If you're tired of doing hard time in run-of-the-mill hotels, it's a completely different story at our former gaol, Malmaison Oxford. Instead sip the coolest cocktails in the free world at MALBAR and enjoy an eclectic mix of classic dishes with a twist at the Brasserie, from freshly caught fish to the famous Mal Burger. Good behaviour will get you privileges like free Wi-Fi, drench showers, plasma TVs and and even toiletries that are just begging to be nabbed by light-fingered guests. This is one hotel in Oxford city centre where you'll be happy to get a long stretch.

For my wife's birthday, I wanted to surprise her with something a little bit different, thus arranging to stay at the Malmaison Oxford Castle. Teresa was on the desk to check us in (and out the next day coincidentally) and was incredibly helpful and welcoming on our arrival.

Excellent location. Westgate shopping mall is literally next to the hotel. The main shopping area is within few minutes walk. We stayed in the new wing, the rooms were comfortable with a nice view over looking the inner courtyard. Overall a good stay and will consider staying

Our second stay at Malmaison and it really lived up to expectations. We stayed in the Governor’s house which was very nice, with a decent size room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. It was also extremely quiet and dark - I had the best night’s sleep I think I’ve ever had in a

Hi, does the Malmaison have a lift, or are stairs the only access?

What are the parking arrangements?
Hi Bob, hope you are well the parking at the hotel is limited and "spaces" are tight. The charge is £28.50 per 24hrs which has to be pre-arranged before arrival. Upon arrival it will be parked by a valet at the hotel. We would recommend using the nearby Westgate shopping centre car park for your future stay better spaces and well lit for your vehicle plus is nearly half the cost of the hotel. Hope this helps you out and wish you a better stay than us. Kind Regards Ayre-Pearce.

I would phone and spark to them. We did it online and paid for a junior suite and the one we got did not look like the photos.

Sorry I dont know what the highest standard room is. I am pretty sure you can request a particular room depending on availability. Why dont you call or mail the Malmaison in Oxford directly?

The cells are actually larger than you would think. Each 'room' is 3 cells knocked together - so the bathroom is in one (and are therefore large) with the bedroom being in two cells knocked through.
