Finally got around to using a Christmas gift card for a "champagne" afternoon tea - which turns out to be prosecco but was cold, bubbly and served in lovely glasses.

I first stayed in this hotel in June this year after a last minute decision to have a few days walking in the area. I was unable to find a reasonably priced single room in the area as most already booked or were a bit...More
Midweek informal dinner with friends. Gourmet style food served in a homelike ambience of the old Manor house in Settle, North Yorkshire. Impeccable service and very polite staff. Definitely worth to visit.

I stayed for 2 nights .Room was good but no shelf in bathroom no chairs in room. Comfy bed, some nice views, very convenient for places to eat in Settle. Breakfast is a farce, not enough staff, 30 minutes wait on first morning and food was barely warm when it arrived. On second morning had to sit in snug and keep going across hall to get things from breakfast bar. I had asked about gluten free items and ended up having bacon and tomato. On second morning a huge plate arrived with half a rasher of bacon and half a tomato, that was my breakfast! Husband got the full English, it was hot this time
