I would not recommend this hotel. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. When I called the reception the man at the desk kept picking up and hanging up. I then went down stairs to query about this and he said oh he was on another call. Which is a total lie because I clearly hear him hang up the phone. The room was at a low standard there was only one sheet to cover the mattress it was not a proper fitted sheet. The bathroom had mold in the shower and the sink was clogged and didn’t drain properly. During breakfast I ask if I could have some food to takeaway for my partner and she said I would be able to take continental breakfast but not the hot food. However 5 minutes later a white man asked if they could take some for their partner and she said okay no worries confirm his room number and delivered the hot food to his room. It is clear of the discrimination which is unacceptable. The breakfast was straight garbage anyway don’t waste your time or money this is a crappy hotel never again.

Having visited the Baltimore Hotel Middlesbrough many times for a drink and dinner with a group of friends, we decided we would go again having not been for 2 years. I rang to book having sent an email beforehand to which I got no reply, the excuse for not answering the email was ‘we are not very busy as we have just opened’ presumably from Covid. If it were my business I would be checking emails regularly for bookings. I was told that we could go to eat in their dining room Friday 20th and booked for 7. On this occasion pre ordering was not required. The young girl even checked with the manager while I was on the phone and I heard him say it was fine. She took my mobile and email, name as well. We turned up last night and got very strange looks from staff, when I arrived my friends were sitting in reception as they said the bar was no longer where it used to be. Hotel has clearly changed hands since the pandemic. What was the dining room is an Indian restaurant where all chairs were on tables. The Hotel had no record of my email or phone call. The girl at reception went outside into the garden to speak with what we presumed was the owner. He walked towards us and just continued out of the main door without saying a word. The young lady did not seem overly concerned nor did anyone say sorry, in fact I would go so far as to say they did not care. I asked why I had not been called bur no record of my details had been made, so not only was the member of staff incompetent bit the rest of the staff and service was appalling, I aired my concerns, fell on deaf ears and we left. We will not be returning.

Where do i start i was sold a triple and given a twin for myself and my husband to celebrate our anniversary MR EJAS HUSSAIN the owner is a liar and a con man. On 06.08.21 I stayed at the hotel for one night in room 115. I mentioned to the receptionist and Mr Ejas Hussain at the time, the accommodation was unsatisfactory in the following ways, I was sold a triple room for myself and my husband to spend during our anniversary trip away. We were given a twin room with separate beds. This was brought toMr Hussains attention and he offered to upgrade our stay on a second visit at a date of our choice which I felt was satisfactory at the time. The package I purchased included breakfast and this is were my decision very quickly changed from ever wanting to visit the accommodation again. Having been told Breakfast was served between 7 and 9am we went down for breakfast at 8.30. Greated by the receptionist we placed our orders for 2 cups of tea. By 9am we hadn't received a drink but 2 other staff members approached to ask what we wanted both being given the same order and then we finally was served 2 coffees. I being pregnant was very specific with what I ordered which was simply well done sausage well done egg beans and toaste and my husband placed his order to for the full English breakfast. When it finally arrived my egg was runny and undercooked the toast was still in the form of bread the sausage looked edible but everything else on the plat was unsatisfactory. So I kindly asked if I could get new round of toaste and a well done egg. Everyone in the breakfast room were either not getting served or getting the wrong order staff walking through with shopping bags of bread and can tomatoes etc it was all going wrong The chef was apologising to all the tables explaining that he was an Indian chef not a breakfast chef. By this point I was so hungry I just wanted my breakfast. Being pregnant and wanting something to eat we very quickly decided to leave the staff having tried to deal with the all the problems with every table that morning new what had happened and quickly offered me a full refund. Mr Ejas Hussain was informed of this a too agreed i would receive my refund on Monday morning. After avlong week of chasing this up being fobbed off and abused my Mr Hussain. We have still not received any firm of compensation for the the errors that were made. He is a liar who promises to rectify the matter and then gets angry with you for chasing up what is rightfully owed to you. I will not be leaving this. I want my money back.
