The Tudor Court Hotel, nestled in the heart of London, with easy access to all the major sights and Heathrow airport is the ideal location for business or pleasure. We are one minute's walk from Paddington Station. The Tudor Court Hotel at Paddington has clean, modern rooms to suit all budgets. Nicely decorated, this is ideal for both tourist and business use. The hotel was built in the mid nineteenth century and converted into a hotel in the mid twentieth century. The hotel does not have a lift but good old fashioned stairs.

A delightful hotel in a superb location with an incredibly friendly staff, especially Mehdi and Oulaya, whom we chatted with daily. The hotel maintained high cleanliness standards, tidying our room daily and providing fresh towels, new coffee sachets, and clean glasses/mugs. The only drawback was that beneath our room, there was an underground area, leading to some difficulty sleeping at night due to noise from passing trains.

Starting with the outstanding, like 6 out of 5 stars good, the service/hospitality. Prakash, Conan, Medhi and everyone else, were absolutely delightful. They were welcoming, witty, and most importantly, incredibly helpful. Service truly made the stay worth every penny.

Good: the room was as pictured (I was on the first floor, room 121. Yes it's small, but accommodating for a solo traveler like myself. It had everything I needed--a CLEAN and comfy bed, TV, and storage for belongings. The ensuite bathroom was clearly a later addition to the room The bathroom steps up into a space no larger than a closet or airplane lavatory--larger guests may find it too small (for reference l'm but again, I'm 5'10" and didn't close the door while using the loo and my elbows touched the sides of the shower at all times). Nonetheless, I was in London to be out and about so the room and bathroom were perfectly fine for me (note also, water was nice and hot).

The room was good, but minor improvements and touch-ups are needed. For example, the hanging light above my bed did not work, and was really just hanging in there. Some of the crevices could use a good wipe (along with the vent in the bathroom). Wood screws holding the wall panels were visible...I would have used a countersink bit before putting the screws in and then use wood putty to cover so it's less visible.

I read a number of comments about the proximity to Paddington Station. That's a huge selling point for me because it opens up all of London. On my level, the trains didn't bother me at all. At most it occasionally sounded like a light thunderstorm (which was relaxing) but I kept my window open most of the time and rarely ever noticed the train or any noise outside.

Overall, it's affordable and gives you everything you need if you plan to explore London. The hospitality alone would put this high on my list.

I received the finest welcome and customer service from the staff and owner at this hotel… probably the best ever…. Awesome...nothing was too much trouble and they went that extra mile to make sure I had a wonderful stay.

The location is superb for the Paddington station with train, tube and bus connections to be found for the rest of this wonderful city.

This is a traditional hotel, on a fabulous terrace of historic buildings, it lacks some modern amenities most notably a lift, but the price paid reflects this.

The compact room provided everything that you require for a comfortable stay, the bed, duvet and pillows were very comfy and aided a good night’s sleep.

The television required replacing as it was worn out yet the Wi-Fi was powerful and easy to connect to.

The bathroom was a modular capsule wet room which was very compact, yet functional.

All in all a hotel with exceptional customer service and great value for money.

Definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others.

Response from Connan Gupta, Owner at Tudor Court Hotel
Responded 5 Nov 2022
Dear Guest, Wow, it was wonderful to read your fantastic review. As I have been in the industry for over 36 years, I understand what our guests need in as far as information about the hotel, locality and London as a whole. Along with my assistant manager and reception staff, we are well versed in knowing or researching what this wonderful city has to offer. So, we were particularly pleased to read the first part of your review. We strive to offer excellent customer service. Paddington as a whole is an excellent place to stay as we have links to Heathrow and all the major train stations servicing the capital as well as connections to all of the major sightseeing places and London attractions. As you're in the heart of the capital, you have easy access to Heathrow Airport in a matter of minutes, making Paddington ideal for guests flying into this airport, particularly. We are continually investing in our bedroom soft furnishings, with our guest's comfort in mind. The bedroom shower ensuite pods, are the most space efficient watertight models on the market ensuring our guests have their own private facilities. Once again thank you for your superb review. We so look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind regards Connan Gupta

This place was close walking distance to the Paddington station, making it easy to reach from Heathrow, and convenient for our train ride the next day. Medhi, who greeted us warmly when we checked in, made sure our bags were taken up the stairs to our room, and insisted on having them carried down for us when we checked out also. We arrived during an unexpected heat wave, and he offered to upgrade us to an air-conditioned room for only 10 pounds more. He was also very helpful suggesting places to eat. He seemed like making his guests happy and comfortable was a true priority.
The room was TINY - barely any space to place our luggage and still walk around, and the bathroom was minuscule. (I joked that we could pee, wash our hands, and shower without changing position) But the bathroom was new/modern and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC was SO appreciated!
It was definitely tight quarters (there was a small clothing rack right above the coffee maker, so I had to move the clothes to heat the water. It would have been difficult and claustrophobic to stay there for a long period of time, but for the one night we were there, it was perfectly sufficient. And the room was very quiet.

Booked this hotel for a 3 day break after reading reviews which were all very good. This is a small privately owned hotel in Paddington, it is an old building in a quite street. We arrived a little early to check in and was given a great welcome by Mehdi who was able to check us in as our room was ready. We also met Connan the owner who also made us feel very welcome. We were checked in very quickly and efficiently in a very friendly way. I should point out that the rooms are spread over 3 floors so if you have difficulty climbing stairs be sure to ask for a low floor room. Remember you are in London and you are in a budget price hotel so you will find that rooms may be smaller than you are used to but you will find everything you need for a short break. They are cleaned daily to a good standard with towels changed daily, there is a tv, kettle, ironing board and iron and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar but there are several within a few yards, Paddington station and underground are just 2 minutes walk away which allows you to gain quick access to the whole of London. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel if you are looking for a short break in a very friendly, clean , comfortable, well located hotel at a reasonable price .

I really enjoyed my 8 nights stay at Tudor Court hotel in London, UK, this January 2023. I was especially impressed by the hotel staff, with Mahdi at the front desk greeting me the first day I arrived and recommending me restaurants to eat around the Paddington area of London as well as giving me really helpful advice on transportation, such as Paddington station close by with only 5 minutes walk away, and Mahdi giving me great advice on touring London, UK and it’s sights and helping me choose tours to go to.
The Tudor Court hotel has a great location just 5 minutes walk to Paddington station, with all the great sights of London, UK just a short metro ride away.
Also the Tudor Court hotel has very good cozy rooms and toilet, with a nice temperature and cleanliness with bedsheets and toilet and room nicely cleaned by hotel staff each day when I get back to the hotel.
Also the room with I stayed in was pretty quiet throughout with no unsavory people loitering in the hotel and surrounding area in Paddington, London, UK, with very good safety in the neighborhood Tudor Court hotel location in Paddington, London, UK.

This was our first visit to The Tudor Court Hotel, Paddington. We have stayed in many of the hotels around this area as there is so much to do around here, reasonably priced hotels, good food and bars nearby. This is up there as one of the best, for a local budget hotel.
We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and assisted to check in immediately, with an offer to carry our luggage to our room.
Yes the hotel is an old building but you could see that an effort had been made to update the interior. Carpeted throughout, clean and well presented. I have mobility issues and the buildings are so old around here, there is actually only 1 hotel that we have ever found a lift in. Our room was located on the first floor so a not too difficult climb of one floor. There was a fire alarm incident on our first night, but we had barely got to the entrance when we were informed that we could go back to our rooms - a very tiny inconvenience and for safety, we were more than happy to participate.
Lastly, the price. Our double ensuite room was very reasonably priced, in comparison to other hotels in the area at the time of booking. Would we stay here again? - Most definitely. In fact we tried to book for early December but they were fully booked for this time, we had to book elsewhere, but to me that was a sign of a thriving business and long may it continue for them. This hotel was conveniently located, just a 'stones throw' from Paddington station. It was spotlessly clean and such friendly people made for a happy and comfortable stay. Thankyou TCH :o)

We stayed at the Tudor court hotel for 3 nights, we booked a compact twin room and while it was compact it was extremely clean with comfy beds and tea and coffee facilities. It was also very reasonably priced.
The hotel itself is set on a quiet and leafy square, with nice cafes and restaurants just around the corner. Very close to Paddington Station so excellent getting to and from Heathrow and really convenient for anywhere in central London
The whole hotel is well cared for and looks very clean and smart and the people who run it are so wonderful…helpful, friendly and excellent hosts.
Recommend very highly

If you want to sleep in a real London Pension and not in one of those stereotypical big chain hotels, you are in the right place. Top location in Paddington in a quiet street facing a small square (with a statue of the Paddington bear) and very very close to metro and bus stations as well as the train station (3 minutes max walk). There is everything you need in the adjacent streets like restaurants, pubs and miscellaneous shops. Little Venice is 5 minutes away for a superb walk along the canal. At the Inn you can not have a better welcome than Mehdi (who speaks French). They are all adorable by the way, of a kindness as rarely seen these days and always ready to help us. You can drop off your suitcases in advance free of charge (which they take to your rooms) and leave them on the day of Check-out (for us the whole day). We had single rooms and one was a little larger than the other. The rooms are small but well equipped: safe, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, fan, air conditioning (£10 extra/day), TV, suitcase holder, USB sockets (for the largest room) and mini shower room with toilet (please specify at Reservation as there are rooms without bathroom). Comfortable mattress and good soundproofing between rooms (you can't hear his neighbors!). Very clean rooms, made daily and towels changed on request. Careful, there's no elevator. We were delighted with our stay at this Pension and will return with great pleasure.
