clean, although the linen seemed well-used. "Continent breakfast" was self-service toast (with a too small toaster that toasted 2/3 of a slice, a choice of 4 cereals and muesli, eggs - for a boiler, and spreads from Lidl. No facilities in room - hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel etc absent. An experienced traveler, I came prepared. No shelf/cupboard near mirror for make-up etc. Not a nice part of Birmingham. Front door next to old bench and ashtray for smokers - not somewhere for a woman travelling alone to feel entirely comfortable.…
Due to weather we decided to stay the night before our flight I was worried what it would be like due to the terrible reviews, I was pleasantly surprised the room we had was clean warm and comfortable the only thing I’d change would be the pillows, we didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that if you only want a bed for the night this is an ideal place so close to the airport
