Where to start? I suppose the plusses, myself and a number of workmates (all diamond and some of us for many years) have been staying here since the back end of last year week on week, on a plus the staff here are fantastic, the rooms are chapter and verse what they should be, the first issue being in January with no warning a full month of stays was cancelled without warning. That was bad enough but a couple of weeks ago mid stay we were told (in my case by a workmate) we were out again on the Monday, made changes and booked another hotel only to find out the next day we were out on the Sunday instead of the Monday. I did feel for the receptionist on the Friday and the general manager on the Saturday having to be the ones who informed us but I have no such support for the people at head office? that made the call, the hotel and decision makers don't deserve to fly the Hilton flag or for that matter belong in hospitality for that matter.…
We stayed at the Hilton for one night before our early morning flight. The young lady on reception was so friendly and helpful and printed some info we needed without charge she also upgraded our room at no extra cost... the room was beautiful lovely views of the Runway it looked great at night, the bathroom was amazing good quality fixtures and fittings and a brilliant shower plus my favourite toiletries no cheap stuff... the bar area was very nice and the meals are lovely quality and huge portions! they had a nice choice of drinks too. We checked out the gym during our stay it was pretty good all in all our stay was great thanks to all the staff for making us feel welcome kind regards Julie and John lawrence.
Lovely clean hotel with really nice friendly staff. Comfortable rooms, ticked all the boxes for our stay before our flight. The restaurant was typical pub fare serving burgers and fish & chips but although way over priced for what it was it was quite nice.
Location is excellent, just across the road from the airport and a short walk to international rail station. Car park next door is handy but could be a little cheaper although if you ask at the hotel desk they can give you a discount for the nights you stayed. Covid preparations were brilliant, room was comfy, well cleaned and sealed off once ready. Breakfast for Honors members was still provided despite the ongoing covid restrictions. I was able to choose a time slot the night before up to 10pm and then either have breakfast delivered to my room or I could pick up at reception. 2 options of meat (my option) or veggie in the form of a takeaway bag which consisted of a hot bacon roll, ketchup, ham, cheese, yogurt, an apple, orange juice, tea, coffee and water. I was also able to take it in to the bar area to eat. I didn’t have my eve meals at the hotels so can’t comment on the food. The staff were friendly and welcoming …
Stayed for an overnight stay before flying. Staff were friendly enough but never smiled. Room is nice and has everything you’d need, but food was very poor quality for a absolute ridiculous price! I am a former chef and this was obviously pre-made oven pizzas and chips for £15! Small portions of desserts and the breakfasts were cold, fatty and not what you’d expect from a Hilton! If your going for the one night this is fine but bring food with you! Atleast the Stella is good!
