We stayed at the hotel at the weekend of 25/26 June and experienced the best guest service we have probably ever encountered from Ms Kristi Gjoni, one of the Guest Service Representatives. Kristi went well beyond the call of duty in seeking to locate an item that we had forgotten in our room, leaving no stone unturned! We were hugely impressed and will certainly be returning to the Randolph Hotel. Having previously stayed in other hotels in Oxford, after experiencing the superb guest service from Kristi, we will now be making the Randolph our first choice!
This is a really classic hotel in Oxford and so one would expect high quality accommodation. Unfortunately it does not live up to expensive expectations. Rooms are clean, which is good, but they are small and there is a heavy duvet (no sheets) and poor quality pillows. The breakfast is incredibly limited (though at £20 not too expensive) I paid £484 for a single delux room. Had it been half the price it would have been reasonable value. Very disappointing
Our family has stayed here multiple times for student drop off, visiting and will gain for a degree ceremony. The location, facility, rooms, etc. are all top notch, but what really sets this place apart are the people, from the doormen and bell staff to the front desk, to the bar and restaurant. We've had both a health issue while staying and business needs (a private place to host a webinar) and both times the assistance was proactive thorough and beyond expectations. Jane and Abbie especially deserve to be singled out. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.
If someone is disabled - then think again. My wife, and I together with some friends went there for a drink. My wife is wheelchair bound. The only - and very poor - solution to getting her up several steep steps at the entrance was staff laying out a portable ramp which made access very difficult and hazardous As this hotel was refurbished only a couple of years or so ago a level entry disabled access appears to have forgotten about
If you are planning to visit the magjhopr sites in Oxford, this is agreat hotel to saty in. Excellent location, very beautiful hotel and staff are really nice and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
Fantastic position in Oxford, clean rooms with friendly staff. However the breakfast was shambolic and the food was probably the worst I’ve ever had in any hotel. The tables were so close together it was difficult to get in or out of your seat. The Morse bar could be great, but getting a drink was difficult, Don’t go in there if your thirsty. If your on the fourth floor there is only one tiny lift and you share it with the cleaning staff. Very poor TV selection. It’s a shame, with some attention to detail this hotel could be great.
We enjoyed afternoon tea and an overnight stay as a special birthday celebration. The service we received was excellent and we were very comfortable throughout. A shortage of staff at breakfast meant delays in receiving our hot drinks but the food itself was wonderful.
I stayed in the Randolph during the April bank holiday weekend with my mum and sister for a night. The service in the hotel was brilliant, particularly from Billy. He made us feel very welcome and was a friendly and personable man. The room we stayed in was beautifully and traditionally decorated, and was clean. We enjoyed the Alice in wonderland theme in the hotel and restaurant and the decor of the hotel overall. Thank you!
Nice location, clean rooms but not a 5 star hotel anymore - trading on past glories. Was shocked when hotel staff left our door open after cleaning it, we came back to an open door. Reported this immediately to the front desk, they said they would make enquiries as to how this happened and get back to us. Unfortunately this never happened - on checkout (24h later) we asked if they had any update on the issue, the front of desk said they “hadn’t been able to get in touch with housekeeping”. Shocking service and you’d expect a lot better at the price point
The hotel is the most charming and pretty place you can stay at. Also very central and has. Very nice atmosphere. The decor is to die for. Really very British but nice British. I salute the decorator.
